Zmax v2 help?

Hi. New here. Needs some guidance. Recently went from a ego twist and bought a smok zmax v2. I am using a kanger pro tank 2, and the problem is I keep getting a burnt metallic taste. I have authentic kanger coils, 1.8 and 2.5s have tried both but keep getting these nasty hits.. Any ideas..?

What wattage or voltage are you hitting the Protank with? If the Smok Zmax menu is similar to the Sigelei Zmax menu then you should set output to RMS instead of Mean. Mean output is higher than the actual output value provided by RMS.

I've been at the lowest possible on wattage an voltage and it's the same either way... Not sure how to switch the modes that you are talking about..?

You are lucky to get any vapor at all at the lowest possible voltage or wattage settings. You can select between Mean and RMS at Menu Item #8.

The Sigelei Zmax uses the same Yihiecigar developed Zmax chip but has its own Sigelei firmware. The Sigelei hardware is completely different. So, I don't know much about operating the Smok Zmax.

Put the same tank on my uncles lava tube
And it hit smooth and tastes better as well. Could it be the zmax doesn't like the tank..?
