Well, we come to the moment of Vaping Time, after assembling the coil that came in the contents of the box and wicking the RBA for the second time, I can give my conclusion about vaping.

After the problems caused, I must say that the RBA itself provides an incredible flavor, really very good. The air sensation is great too, if we close it partially it provides a very, very satisfactory RDL. However, I cannot ignore the problem it has given me with the pin and the detection of the coil, it is really frustrating.

I admit that the experience of the RBA in a Boro is infinitely superior to that of the RTA, because I did not find those problems with the airflow pin or anything like that, everything worked like silk.

The materials themselves of the RTA are very good, and in general it is very well built, but again, I cannot ignore that error. If someone else has it and has had the same or something similar, please comment on this post or write to me privately, I would be interested to know.

Hello and welcome back for yet another review. Today I’m here to cover the new Hellvape Dead Rabbit 3 RDA J Edition that was sent to me by Hellvape in order to provide you with a fair and honest review. The J Edition is a new collector’s edition in the Dead Rabbit 3 line of rdas. The J is a 24mm diameter dual coil rda that is mirror polished and comes with a very nice Ag+ drip tip as well as a spare PCTG drip tip. It has the same build deck as the original Dead Rabbit 3 RDA. It also has both slotted and honeycomb airflow available. I am a fan of the original DR3 RDA so am confident that this new collector’s edition will perform well.

SPECIFICATIONS:




INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the DR3 J Edition is what I’ve come to expect from Hellvape. They are pretty consistent on their packaging. The front of the box for the J is orange in color with the Hellvape name and logo, the name and color picture of the rda, a picture of the Joker, and Limited Edition in the upper right corner. The back of the box has some features listed, contents list, and Hellvape company information.




Once opened, the J Edition RDA is visible with the Ag+ tip installed and the spare 810 drip tip sitting to the side in the foam insert. Underneath that foam is where you find the allen wrenches, screwdriver, two cotton threads, two .37 ohm Ni80 coils, spare o rings and grub screws, and included squonk pin. The solid pin is pre-installed in the rda. I received the shiny purple and shiny stainless steel versions for my review.



As is the case with any new tank or rda, it’s a good idea to clean these with some warm and soapy water followed by a good rinse to eliminate any leftover machining oil or debris that might remain from the manufacturing process. As you can see in the picture below, there are symbols around the base of the drip tip indicating the different suits of playing cards which ties back to the Joker name. The top cap has a single o ring on it and there are both slotted and honeycomb airflow holes available for your preference. There are indentations around the top of the cap to make it a little easier for turning to adjust the airflow. In the second picture below you can see that the joker face is on one side of the rda with the Dead Rabbit symbol on the opposite side.





The build deck is the classic Dead Rabbit 3 design that we’ve seen before and love. It’s nice how the coil legs can be trimmed after installing the coils. The deck comes with four flat head grub screws installed and as you would think, there’s plenty of room for building with ease. The build deck has indentations one on each side that allows the outer chamber to lock down in place while the inner chamber rotates to expose either slotted or honeycomb holes. The base of the deck has two good sized o rings to hold the outer chamber in place and also preventing any leaking. In the second picture below you can see the bottom side of the deck that has writing on the outside edge and a second ring with the playing card suits once again tying into the Joker theme. The inner circle has the Hellvape name and the Joker face.







The J Edition doesn’t come with a coil cutting guide like many of the Hellvape tanks do but after thinking about it, it made sense since the coils are easily trimmed after installation on this style of build deck. I did however grab one of my many coil cutting guides and pre-cut my coil legs to 5mm. In my mind that was my way of more easily installing the two coils so that they came out close to the same height. Another way would be to just install the coils and holding the chamber up to it so the coils are centered on the air inlet holes. A nice final tie in to the Joker theme is that the four playing card suits are also on the inside of the deck in each of the four corners as you can see in the deck picture below.





After a good dry burn, the coils can be wicked. I was able to use one of the cotton threads to wick both coils which leaves a second included thread for replacement wicking. I did a very slight comb out of the wick tails but it’s really not necessary as there is plenty of room in the deck for wicks. I fully saturated the wicks and coil before remembering that I wanted to switch out the plated 510 center pin and install the squonk pin since I had already set up a squonk mod to test the rdas. Therefore my hands got a little messy but not too bad. The squonk pin was easily installed with the included allen wrench.







FINAL THOUGHTS:

I’m honestly not surprised at all that I enjoyed testing the new Hellvape Dead Rabbit 3 RDA J Edition as it makes use of the same build deck as previous versions of the Dead Rabbit 3. From the nice Ag+ drip tip to the mirror finish of the outer chamber this one is a real looker. I really love not only the Dead Rabbit symbol on the outer chamber but the Joker face on the opposite side is simply fantastic. Having the option of slotted or honeycomb airflow is a plus for sure. I personally prefer the honeycomb style of airflow. I very much like also how Hellvape used their attention to detail to tie in the Joker theme by incorporating the playing card suits throughout the entire design of the rda. On top of all of that, the flavor production is simply fantastic in my opinion.

Kumiho, a brand distributed by the online store HealthCabin, returns with its extensive series of pod mods named Thoth. HealthCabin itself has kindly provided me with the pod in question, the Thoth G, free of charge in order to review it. I do not receive any money from the links I share.

The Kumiho Thoth G is packaged in a cardboard box with a transparent window, highlighting its key features, while the brand's social media links are listed on the side. On the back, there's a scratch & scan section for authenticity verification, along with additional contact details for Kumiho and the indicated color variant of the Thoth G.



Inside the box, you'll find the Thoth G, a 0.6-ohm pod cartridge (integrated pod and coil structure), and the user manual.



The 2 ml pod is the first component you'll interact with, featuring an integrated coil (cartridge), but it’s also compatible with replaceable coils (you discard the coil and keep the "tank/pod"). Made of PCTG, a tasteless and pleasant material to use, it has a slightly glossy finish despite the matte gray color, which makes it easier to monitor the liquid level.



This rubber gasket is not permanently fixed, so even the part that remains attached to the pod can be completely removed, making it easier to clean pods with replaceable coils. The connection to the Thoth G body is secured by strong magnets, while the gold-plated pins ensure stable readings.



The Thoth family offers a wide range of cartridge and pod + coil (separate) options, though all feature a mesh section inside that enables vaporization. The impedance and wattage range are the same across all:

1.2Ω ⎯ 10W ~ 12W
1.0Ω ⎯ 12W ~ 15W
0.8Ω ⎯ 16W ~ 20W
0.6Ω ⎯ 20W ~ 25W
0.4Ω ⎯ 25W ~ 35W

There is also the option to purchase "empty" pods in different colors, such as the clear version or the hybrid version with a clear body and black drip tip.



The pod you choose to use, in this case, the 0.6-ohm cartridge included in the package, is installed into the Thoth G body thanks to the magnets we saw earlier. Despite the layout, the pod can be inserted on either side since the pins are centered with the automatic draw sensor, which always functions. I’m not sure if it’s intentional, but there’s about half a millimeter of play when inserting the pod, a detail that actually helps prevent too much condensation. During my usage, I’ve never encountered any, but it's always good to check daily. I should also mention that I vape with zero nicotine and take very short puffs.



On the front side, the 0.42-inch OLED display hints at the presence of a circuit. The display gives the impression of being much larger than it actually is, thanks to the black frame surrounding it, with the Thoth logo engraved in white. Just below, another frame features a sticker that, depending on how it's hit by the light, reveals a carbon fiber-like pattern, even though it feels perfectly smooth to the touch. The body finish, despite being aluminum, closely resembles highly polished brushed steel. The button, on the other hand, is diamond-shaped with a chrome finish for all color variations.



The Kumiho Thoth G is equipped with a built-in 900 mAh battery and supports fast charging via a USB Type-C port. The task of obtaining the cable is left to the end user, as it is not included in the package. Charging time is around one hour if the battery is fully drained, as the maximum supported charging current is 1.2 A.



On the "top" side of the Kumiho Thoth G, there’s a slider that allows you to adjust the airflow. This feature has been seen with other manufacturers but is no less effective for that. The slider, with a stainless steel-like finish and a small notch, lets you adjust the three airflow holes. It’s firm enough to prevent accidental movement. The draw mode ranges from a tight MTL to a very open MTL, without crossing into RDL vaping, even though it’s compatible with the 0.4-ohm pod, which requires just a bit more airflow.



The home screen, despite the small display, provides various basic information such as the selected wattage, a 5-digit puff counter, the coil's resistance in ohms, and whether the Thoth G is in lock mode.

Circuit operation:

- 3 clicks to unlock wattage settings and modify them.
- 5 clicks to unlock the selection and choose between:
- Power off
- Reset puff counter
- Lock the fire button

The two firing modes, button-activated or draw-activated, are always active simultaneously. The Lock disables the fire button activation, while the automatic draw activation remains active. To confirm the wattage or reset the puff counter, the fire button must be held for a few seconds. For wattage selection, holding the fire button speeds up the wattage adjustment. To confirm the wattage, either wait two or three seconds without doing anything, remove the pod from the slot, or take a puff using the automatic draw.



How does the Thoth G perform? With its 900 mAh battery, depending on the type of pod you choose, it can last from 1 to 2 hours, or up to half the day. Aromatically, after trying the entire line of Thoth cartridges last September, when I tested the Thoth S, I particularly appreciate the MTL ones (1.2Ω and 1.0Ω), often using both at 10 watts.
With pods leaning more towards RDL vaping, it's important to open up the airflow completely to avoid losing aromatic definition. You'll get more vapor and a more intense flavor, but it will also increase e-liquid consumption.
These are well-made cartridges, and by using a few watts less than the stated range, the flavor doesn’t change, and the pod’s performance is always optimal, providing rich, smooth puffs even when taken close together. I also remember the advantage of the Thoth line: the pods and cartridges are compatible across different models. For example, if the Thoth G is out of battery, you can simply remove the pod and transfer it directly to the Thoth S's battery body while the G is charging. This way, you don’t need to buy multiple sets of coils, avoiding confusion when varying the form factor.
