Zmax Mini with extender cap

I picked one of these up today hoping that my 18490 battery would work inside of it. Although it works just fine, the extender cap will not screw in all the way. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what kind of battery I can use to make it work? I just want to get the most battery life out of the smallest VV device possible.
