Hey guys, Im still new to this and still learning. When should I recharge my AW IMR 2000mah battery on my zmax v5? should i recharge when the voltage reaches a certain number or wait until the battery indicator on the fire screen goes all the way down? Its at 3.7v now but the indicator is almost full still, any advice? Thanks

I believe it is advised not to let a battery go below 3.3 volts. The good thing is an IMR battery can be charged at anytime and it won't hurt it or shorten it's life. I usually charge my MVP2 when it gets down to 3.6 or 3.7.
Edit: I assume the Zmax will stop firing once it hits 3.3 volts because of it's protection circuitry, just like my MVP2. Monitoring and making sure a battery doesn't drop below 3.3 is necessary for Mech mods. Also a battery should not be charged higher than 4.2 volts (chargers should automatically stop at 4.2 but sometimes they overcharge, especially cheap chargers). If you don't have a multimeter it is a good idea to get one so you can check your batteries and ensure you and your device won't be harmed!

Your Zmax will stop working when the battery reaches 3.2volt I believe. All Variable voltage devices I have seen will cut off before damage to the battery occurs.
The only time you need to really pay attention to battery voltage is on mechanical mods since they do not monitor the battery.

Most APV's shut down at 3.4 or sometimes 3.2 volts, some people like to charge before then, claim it prolongs the useful life of the battery.
The batteries we use are rated at 3.7 volts, even though they charge to 4.2 volts. You can recharge anytime you want really, or wait until the Zmax gives the low vol warning and shuts down.

On a side note... How do you like the Zmax V5? Anything that you really like or hate? I fully plan to get one within the next month.
On my ZMAX V3 and all other APVs I usually recharge when the batt gets down to 3.5 volts.
Actually really liking it! My first APV so I can't compare it to anything but had it for a week now and I really like it. Only complaint might be that if I chain vape with a dripping atomizer, the body of the zmax gets a little warm, but that probably happens to all APVs, I think it's a great buy!
