Nothing wrong with it still a reliable starting kit, that still sells well. maybe in the currant day and age it is lacking some of the more desired features like vari voltage and whatnot, I know of several people who got their start on a standard KGo battery kit and did just fine. as time goes by with the vast amount of accessories today you will want something a little more featured and robust but this is a great way to step up from cigalike systems.

If it works for you thats all that really counts, good luck and vape ON..........

not if it works, there really is no "wrong system", there is more or less features now thats all, and depends on what you want out of it.

for someone who changes devices constantly a variable voltage is more preferred because each device is a different resistance and needs different voltage but if your the type who screws on a clearo and uses just that all day, then its not needed. once you know where the sweet spot is, say 2 ohms for you then you can just buy more stuff thats 2 ohms.

In the end its always wise to buy a few more things, especially batteries for back up. when that time comes buy something like an ego twist or vision spinner and then you have the VV to play with also.

you can never have enough backups- we cant run to walmart if a battery dies.

if your just starting out this system is perfectly fine, will work, and be relaible, but this is the first step of a very large flight of stairs so to speak, if you choose to go further with gear.

I also bought/used a KGO a while back. I got it because it was a wood mod, and I really liked the looks of it ... and at the time ... the power. I don't use it any more cause I got spoiled with the Provari and Zmax ... but it's a very nice pv if you're still using the fixed voltage! I remember I was very surprised to learn my usual eGo charger wouldn't work on the KGO ... I felt a little ripped off at having to purchase another charger!

The kgo was my first "real" vaping kit and it was a great place to start, good price, good vape time, and if yours came from hoosier as mine did, you can't beat the customer service. I still have both of my kgo batterys (my kit came with two batterys and two clearos as well as the charger) and -this part is truly amazing-both of the clearos. I keep them around, one is usually in the kitchen and one in the living room for drive-by vaping, use them while cleaning, doing the dishes. The clearos that came with mine are the best clearos of any I've tried, no plastic taste, haven't leaked in four months. I have a couple of zmaxes and a segelei clone now that I keep my tanks on, and they are nice for the long vape times but for a basic ecig battery the kgo is a good one. I recommend them for new vapers and in fact bought a kit for my daughter when she started vaping. =)

I agree with what's been said. The KGO is a solid contender to an eGo non-twist. Great price, great battery life, awesome colors. I still use mine on the go with lr cartos, but mostly stick to Twists now. One nice thing about the KGO is at 1100 mahs it's as small as a 650 mah twist. Hoosiers a great company too. If I remember right, the KGOs that are released now have some small improvements to the one I own from a while back.

when i used to have my mistic e-cig it only came with a battery, and a cartridge. the kgo starter kit i purchased comes with 2 atomizers and 6 cartridges. what exactly is an atomizer and whats the difference between a cartridge and an atomizer?

sorry just confused. i didn't think about it until now.

I think you're thinking of a cartomizer. In two separate pieces, an atomizer sits below a cartridge on top of the battery (threaded onto it) and is the spark to start producing vapor in the cartridge containing the juice. A cartomizer is the same thing but in a single piece holding both. Thus carto (cartridge) omizer (atomizer.)

you screw the atomizer on first then add the cone then press in the little cartridge after you fill it.

while the batteries are rock solid i would suggest a few more accesories, as the cartridge system is kinda hit or miss. sometimes they work great sometimes they dont.

try some of these from the same seller if you like them. in the end they usually work better and last longer.

Vision EGO | Virgin Vapor | Electronic Cigarette Organic e-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes

Boge 510 Cartomizer | Virgin Vapor | Electronic Cigarette Organic e-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes

since the tank style is not used as much i had the wrong idea of what you meant by 3 piece system.

the atomizer is just a small coil of wire that heats the fluid, the cartridge is just a small tank that feeds the coil.

what voltage does the kgo battery have? also, what lasts longer a carto or a cartridge? and you can use cartridges more than once right

yes the cartridge is "usually" refillable till worn out
the batteries are 3.7V i believe.

which lasts longer is up for debate. i have had carts fail after a few days some last weeks with cleaning. the tank will last until the plastic around the hole cracks or wears the hole bigger causing leaks.

you should look into trying something called a clearomizer, its tank and atomizer in a one piece screw on unit.
