The pipe cleaner idea is a great one Andria - I'm off to my B&M after work today and I'll see if they have any there. If not, CVS may (no Walmart near me)

Dchemist - I have to get a multimeter (can't find my trusty one) but I will check the resistance to see if that is part of the intermittent issue too.

TJ - I'll keep it in mind, but I don't think overfilling it is my issue for this one. I am trying to figure out what flavors I like the most, thus am filling my tanks to 2-3 mL at most, and the Aspire is a 5 mL tank. Good point to remember for later though!

You might also try Hobby Lobby, or Michaels, or any of those "crafty" type stores, since Walmart considers them arts n crafts supplies.

Walgreen's has pipe cleaners, right in the same area tobacco is. So does Kroger's if you have one. The best is Dill's Cotton Pipe Cleaners and can be found online or Kroger's.

Yeah, that really would be better! The ones I have, from Walmart, aren't cotton, and I find I have to swab and swab sometimes, to really get the driptip clean, and that's probably the case down in the tube too, I just can't see it. Thx for that tip, I had no idea that Walgreens carried them -- even though I bought cigarettes there for years! But the cotton kind are at Kroger? We shop there several times a week, it seems.

Supposedly they do have them, hard to say from store to store. I do know you can get Dill's cotton type online. When it comes to pipe cleaners you have to have a good look, many are just stiff bristle nylon type cleaners, most likely the same type that Michael's and other craft shops have. But Dill's or Bryn Mair/Mayr is the best 2 choices.

I offer no help but I loved your title.

That's what the voice in my head says while I puzzle over my dilemma - the problem is, I'm not sure what's wrong :(

The scenario - an Aspire Nautilus on top of a Seven 22.

Frequently when I change juice, I get drip in the chamber, which then goes into my mouth and tastes terrible, of course.

I break the Nautilis down into five easy pieces, and wash each piece. I tighten everything back together firmly but carefully (I think, but most likely not), being aware that the chamber is Pyrex so I shouldn't overdo it. The coil piece I wash the bottom half of, as I can see that there is residue on it. I do not put water in the center of the coil.

I then dry each piece off and take a Q-tip to any parts that I can get to. Back together, fill it with a dropper only on the size not down the center chamber, and that's it, juice in my mouth half of the time. I then curse, repeat all steps noted above, and wind up cursing again usually.

Can anyone identify what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks and happy Fourth!

I had that problem with some of the bottles that didn't have a dropper, and then I figured out I needed to fill my tank WHILST wearing my reading glasses!

I couldn't see the minute amount of fluid that sure tastes/feels like a lot that got squirted down the coil. Not sure how old you are, but damn it as I found at at age 50, I needed a little vision assistance! *lol*

good luck!!

Heh.. I started having this problem at the age of 38, my arms just weren't long enough! Now I'm at the max available OTC at the drugstore, 3.25 diopters, so if they get any worse, I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and get some "real" glasses. :( I'm thinking bifocals... ;)

I hate those bottles with a dropper and not one of those really skinny dropper-tips. I use syringes with those!

I scanned through the four pages to see if this was mentioned, so excuse me if it was and I missed it. My wife & I both use mostly Nautilus tanks so we're pretty familiar with them. We noticed that I almost never have a problem with them flooding but she does frequently, so I looked at the differences in how we both vape.

She tends to run her's at a very low voltage but still chain vapes like I do but I run my tanks at as high of a voltage I can get without them burning or losing some of the taste. So my juice was getting better vaporized while hers was not at the lower voltages. I set her vaporizer at the same voltage and that stopped a lot of her flooding. Basically she had the voltage so low the coils would not vaporize all the liquid she would draw into the coil from sucking on it (that just sounds wrong!!! sorry couldnt come up with a better term).

Have you tried raising the voltage a bit? I run my Nautilus at 3.8 volts using their 1.8 ohm coils, she was running hers at more around 3-3.2 volts.
