I think ive seen 4-5 posts per day about this same exact thing just on different mods. Always the same cause. You overtightened. In doing so you compressed the rubber insert sitting between the contact point and the leads from your coil, to the point that it has recessed into the base.

I had an old rubber insert lying around, cut it down and used it a as an extension to the one already there. That works as long as you make sure everything is making proper contact and avoid super overtightening it.

The opposite is true here, I think. I had to tighten the bottom very hard before it closed all the way. I heard a soft "pop" when it finally happened. The problem is that the coil is not making contact with the battery otherwise. You can see this by going to 4.Ds and switching to the Ohm readout, which will say 9.9 until contact is made properly, then it will say around 2.0 Ohm.
