Vamo v5 issue...not producing vapor

I have a vamo v5 and it is not producing any vapor. I put batteries in it and the display comes on so it seems the board is working properly. I'm also able to cycle through the menus. I screw in a protank and check my ohms and it is 2.3 so it is recognizing that. I try and take a vape and I get no vapor. I take the tank off and put it on a different device and it works so I know it's not the tank. I've tried both 510 and ego tanks and none are working. I know the Vamo had a center pin issue but I don't think that is it because it is recognizing my tank when I screw it on. Any ideas?

Edit: batteries are fully charged. Tried an 18650, stacked 18350's and a single 18350.

What brand and type of batteries are you using? I tried using some cheapo batteries in my Vamo V3 and it did the exact same thing.

I've tried the ones that it came with (no name), Panasonic, Orbtronic. I've also tried both protected and unprotected batteries. The device turned on with all the batteries (even though I've heard that the vamo didn't like protected ones).
