There are thousands of videos and posts for rebuilding atomizers of all types. There seems to be a shortage of information about these atomizers in particular though. So, let's start here and now and share what we have come up with that actually works well and doesn't produce the same results I got (along with many others) from the factory atomizers.

What I did here was a vertical coil, wrapped 28awg Kanthal around a paperclip with a coating on it which is around 1/16" inside diam. maybe a hair smaller. (honestly, I think I like a little bigger diam than this for wicking reasons) Also, I used 12 wraps and ended up with 1.5 ohms which I find to work great for me. And of course, I burned and squeezed the coils all tight to prevent a hot spot. I wouldn't try dry burning and then squeezing these coils in the atomizer body because the base sets too high to get to the coil effectively.... Torch and tweezers for that. Another thing is to get the bottom of the coil almost even with the channel the original wick set in, so it is far enough away from the insulator and not too high also. I used cottonball wick, 2 pieces and made sure the coil is covered from top to bottom (without going under the coil and obstructing the airway at all) You should be able to see straight through the completed atomizer. IMO this allows much more juice into the coil chamber to vape from and I do pull the air bubbles out maybe every ten huge hits or so. What I like best besides the great vapor, is the fact that it will absorbe it's excess juice if too much gets pulled in becauses its a bed of cotton surrounding the coil and air should only travel through the coil.

I hope this helps! Please share your ideas as well. Thank You!

i also use a vertical coil wrapped on a paper clip mine came out to 1.1 ohms and i have a tighter bend at the top than yours pictured. i lay the paper clip on the coil and bend it around the clip for a much tighter bend. my only problem is even though im using cotton its not wicking fast enough and i have very little cotton in there. the cotton is actually yarn split into two threads and if i try less cotton it leaks. so to get it to wick faster i just unscrew the atomizer and let 2-3 air bubbles rise up and good to vape 6-8 hits then do it over i get great flavor and massive clouds compared to stock coils even though its a pita to force it to wick all the time i really like the vapor it produces so i'll keep building them this way and keep experimenting with cotton amounts till i get it perfect

The pic of the coil alone is just an exxagerated example of how to bend it. It was out twice as far as it should have been, but if that top leg, which should be the ground, touches the atomizer body it will shorten the overall wire length and lower the resistance farther. Being that it is ground, it wont really matter other than the resist. change, if it touches the body.

I use a lot of cotton in mine and it wicks better than the slight amount of wick from the factory that will leak and gurgle all over the place. It is tricky though to get enough cotton inside without having so much that it gets too smashed where it exits to the juice. I stab the cotton with needle tweezers also to relieve some of that pressure there and push some cotton back inside the body.
