I would consider myself a heavy vaper, although I am sure there will be heavier out there! I vape in the car, at home, at work, in fact, if I smoked as much as I now vape there would not be any room for air!

Discount your initial set up cost because as most people are ex smokers, three to four weeks of smoking would account for this.

My kit consists of a Vamo set at 10 watts and 5 volts with a Borge low resistance cartomiser vaping USA mix with a hint of menthol. I kept my receipts over the past few months and calculated that I spend on average £6.10 per week as opposed to the £50 per week I used to spend on smoking. vaping is a no brainier really!

Never really thought about it, not really a cost issue, my reason for stopping smoking was a health decision, and my spending on shiney stuff continues as this is more of a hobby and collecting addiction than anything else.

I suppose if i spent less on bits and bobs i would be quids in, but hey, you cannot take it with you, got to spend it on something.....

Not really had chance to calculate costs yet as i've only been at it a couple of months so still buying / trying different devices, getting smaller sample bottles of e-liquids, etc so costs will lower as i settle down.

I'm pretty sure it is going to work out at under a tenner though - used to be £50 - £75 per week on smoking.

The cost is always a bit higher when starting off for the reasons you stated. I have not calculated as I have gone along but I have been vaping now for one year and could not work out why my bank balance was looking much healthier when I looked the other day. Not many people notice when it varies by a couple of hundred but when at the end of the year it's a couple of thousand, then you notice. :D

I spent £17 a week on rolling tobacco, filter and papers. I am currently spending about £6 a week on all vaping supplies. I started in April with an expensive cig-a-like starter kit and so I am currently still £70 over what I would have spent on smoking, this is dropping rapidly now that I have all my batteries and clearo's in place and about 3 or 4 months of liquid in stock.

Vapero,
I read your post, looked down, saw the $9000+ that you had saved since giving up smoking, read your post again and thought, OMG you have spent nearly ten grand on vaping gear!

Then I read properly and noticed it was Pesos.

I've come to the point that vaping costs me next to nothing nowadays. After spending several thousand Philippine pesos (or a few hundred US dollars) in total over nine months or so, I now have all the gear I need, as well as stocks for DIY juice and RDA rebuilding needs (tens of meters of wick and wire). Man, it's been more than a month since I last spent on vaping, and I'm still good for several more months.

In between those periods were lots of trial-and-error, some wasted money (on bad items), hours of research, and much love for this great habit and hobby that is vaping.

I used to smoke 4 packs per week, or 150 pesos more or less. My vaping prolly costs me less than 100 pesos per week at this point. So yeah, I have cut back my spending.
