Zephyrus v2 top fill not opening

Hey everyone,

I just got a zephyrus v2 and I'm unable to open or close my top fill because of how tight it is. I've tried putting it in hot water with no luck and now freezing it for a few hours. I tried to open up the top fill after about an hour but still nothing.

Has anyone had experience with this or any ideas of what else I could try?

At a guess, you have tightened the top base on the chimney too tight, and it is binding the top fill port cover. My Lemo2s did that until I learned to reassemble the tank just finger tight. Those are great seals at the top and bottom of the glass. They don't have to be bolted down with a torque wrench

It was like that right out of the box. I may have got a mm or 2mm movement out of it but it's definitely stuck lol.

Ordered it from ace vapour and luckily I got back to them within 48 hours so they're going to refund my money if it can't be fixed.

Think suprtrkr has probably got it right - I did that with a nautilus - took a plumber's wrench and rubber matting to get it apart and a Nauti isn't even top fill, but sometimes factories do overtighten things.

Usually latex gloves and the right point to hold when trying to unscrew does it for me. Sometimes those connections are so small that we grab other parts too when trying to unscrew. Try with some gloves and also try to not apply so much force that you are bending the metal on the threads.
