I'm sorry if this is posted elsewhere- I looked and looked and couldn't find it.

Couldn't those of us who use 0nic just mix vg/water/flavoring? At least in dire emergencies? (Like we're out of juice and can't order until payday next week...)

I'm thinking of trying this but only have standard cooking flavorings (like vanilla, rum, almond) Some are labeled extracts and some are labeled flavorings.

Can I safely do this? If so, what proportions?

Thanks so much!

That's basically what I'm doing. When it was first suggested to me, I thought it had to be much more difficult than that. It's really not. Except that its very important to read through this forum a bit to learn which flavorings you need for safe use without killing your atomizers.
The posts here will also give you and idea of proportions but that part was a bit of trial and error for me to find the right taste for my personal preference so it'll probably be so for you as well.

So I tried it. Did about 75% VG, 15% flavor, and 10% water.

Flavor is stronger than I was looking for but works. And OMG... The vapor on this is much thicker and longer lasting than the carts that came with my e-cig. I knew that the vapewould be thicker with VG from everything I've read but this is almost 2x the thickness.

I do have one more question- I used McCormick Peppermint Extract. Is this going to be ok? Or should I use one labeled "flavoring" instead of "extract"?

LOL! I just realized the only thing I have labeled "flavoring" is rum. Maybe I should buy some cola flavoring and mix the 2. LOL!

How about 40vg /40 pg/20 cola? Would that give you a self-cleaning solution? or just make it gunky?

You don't want to vap cola, if you do all the sugars and other ingredients will be left on your atomizer. I remember an experiment we done at school when we boiled down a sugar solution in a test tube, all that was left was a nasty black gunk. Definitely something you DON"T want on an atomizer.
