Well after over a year of service my zmax has died on me, as I expected it eventually would.
Should be center pin insulator problem; always had a 'low load' error if I tightened down to hard.
(It wouldn't have lasted so long if I kept changing stuff on top I'm sure; I kept an adapter connected to it to let the adapter get the wear and tear).
Anyhow, surprisingly, the top came off a lot easier than I expected!
As usual, using the right kind of tools makes all the difference.
Didn't even bust the wires (so far).
