I am really just too lazy to do facebook. Everyone I know seems to be on it ALL day long everyday, updating what's going on, and reading up on everyone else. My life is way too boring and I would end up just feeling sad that I had nothing to update! (or I'd have to fill it with witty half truths I suppose)...

I like pretending that i have friends :)

Me too. My "real" friends are all at home on Facebook instead of here at my house eating cornbeef & cabbage!!
Damn them all, I guess I'll have to eat all this alone...(oh, the husb is here, but he doesn't count...he doesn't like St Pats day and he always wears orange, so I won't give him any cornbeef!).

click their bug out bag link...for a low cost of $115 you can get 2 bottles of water, 1 ration of food, a back pack, some other worthless crap like a 40 piece socket set and a set of vise grip pliers etc. There may be $30-40 in supplies.

People are really cashing in on the disasters lately. Heres a company from Florida, Omega Zombie, doing the same thing. Their bug out bag, which is only slightly better stocked is $363 and if you add one of their survival knives it will, cost you up to $540. And its still not a complete ready to roll BOB.

I need to start a business selling BOB's, put in good useful stuff and cash in.

When you do your BOB, you have to decide if its a disaster bag or temp bag or are you going to pack for the long haul. A $100 water purification system is useless if you are buggin out for 3-5 days. A $200 hammock/tent is nice to have, but not a must have for a short period of buggin out. You wont need a machete, a survival knife, a folder knife, a multi-tool and a camp ax, if you are only gone for a week.

I guess when I pack my bag, its not really a BOB but more of a SHTF bag, meaning once I put it on and leave, I have no intentions of returning.

I've actually used all of those in the course of a weekend! Not a typical weekend but except for the redundant survival/folding knives, that's a pretty comprehensive set of tools to set up a camp. I'm not 'hard' enough to chop firewood with a machete anymore, even a ninja-to style one!
