Hi, I have a zmax mini and it keeps giving me code lowu, meaning low voltage. Website says when this code is thrown to recharge battery and reinstall. I've recharged battery to full capacity and when I put it in it flashes 3volts then the lowu code comes back. I'm using the iwr and it's 3.7 volts. I'm lost. Help would be appreciated.

In order to see if it's the battery or the mod or the charger, do you have another battery to try in your zmax, or another APV to try with the battery?

I'd suggest the battery is not charging rather than a fault with the zmax. Mine says the same when it's time to charge the battery and I've had no issues with it.

Do you have a way of testing the voltage of the fully charged battery? maybe another APV or a multimeter?

Finally, mine doesn't fire when I put the battery in with the wrong polarity, but I know some mods do show a low voltage fault when they are installed incorrectly - the nipple end should go in first (not trying to be a smart-... here, I've done it myself)

What type batteries are you using? Protected batteries can cause these problems.

Hello, sometimes "low" means that the atomizer resistance is too low, less than 1.2 ohm...

Input appreciated. I am installing the battery tit first. I'm using AW imr 18350. They are brand new batteries and they fire just fine in my other Mechs. When you first put battery in, is it supposed to display battery voltage? As soon as I put battery cover on on flashes 3 volts then goes blank. And when I try to fire it displays the lowu.

And it throws the code whether carto, or rba is on or off of it.
