from what i have been reading the joye 510 seems like a very good entry into the e-cig arena. i would be getting the PCC. i have also looked at the smoketip model but here the 510 appears to be getting better reviews. the only question i have is about the atomizers. with the smoketip you get a new one every time. does this mean i should be concerned with the atomizers on the 510 since it only comes with 2? i would also be ordering the usb pass through so i dont kill the batteries when i am at home. any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. i will continue to read the stickies and threads before i order anything. thanks in advance!

You should have a few extra atomizers and batteries lying around. I have 3 of each right now, and i started vaping 2 days ago. Atomizers can go out at any time

that's good advice. The atomizers don't last forever, but they're relatively inexpensive so we're pretty content with just having a few on hand. Anyway, even if you bought a new one every week (they last for probably a month or two,I think, sometimes more) you'd still spend less than what you spent on cigarettes and it's worth it to have a really good PV. PS: Welcome!:)

i was gonna get the starter kit at first just to make sure i like the whole i deal. thanks for telling me that the atomizer last for about a month. ill give it a shot for a few weeks and go from there. right now i am smoking a pack a day and want to greatly lower this or stop all together. i have alot more research to do as far as refilling, cleaning, and all the genreal info a newbie needs.

agree with the above...

510 atomizers are the most durable i've yet to encounter, and should last you several weeks, or more. Recently 510 cartomizers have been introduced. I am awaiting shipment, so i can't give any type of personal review. I know HealthCabin.net sells the soft-tip version, and LiteCig.com has what is supposed to be a new-and-improved style.

About the 510, I love it! I use it for home, and have a kr808d-1 for out-and-about (due to the cartomizers). 510 carts don't last very long without requiring a refill, and are less than convenient, for me, to use at work.

I had a bad experience with my 510 Passthrough, and will not be ordering another. For at-home use, I just picked up an eGo/TORNADO, from TotallyWicked-eLiquid.com. I love it. The one major draw back to the 510 (besides the cartridges) is the battery life. The Tornado boasts battery life nearly 4x that of a standard 510 battery, and is worth the extra cash.

to sum up.... definitely get a 510! LiteCig, and MadVapes also sell disposable models for $10, which i have yet to try (awaiting payday), but is a great price for a nice introduction to e-cigs. also, look around the forum, check out the different cartridge MODs. There are many, and I can't say which will work for you, but they may offer better performance than your typical 510 cart's.

i hope this helps.

if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. everyone here was in the same position at one point, and are always willing to point you in the right direction!

check back often as there are many contests and givaways! you may find yourself coming away with some cool gear! also the classifieds are a great place to hang out. many people are just trying to pass along their unused equipment/software (e-liquids), just so someone else can reap the benefits.

take care. and godspeed!

all juice is not created equal. i suggest Tasty Vapor - perhaps the atomic cinnacide. ;) and you're probably gonna want to goto ur local pet store and pick up MarineLand Rite-Size U blue aquarium foam. Search the forum, you'll find how to use it in your carts, it works mostly as a plug. Welcome to the vaping world, you're gonna love your 510. I got 25 starter kits and have sold 11 to friends around my area, only 1 person said it wasn't for them. I think they didn't give it a chance tho. There is a learning curve, but with this forum, you can figure out anything.

Hi, I'm a newbie, and I ordered my Joye510 kit from cignot. The Starter pak offers 2 of everything (for $35) -- i.e., 2 batt, 2 att, 2 carts, USB chgr. On one of my batts, I ordered no LED. My thoughts were that it would just be less for the battery to have to deal with and that the batt. might last longer. Then I got to thinking of some of the posts I read here that said to put the batt in the chrgr until the LED changes. Then I got to wondering how I would know if the batt. was charged if there is no LED. Do you know the answ to that?

I have been using Blu for a few weeks....and I am off cigs after almost 50 yrs! I just bought the 510 and some menthol e juice and I am hoping I will understand how to use it. I also purchased some of the cartridges for when refilling isnt an option.
Is the 510 interchangeable with the Blu, anyone?
Thanks!
ruchamah

I don't think so. On the good side though, you may be so happy with the 510 that you won't want to use the blu anyway.

There are basically two designs out there: One is an atty as a seperate thing, which you use with a simple plastic cart, that gets refilled. Those are 3-piece models (the 3rd piece being the battery.) The other design, called 2-piece, has atty and cart combined into what's usually called cartomizer or carto. Those are intended to be thrown away after they are empty, but most can be refilled. But even if you do refill them, they don't last nearly as long as the atomizers of a 3-piece model.

I brought my last atties in December, and several in November, and so far, none broke. (One I thought was broken I managed to resurrect.) Two are on the brink, though. It depends very much on how you use them and how you take care of them, but I think it's safe to say they will last at least 6 weeks on average, and very often a lot more.
Those plastic carts last even longer, if you replace the fluffy filling once in a while. They are not exactly expensive, though.
