I have had my Z2 DX-350 for a few days now. The build quality is really, really good as the previous poster stated.

It does not seem very forgiving to differing battery sizes. It is not a double-adjust so I have had problems with flat-top batteries not fitting well.

I'm not sure if I care for the switch. Compared to the GUS and PAPS it seems clicky-clunky. The switch is well-built, I'm just not sure if I like the action/throw. Mine almost seems to 'grind' when I depress it. I didn't see any way to lock the switch but it requires a fair amount of force so I don't think it will fire just by setting it down.

Overall a nice unit. I like the modular nature of the Z2 line and can't wait to try the Carto tank, but if I was looking for a straight 18350 mechanical (at this build quality/price) I would probably spend a few $$ more and go with a GUS core or GP PAPS.

I have the DX-650 and that's pretty much spot on. The switch does feel like it's grinding occasionally (not often). I don't mind the throw and the spring is stiff enough but I did zap myself once adjusting my RSST (my own fault). I spoke with Mike about the battery rattle at VapeStock and he said it was designed that way to help prevent corrosion on the contacts due to arc flash.

Overall, I think it's a great mech. And it looks great with an RSST.

Thinking of picking up a z2 dx-490. Can someone tell me if the switch is lockable? cant tell from the pics. thanks

While I'm thinking about it, has anyone measured the voltage drop on one of these. Seems like quality parts, so it should be pretty good.

No locking that I can see, but does not fire when sitting, even with an XL pyrex cato tank on top.

Thanks. I'm looking or a good every day pocket carry mechanical. I'd be worried about carrying it around in my pocket without a lock. Would you agree?

I have been carrying it in my pocket for 3 days, and have had no problems. It is a pretty stiff button.

I noticed on the electronstix site, under zenesis parts and accessories, they show a screw with two washers as a replacement part. I received a bag with two washers but don't understand what they are for. Do they go under the screw to increase the height and allow for battery size tolerances?

yes the washers go under the screw to help it make better contact, with my 350 it wouldnt fire until i put two in, it also makes the switches throw shorter.

Been a few days since i got my Carto Hybrid.
I gotta tell you guys it is amazing......
This changes carto's flavor and is my go to device.
The top cap seems a bit loose and its wobbly if you set it down because of the switch.
My only 2 dislikes but its "AMAZING"
Build quality is Superb!!!!
