I have been doing DIY mixing and have mixed up some pretty tasty juice... hopefully gettin several Capella sample flavors will last a while.. I've always been a menthol smoker, but the premixed menthol I've been vaping is pretty strong and have mixing a lot of fruity and sweet mixes... actually getting pretty tired of the sweet stuff... any suggestions for a savory mix to balance out all the sweet??

I spent about $300-350 a month on damn things.

Deciding to buy vaping toys a juice hasn't come close to that.

I vaped one full 10ml bottle of juice this week. That was 5 bucks.

I figure even with my penchant for getting obsessed with new toys that it's going to cut my costs by 2/3.

Now I have to figure out how I'm going to spend this new "found" money.:D

It's not really about the cost as much as the HARM REDUCTION from not inhaling hundreds of carcinogenic chemicals and carbon monoxide.

Besides there are hundreds of gadgets and different flavors of e juice. Then you can make your own. Even more flavor combos.

Face it u must quit your job and devote all your time to vaping and trying new flavors.

;-) ;-)

I spent around $225/mo on my PAD habit. Vaping has definitely been less expensive for ME. My husband handed me a mod he was no longer interested in, so that didn't cost me anything. So, the juice I've purchased has been my only expense really. That was $50 for 100ml of AVE Hype + $18 for another 12ml bottle at a local place. That juice will last me at least the rest of this month. Even if I add in 2 attys a month, I'm still way under what I was spending on analogs. So yes, vaping has been considerably less expensive for me. :)

To sum it up
$225/mo - Before
under $100/mo now

Tacoma Wa,
I used to inject my own smokes and paid about $7.50 a carton so i spent about $5.00 a week to smoke.

For me to vape costs about $10 or less a week if i buy my stuff online.. but about $19-$25 a week if i have to visit one of the many vape stores around my apartment.

I've cut down the cost alot buy getting 36mg PG with extra flavor then adding my own VG to knock down the nic level.

How do you freeze your juice? I'm just starting DIY juice and would be interested in knowing how to freeze the stuff. If I can make a juice I really like and then make a huge batch and freeze it??? That would be great! Do you put it in the small 30ml-60ml bottles and freeze them all and just take out one bottle at a time when needed? Or do you freeze in large batches, thaw and split it up at that time? What's the system you use? I'd love some input. :)

Glycerin doesn't freeze, but it gets really thick when 'frozen'. I keep mine in the freezer just to extend the shelf life. Juices are best when mixed fresh, but they'll be good for a month at least. Keep you nic base in the freezer, and then mix it as you need it; I do it in 30ml batches, which last about a week and a half.

Once you mix the flavor with the base liquids and the nicotine, they start to break down. Mix them fresh, but the components will keep for a long time if you store them correctly.

First month was pretty crazy for me, didn't find this site until I'd made about 4 poor choices, but now that I'm on the right track I've finally leveled out money wise (even with buying a new Roughstack+batteries+cartos this weekend), think I'm about to hit the point where this starts costing less than analogues lol.

I see someone further back using 100% Nic' to dilute down to appropriate levels. Is it as dangerous as many rant about? As in = when you open the bottle it will gas you, and cause instant death, unless in a fume cupboard, etc?

100mg Nic is not 100% - it is 10%... That is what you have been reading about.

It is dangerous and should be handled with care, but gassing you and or instant death is an exaggeration - it sounds like a misread (just a small one). Getting above that level would definitely require the fume cupboard etc. and even at that level adequate venting is required.

Even a lower Nic level could make a child sick as they do not have years of being exposed to nic as a long time smoker has.

There are many great threads in this forum on how to handle it properly. You need to read them to learn more before you jump into ordering something that you are not familiar with... Just a small word of advice.

Yes, and excuse my humour, but I have read a lot about handling Nic' juice, and I had a feeling it was much exaggerated in many other forums. I might be inclined to immediately add the same quantity of PG to it if I bought it, and then be down to 5%, before diluting further with the other necessary ingredients.
