YouTube is really annoying-I need to see videos

I have been having issues with YouTube for almost three weeks now. The videos load super slow. Those that load at all(in pause position as bar runs ahead) sound all choppy. Most videos seem to just keep loading over and over. They will begin to buffer like then play 2 seconds then it recycles all over. I would think Google could fix the issues with the double digit billions made yearly.
I know it is not an ISP issue. It's not a browser issue, so wth is going on?! I looked on YouTube help and many viewers are having the same issues with video loading. It appears there are YouTube issues floating all over cyber world recently.

Anybody else able to watch the general videos,e-liquid, E-cig video reviews with zero load issues? If so, can anyone offer any suggestions I may try. I have tried our 3 computers and one at the library. All have the same trouble. Any help would be greatly apprecited.

Sometimes I notice during peak times the server (their end ) is slow. More so the equipment is not keeping up with the demand.
I have no problems checking things out later at night or early morning.

I have a similar problem where a video plays just fine for a certain length (it varies from a few seconds to 1 minute or so) and then just stops with the wheel spinning. It usually comes back only after a minute or so if I leave it alone.
I can force the video to fully stream in one go by opening a new browser window, go to Youtube's homepage and permanently hit their logo on the top left. It usually makes the download pick up again once it stopped. It's very annoying though.

I'm on a Mac with Firefox and I've read about issues specifically on that combo. Safari is a bit more fluid in playing video content but I just prefer Firefox for most things.
