Time for another review of a pod like device thanks to my friends of Aspire that sent me this device for the purposes of this review.

This device is very similar to the Aspire Cyber S which i also reviewed:


Main difference is the battery size and the shape of the pod device itself,so to get started as per my usual MO let i will leave some nice visual aid to give you a scope of the device i will be reviewing.

Packaging is correctly done and everything you need to start vaping is right there in the box.
Same contents as the Aspire Cyber S but in this case you also get a handy lanyard so you can always have the pod ready to be used.

Gotta say i am impressed with Aspire,they included a second cartridge in the box,other companies just to save some pennies decide to cut cost and just include the one coil/cartridge.

To be honest i am not a fan of the square shape but aesthetic wise this little pod delivers,metal on one side (with 4 leds) and clear poly carbonate on the other side which shows you all the innards of the pod.

Both cartridges (0.8ohm and 1.0ohm) are all primed and ready to use since i tested them out before with the Cyber S,both cartridges are compatible with either the Cyber S or the Cyber X.

Vaping time:

No fancy menu or settings to worry about,just 5 clicks to turn it on and voila i am ready to vape.

Performance wise i can't seem to tell the difference between the Cyber X and the Cyber S which i reviewed earlier,both coils deliver a proper MTL or RDTL experience.
In my case i prefer the 0.8 ohm coil in RDTL mode,just delivers more of the vape i tend to enjoy in my day to day.

To switch between MTL and RDTL you just need to remove the cartridge,turn it around and then put it back in the pod,right there easy peasy right?

Switching firing modes is pretty easy,with the mod turned on just press fire 3 times and 2 leds on the front with light up,press fire button once more to choose which led (mode) you want to use).
Led A means autodraw,led B means ''fire with the fire button'' and both leds on you can use both firing methods.

Apart from that you also have a nice warm led on the firing button that has 3 different colors that indicate your current battery condition:

-Green 100% to 60%
-Blue 60% to 30%
-Red 30% or lower

Pros:

-Aesthetically pleasing,transparent on one side shows you the interior of all the components,looks pretty cool.
-Ability to switch from MTL to RDTL and viceversa
-Quick charging
-Coils are flavorful with decent cloud production
-Solid feel when holding it,not flimsy at all

Cons:

-Only con i have and this is not Aspire's fault but more of my personal taste,the square shape just doesn't do it for me.
I found it kinda awkward to hold while i was doing my testing,but again this is just my personal opinion,others might like the square shape and find that it is comfortable when they are vaping.

Would i recommend this device:

Pod highly recommended for new vapers or just veteran vapers that want a smaller stealthier device.
Choosing this one or the Cyber S is just a matter of which shape you prefer or if you need some more battery.
Difference is 300mah from the Cyber X to the Cyber S,so its up to you to see which one you go for.

These tests below only note my personal ESTIMATED ratings for the batteries I tested at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This can be one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of property damage, personal injury, or even death. Never use them outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous discharge rating (CDR), never let it get colder than 0°C or hotter than 60°C, and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition. Never use a battery that is physically damaged in any way.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.




Test Results
I cannot guarantee that this cell is a Molicel P45B rewrap but due to its appearance, performance, and some other info I cannot discuss, in my opinion this is a rewrap of the Molicel P45B. It is the all-around best performing round cell we can buy.

At about 20A and lower this cell performed just a little worse than the Molicel P45B’s I tested earlier but they are essentially the same at above about 25A. In my opinion you won’t see any difference in actual use.

The Epoch’s delivered 4482mAh and 4525mAh. The Molicel P45B’s typical rating is 4500mAh so one cell didn’t quite make it but both Epoch’s easily exceeded the 4300mAh minimum rating. This might be due to them being pre-production samples and not fully tweaked yet since the date code is for 2021. The Molicel P45B’s I tested also were under 4500mAh.

The 45A rating of these Epoch cells is not a true continuous rating IMO. The Molicel is rated at 45A in the preliminary one-page datasheet but that rating is temperature-limited to 80°C. When the cell gets that hot you must stop. Since this Epoch would go over 80°C at between 35A-40A continuous you must stop the discharge early.

So while technically the 45A rating for these Epoch’s is accurate I am disappointed that there is no mention on the wrap that it’s not a true continuous current rating (which can be used to compare against other cells). Most applications will never run this cell continuously at such high power levels but I believe strongly in accurate, consistently set ratings. 18650BatteryStore contacted me though and said that the wrap will be changed to add a continuous current rating and list the 45A rating as temperature-limited. This is great news!

Since the Epoch 45B reaches about 85°C at 40A (down to 2.5V) I will be giving it a an estimated 35A continuous and a 45A temperature-limited rating (stay under 80°C).

This cell is double-wrapped, a good thing for durability, but Molicels are already a little bit larger than most other cells. That can make this Epoch a tight fit in some devices. I recommend testing their size before committing to a large purchase if other cells are already a snug fit.

Pineapple and apple with lots of cooling. It's nice to describe it, as it's not a complicated aroma from a flavour perspective. It's one of my lovely wife's favourite flavours, so I can't write too much bad about it, because I'll end up getting off . So. Small foil wrapped box, with a glass jar containing the flavouring, that's how you get the product, completely sealed to prevent any damage. The mixing ratio recommended by the manufacturer is 10-15%, I chose the safe 10%. Before testing, I was thinking that this combo " pineapple and apple with lots of cooler" will probably weaken the apple taste. Well, it did. On the inhale, the cooler plays on the throat and on the exhale, the slightly pungent taste of pineapple is added. The cool sensation is quite strong even at 10%, but they make a very good pair when complemented with the fruit. True, the apple, as I thought at the beginning, is not noticeable at all, but to be honest, I don't need it for this pairing. There's not much to tell about the pineapple, as all the chilling makes it feel more like a cold and icy, almost frozen pineapple cubed fruit. It's a perfectly fine flavour, the flavours are well combined, but still be careful with it as it likes to leave black coke residue on your roll.

I got a giant set of these "Simply X" fruit flavors, pineapple, pear, apple, etc, some menthol and some not, a few years back from a big discount bundle. I've finally run down to my final bottles, and I've realized that the company was shut down years ago. Hello there folks,time for another review thanks to my friends from Aspire who sent me this device for the purposes of this review.

Today I'll be reviewing teh Aspire Cyber S which is a small pod device with both MTL and RDTL capabilities.
As my usual MO let us get started with some visual aids which will help you get a feel for the device i will be reviewing.

Kudos and a pat in the back to Aspire,they chose not to skimp and went ahead and included TWO cartridges in the box.
Other companies don't do this and in the case when you get only the one coil/cartridge and it ends up being a dud you royally screwed,but not with Aspire they give you 2 different cartridges so rest assured your vaping needs will be satisfied.

The device wuth 54.5 grams isn't heavy at all but it feels solid and i gotta say that it does look pretty cool,half of it covered with metal and the other half transparent.

Vaping time:

I tested out this device along the Cyber X (they share the same TSX pods) so i already had the coils (0.8 and 1.0) ready go,all primed and tested previously so once i made sure the Cyber S was fully charged and proceeded to give it a try.

Both coils gave very good flavor along a decent cloud production,switched between MTL and RDTL with both coils to fully experience how well it worked.
And yes it does deliver on both,you can get a good MTL or just take out and turn around the cartridge then insert and get a good RDTL.

As someone who is a DTL user i got more satisfaction from the 0.8 ohm coil in RDTL mode,still not what i am use to from my main daily device but it did perform correctly.
I had both modes activated (autodraw+fire button) and there wasn't a loss in performance when using autodraw,this something that other brands struggle with but with this device and the Cyber X the effect was the same.

Switching firing modes is pretty easy,with the mod turned on just press fire 3 times and 2 leds on the front with light up,press fire button once more to choose which led (mode) you want to use).
Led A means autodraw,led B means ''fire with the fire button'' and both leds on you can use both firing methods.

Apart from that you also have a nice warm led on the firing button that has 3 different colors that indicate your current battery condition:

-Green 100% to 60%
-Blue 60% to 30%
-Red 30% or lower

This device has Type-C 2A charging so when it comes to charging you can get it to 100% in about 30 minutes or so,that is a huge pro because you don't want to wait for hours until you can vape,that right there is the path to the dark side aka wanting to light a cigarette.

As you see its a pretty simple device which is a good thing if you're a new vaper or you just want a no fuss vaping experience.

PROS:

-Aesthetically pleasing,transparent part on the front was a good choice
-Ability to switch from MTL to RDTL and viceversa
-Quick charging
-Coils are flavorful with decent cloud production
-Solid feel when holding it,not flimsy at all

CONS:

To be honest i couldn't find any flaws,maybe a bigger battery but you also have the Cyber X with a 1.000 mah battery (300 more) so if you feel that you need more battery life just go with the Cyber X.


Would i recommend this device:

Aspire delivers the goods,if you're looking for something of this size and MTL (RDTL mode is a bonus) then yeah this is the device for you.
Looks good,performance is flawless and it is done by Aspire which has a good reputation when it comes to vaping devices.

► Aspire Atlantis GT Taifun; First Impressions:
Aspire Atlantis GT is the new sub-ohm tank of the fifth generation Aspire Atlantis series, the latest luxury clearomizer created through the cooperation between Taifun and Aspire (designed by Taifun, made by Aspire). The external steel protection cage characterizes this product and identifies it with Taifun's futuristic "indestructible" design already used successfully in the first appearance of the excellent Taifun-Nautilus GT for MTL. In the image below you can evaluate the compact size of the Atlantis GT for RDL/DL in the visual comparison with the gigantic Odan Sub-ohm Tank clearomizer by Aspire for DL.



The dimensions of Atlantis GT are compact and the weight is relevant for such a small vaporizer, in fact for this reason you can immediately perceive the excellent structural solidity of this product. You can therefore successfully use Atlantis GT on a medium-sized Mod, but also a large one, and the aesthetic result will always be gratifying. In the side-by-side images below you can see Atlantis GT installed on the small Aspire Finixx Mod, but the "perfect match" between aesthetics and performance (for my taste) can be achieved with the other 2 Aspire Mods which are equipped with shockproof protections to match perfectly to the Atlantis GT "indestructible" design. These Mods are Rhea X with 21700 battery and Rhea 200W with dual 18650 battery.



► Aspire Atlantis GT Taifun; Childproof Refill:
After my first impressions I began to take a deeper look at my Black Atlantis GT and discovered a very advanced filling system that integrates child locks. To insert up to 4ml of e-liquid it is necessary to slightly rotate the upper cap counterclockwise, then after a minimum rotation the cap lifts automatically and magically, revealing a good-sized side port for convenient refilling. Afterwards just turn the top cap slightly clockwise to effectively tighten it in its original position. This filling system is well thought out and is very robust in appearance, it also prevents the eliquid from ending up inside the chimney during topping up and prevents the involuntary opening of the top cap.



► Aspire Atlantis GT Taifun; Exploded view:
Before starting to use Atlantis GT, I completely disassembled it to get to know it better, to be able to better describe it, and to wash it before using it. The pieces that make up this Tank are firmly joined together with tenacious joints and sliding threads. In the package there are many spare o-rings, all of them are of very good quality and make Atlantis GT airtight and durable over time.



► Aspire Atlantis GT Taifun; Drip Tip 510:
The Drip Tip in POM has a tapered shape for the lips that I like very much, and even if it is not equipped with o-rings it is anchored very firmly to the top cap. I have inserted other 510 Drip Tips in the Cap equipped with 1 or 2 o-rings without problems, however I think that the original POM Drip Tip is the best choice also because its large φ7mm internal hole guarantees the correct evacuation of the vapor for vaping modes RDL/DL .



► Aspire Atlantis GT Taifun; Steel Armor:
The protective metal cover is reliable and elegant, it can not only effectively protect the inner glass tube from damage, but also offers you the possibility to extract it by simply unscrewing it from the upper one-piece and from the AFC base inferior. So in case of breakage you can replace the pyrex glass tube with the PSU tube provided as a spare. By installing PSU-tube inside the armor you will probably also be able to go into battle and your Atlantis GT Taifun will be resistant to any impact!



► Aspire Atlantis GT Taifun; Air Flow System:
This clearomizer uses a lower rotating ring to regulate the airflow, there are 4 slots in the ring; during the rotation of the ring, the 4 slots can completely close the air flow or they can open a hole or two holes on the 4 sides of the tank to distribute the incoming air flow towards the coil evenly.



The AFC adjustment ring can be separated from the base and has some external ornamentation for better finger grip on it. In the image below, the ring hides some important innovations. You can see the 4 buttonholes that I marked with 4 white lines, you can also see the 3 green lines that I created and which indicate 3 small blind holes inside the ring (the 3 holes I marked with the letters A,B,C) . When the ring is installed, during its rotation the blind holes coincide with two ball bearings (visible in the adjacent photo). In position "A" the air flow is completely closed, in position "B" the air flow passes through 1 hole in each of the 4 slots (RDL), while in position "C" the air flow passes through 2 holes in each of the 4 slots (DL). During use this AFC adjustment system with its very fine mechanism offers the same sensation of a precision gear and with each click there is a loud click which is divine feedback to my ears!



In the image below; you can see the bottom of the base with the 510 thread and peek insulated gold plated pin. The perimeter of the base has two opposing notches that allow the 2 pointed wings of the ring (when installed) to move correctly during the air flow regulation phase.



► Aspire Atlantis GT Taifun; Internal Air Intake Base:
Taifun on behalf of Aspire designed the Atlantis GT to provide a highly personalized vaping experience, the airflow can be adjusted by the bottom AFC ring (as we have seen), and especially with the two internal flow intake bases that are replaceable. These Air-bases with their different vents allow you to further customize the airflow to best meet the most varied vaping needs. Below you can see the two Air intake base contained in the package; the one with the φ1.2mm holes is recommended in combination with the 0.3Ω (30-40W) Atlantis SE Coil, the one with the φ1.5mm holes is recommended in combination with the 0.18Ω (45-60W) Atlantis SE Coil ). There is a third Air-base with φ1.0mm holes which can be purchased separately and used (recommended by Aspire) with the 0.35Ω (20-30W) Atlantis SE Coil.



You can replace the internal Air-Base at any time and even in the presence of e-liquid in the Tank. To do this, simply turn the Atlantis GT Taifun upside down and proceed as follows:
• Unscrew the external base from the tank
• Disconnect the internal Air Base and push the coil out, only replacing the coil
• Or disconnect the internal Air Base and replace it with the new Air Base with the coil already inserted
• Install the internal Air Base complete with coil, taking care to insert it with the protrusion inside the opening (as shown in the image below)
• Retighten; and the replacement is done.



► Aspire Atlantis GT Taifun; Vaping Test & Final Conclusions:

• Coil Atlantis SE 0.3Ω Range 30-40W:
This is the coil pre-installed together with the φ1,2mm Air-Base; for this test I used TOB Hypnos diluted 10% in a 50:50 VG/PG base with 3mg/ml of boost.
Like all Mesh coils, activation and vaporization are immediate even below the recommended power range. After selecting 30W of power I started a long vape session with a single hole open in the 4 slots. The vapor is abundant but above all hot as I like it with a sustained hit in the throat, what surprised me is the incredible aromatic yield that this coil provides, immediately without strange flavors and without the need for running-in. The flavor is enveloping and Hypnos which is one of my favorite liquids here has literally bewitched me, I can't tear myself away. Then I remembered that I had to proceed with the test so I switched to 35 and 40W, the increase in power and heat of the steam forced me to open the two holes for each slot, in this way (increasing the air flow ) I lowered the heat for deeper but equally immersive RDL/DL extractions.

• Coil Atlantis SE 0.18Ω Range 45-60W:
This is the spare coil supplied together with the φ1,5mm Air-Base; for this test I used TOB Tropical diluted 10% in a 70:30 VG/PG base with 2mg/ml of boost. Also in this case the Mesh coil has a very rapid activation and with 45W of power I started a pure vape immediately and without the taste of new cotton. With a single hole selected in the 4 slots the steam is quite hot with a strong hit in the throat at the limit of endurance, I had to open the two holes in the 4 slots and the performance improved instantly. With the right supply of air to the coil the clouds have become dense and abundant with an excellent flavor in line with the previous coil. With 50W of power I achieved the best personal gratification. By selecting powers above 50W the heat of the steam increases too much for my taste and the air flow (in my opinion) remains a bit too narrow based on the high power selected. If you like hot vapor and a really aggressive throat hit you can also select 60W of power and you won't be disappointed.



The Atlantis Tank series is therefore renewed, and it does so with a surprising product for the technology applied in its construction, high quality workmanships and great performance come together in this legendary vapemate. The airflow is widely adjustable from the bottom with 3 different types of internal Air-bases to be replaced based on the coils used. Atlantis Taifun Tank By Aspire is certainly the ideal choice for RDL-DL vapers who are looking for a beautiful and not gigantic vaporizer with great simplicity of use combined with the maximum RDL aromatic performance currently obtainable with a tank equipped with pre-assembled coils.
