Signed up myself. Regular set. Figure it would be a good way for me to sample flavors from different venders I otherwise wouldn't have bought myself. May find myself surprised with a flavor I wouldn't have thought twice about.

I am a little worried about the varying nic levels tho. I also have a 2nd invite code if anyone is interested.

* spare code has been claimed

I ordered my gold box last night! I am excited. They look like they have some great vendors on board already! I have tried some including Potion vape, and they are stellar!

I wonder if you can change between programs, normal to gold, or vice versa??

I will be interested to see when you can choose your nic strength, and flavor profile...I hate menthol for instance.

2 concerns that have already been stated. Are the flavors just rejects, and without a way to set nic levels, what kind are you going to get. Gonna sit this one out until some feedback starts coming in.

I have no idea, of course, but I've participated in several different kinds of non-vaping groups like this before. Usually, it's either a pre-release of something coming soon to generate early interest and reviews or it's a way to test and get feedback for products that aren't quite ready for market. That may also be why nic strength isn't selectable since that would make it easier to make one big pre-steeped batch of a flavor for testing and send that out. To me, that concept seems smarter from a business perspective than sending random free samples out to well-known vapers who may or may not have the time or inclination to try the product. Other similar groups I've participated in also threw in exclusives and extras that you could only get if you participated. But again, I have no idea how this one will work beyond what's on the website and in the email.

I'm debating whether or not to sign up. I got my invite earlier today, but I have more juice than I can ever use and 100ml a month is about what I vape. LOL! I do love the surprise factor though, and curiosity usually gets the best of me. I will probably end up doing the lower-priced one as a compromise, at least for a few months to see what it's all about.

Ended up just getting the regular package. Should be here tomorrow. Honestly, with the whole nic level thing, this will probably be the only month I'll get it for now. Until they figure something out with that. I will report back with the contents of my package as soon as I get mine.

I sent ZampleBox an email inquiring about setting nic levels and flavor profile for the boxes. This was their response.
Hi John!
Welcome to ZampleBox! Yes, your Gold ZB has just shipped :).

You are spot on. We are working on profile and nicotine preferences. However, it is a very big logistical challenge and we want to make sure we do it right.

Love the support and welcome!

Cheers!

Best,

The ZampleBox Family

how does one get invited... I am hurt. I spend 4 billion dollars on juice a month and I have been vaping 4 years ;-)

anyway, you don't need an invite, as posted earlier in the thread, you can sign up.

I am debating too... but I likely won't... I love the idea... but I hate 5ml bottles of juice... to me, it's like a waste of a carto or atty...

I am weird that way I guess...

I really like the idea of this. Usually I can't get behind things with monthly subscriptions. As much as I'd like a new pair of shoes each month or a box filled with make up arriving at my door, they just don't tend to be my thing. This is one that I may actually see the benefit behind. I have a hard time deciding what vendor to try next, as well as a hard time just finding liquids I enjoy. The hubby also vapes, but he isn't as picky about his liquids, so I'll have to talk to him and see if he likes the idea of this. If not now, I will definitely be waiting to see if they pick up anymore suppliers along the way. Can't wait to see people's reviews on the box too!

It seems the first batch of people got their boxes. They mainly are identical. A 15ml of hawk sauce from mbv, a 15ml of sasspirillo (sp?) From 503, and a couple others. Around 70 total ml for that $25 ($4.95 for shipping). Mainly 12mg bottles.

I should be getting mine tomorrow

The more people you invite when you sign up the quicker ZampleBox will send you a code.

I might do this....as long as you can cancel any time lol

BTW do you guys know if they are able to ship internationally? (Canada)

I borrowed a code (thanks msgnyc! <3 ) and ordered up this morning (my order already shipped)!

If I get garbage for the next few months, I'll quit. Nonetheless, I am hoping that this model pans out in that I can try some new flavors/vendors for only $25/shipped and expand my palette.

MBV sending hawk sauce alleviates my worry that vendors will dump junk. I personally don't care for that flavor very much but I know it's one of MBV's signature flavors. Hopefully all of these vendors will be motivated to send samples of their best selling stuff in competitive spirit. This might be one of the reasons to be an early adopter.

Wish list: flavor profile and vg/pg preferences that can be selected in your account profile

Thanks. Does anyone know if they are able to ship to canada without destroying my wallet? otherwise I have a US mail box at blaine washington...which is like 2 hours away from Seattle. I'm on a budget and $20 seems fairly reasonable to me..

I spent $200 in the past month and I still havent received my juices...stupid Canadian customs (i'm gonna be choked if theyre seized)

I know this is a bit off topic, but here it goes. Yeah customs can be a ..... some times, I remember somebody on this forum was saying they ordered from FastTech and 3 months later they still hadn't gotten their order. They lived in Mexico and customs seized/threw away their package. :( Hopefully that doesn't happen to you though.

This is on topic though. Yeah $20 for 50ml or $40 for 100ml is a great price. $4 for 10ml of quality juice? Sign me up! Oh wait I already did. :)

The highly anticipated Zamplebox arrived with the mail today and I wasted no time cracking into its contents. Before I dive into the center of my thoughts on this, I just have to say that the shipping time was insanely fast. I signed up for my plan on Monday afternoon, and my box arrived shortly after 4pm today. Unreal that the USPS can move that fast even with priority. (No offense to any postal workers reading this!)

PACKAGING
Zamplebox is a simple postal box with the branded sticker on the bottom. To me, and this is totally beside the point, but the company as a whole could use some better branding. Green vapor, like actual green vapor and not he liquid itself (ala Pluid) just doesn't seem like the mental connection I would want to make. Toxic crusader comes to mind as well as a host of other nasty gasses from popular culture. That bit aside, the pouch that the liquids make their journey in is a nice touch. Again, this is an image thing, but it would be a smart idea to brand and coordinate the color of these bags in the future. As people trade away liquids, offering a handy pouch with your logo on it is great advertising.

JUICES
As I opened the pouch I got a super strong whif of Pineapple and Saspirilla. I got very nervous as I reached in to retrieve the first bottle as neither of those flavors, ESPECIALLY combined, appeal to me at all. However, the luck of the draw was what intrigued me to try this out, so I proceeded with the utmost trepidation. Let the juice roulette begin! Just as I thought... the first bottle I pulled was 503's Saspirilla. A very handsome bottle and dripper, that I will most certainly be trading away. Following that were 2 more selections destined for the PIF thread immediately. Of the remaining selections, one was something I was actually wanting to try (score!) and another was something I was about to re-order but in a lower nic level (double score!). The final selection was something I would never select based on it's description, but the smell from the bottle is absolutely fantastic. This one is the toy surprise at the bottom of the box I was hoping to find. The big concern most folks have voiced so far was the random assortment of nic levels. I'd say the average was about 18mg throughout the box. I'm a 6-12mg guy, so I'll be going through the samples I'll keep at a fairly slow rate. All in all I'd say the box was about 50% keepers, which is a bit of a letdown. If they can develop a profile system that allows users to specify a nic level, I'd certainly drip a few of the "meh" sounding flavors just to see what they were like.

COUPONS
I'll preface this section by saying I know these vendors didn't have to include an offer of any kind. I'm also a firm believer in paying a fair price for quality product. That being said, the impression that I got from the Zamplebox signup page was that the "offers" were part of the exclusive deal you'd receive with your account. I don't know much about most of the vendors that included coupons, but they seem pretty limited. Mt Baker's "offer" was the same deal they give everyone who orders from them. Again, this isn't a complaint about the vendors per-se, but a thought about how Zamplebox sells them as a benefit include with your plan. Hopefully they can make this more interesting as time goes by, otherwise I wouldn't even tout this as a selling point.

OVERALL
I'm basing all of my opinions on the fact that this service is brand spanking new and there are certainly kinks to be worked out. I think the concept is fantastic and a very economical way to try new liquids. Heck, one of the vendors is from the Philippines and quick web search reveals no easy way of procuring their product here in the US. The potential for Zamplebox to bring selections from all over the globe (with some quality control measures assured) could be monumental.

I'm going to stick it out a few months to see hows things iron out. I noticed today that they've already added Nicquid as a new vendor for next month. There could be a dozen more vendors on board in a few months time, making this a really exciting service to have. As long as they can iron our out a nic preference system soon, I'll continue on. If not, it could be the one thing that sinks the whole concept.
