Hello and welcome back. It’s been a little while but I’m here with you again to present a review for Sourcemore. I’ve been waiting for this one to come in stock so I’m really excited to cover the Vandy Vape Nova AIO Kit that was sent to me by Sourcemore in order to provide you with a fair and honest review. It uses a single 18650 battery with a maximum output of 60 watts. It adopts VDP 2.0 to deliver consistent power. It has a .42” OLE screen and makes use of different airflow pipes and drip tips. This reminds me of another Vandy Vape product I reviewed that used similar airflow pipes. The RBA has a 6ml capacity and uses an easy side refilling system.

The packaging for the Nova is simple but sharp. The front has the Nova name in large white font with a black background and a silver symbol. The back side of the box has the standard contents list, a warning, and a list of features.

Once opened, the Nova AIO can be seen with the Nova rba pre-installed. The Nova rba has the 3.0mm airflow pin installed and the medium sized drip tip airflow tube. The kit includes three different drip tip airflow tubes and a total of four rba airflow pins. The spare tubes and pins are in the foam insert next to the Nova. Also included is a USB-C charge cable, user manual, and an accessory bag which includes some o rings, an allen wrench for the build deck screws, and a coin shaped token that can be used to tighten the boro nut by inserting it into the slot cut into the attached tube in which the drip tip airflow inserts are dropped into.

I was pleasantly surprised by how small the Nova AIO is. I thought at first that I didn’t like the placement of the fire button and thought it would be awkward but thanks to the size of the Nova, the fire button is easily pressed with my ring finger when holding it with the open battery part in the palm of my hand. The Nova is a fair bit smaller than the Pulse V2.

One side of the Nova has the Nova name and symbol printed on it. As you can see below, the battery is exposed on the Nova. I have mixed emotions about exposed battery mods. It kind of looks cool and can let the user show off any custom battery wraps that they might have but on the other hand, the battery could possibly be damaged. The battery is a little recessed on the Nova and the upper and lower guards do add some protection. The opposite side of the Nova is where the fire button is located and you can see that the rba is actually filled from the side on this one. The rba sits in the mod with the wider side of the rba tank toward the front of the mod instead of the side like I’ve seen on most boro mods. This is an interesting change. You might notice that there is a small cut out underneath the black frame that is around the fire button. This frame can be removed for customization. The black frame on the front of the mod can also be removed and changed. Also take note that the plated center pin in the mod that makes contact with the bottom of the rba is slotted and is adjustable to help make the best possible connection.

The battery polarity is clearly marked with a large red + when you look down into the bottom of the battery opening. The Nova makes use of a single 18650 battery. The threaded top cap that holds the battery in place does not have a polarity marking on it.

The display for the Nova is very small. I simply shows the set wattage, coil resistance, and battery level indicator. The + and – adjustment buttons are located on the bottom of the mod. The Nova can be used in either VW or VV. It doesn’t offer temperature control. The USB-C charging port is also located on the bottom. The button operation for the Nova is as follows.

• Press the fire button 5X to turn the device on/off
• Press the fire button 3X and then the + or – button to switch modes between VW and VV
• Press the fire button 4X to lock/unlock the device
• Press the + and – buttons to turn the display on/off
• Press the + and – buttons twice to re-read the pod resistance

The drip tip for the Nova is much like we’ve seen before from Vandy Vape. It is made of a boro nut with a hollow tube sticking up, an airflow pipe, and an outer mouthpiece. The kit comes with three different sized airflow pipes. The medium sized pipe is pre-installed.

I have this CBOT Lite which up until now has been working fine other than reading ohms off by +0.2 and now it reads the ohms totally wrong (reading ohm at 5/9 ohms when it is a 0.5 coil) and thus the chipset doesn't let me fire.

I have tried cleaning the part above with contact cleaner but it does not get rid of some of the grime. I think juice has leaked into the electronics by the previous owner (bought this 2nd hand)

Any recommended way to clean it off without soldering the wires off?

I tried another fruity speciality from the Crescendo range, which brings notes of sweet and juicy grapes. Of course, this time the intense coolness that is one of the hallmarks of the range's products was not lost. This time I tested it with an MTL tank, as I wanted to see how the taste and experience would hold up in a smaller atomizer.

The aroma is extremely pleasant, balanced with spicy and fruity sweet notes, which definitely reminds me of the smell of fresh, juicy grapes. I was fully convinced that I was going to be dealing with a really juicy red grape flavour.
Since I chose MTL tank, the cooling effect was not as strong as with Dl, it was more subdued. Instead of an intense, refreshing sensation, I got a softer cool sensation, but there was no change in flavour. The flavours remained as rich and powerful as we've come to expect from the rest of the range, so the fruity and spicy notes were still at their best. A strong sweet fruit flavour dominates during the steaming, which defines the experience throughout. The grape flavours are very authentic and seem really juicy, but the sweetness is a bit overpowering for me. It has the characteristic taste of the sweetener, which unfortunately overpowers the fresh and natural flavour of the grapes. I know that some people prefer sweeter and some prefer less sweet flavours, but before buying, it's worth bearing in mind that this product represents a decidedly sweet fruit, which is already stated in the description . Despite this subjective opinion, it still brings the flavours typical of the range, is richly infused with spicy notes of the fruit and provides an excellent experience both MTL and DL.

Ladybug - Daft Pink

The subject of today's test is Ladybug's "Daft Pink", which promises to combine the unique flavours of cheesecake, mangosteen and strawberry. The French manufacturer recommends a 15% dilution of 50PG/50VG, which is a very reasonable amount considering the price of €5. The product tested came in a 10ml pack and I purchased it from the French webshop taklope.
First impressions
Upon opening the bottle, I was greeted by a sweet, sourish scent, but it was difficult to associate it with specific fruits. Probably because I had never tasted mangosteen before. Upon investigation, it turned out to be a tropical fruit, balanced between sweet and refreshingly tart, with notes of citrus. This explains the underlying aroma, dominated by mangosteen.

Test settings
The test was conducted in a DL RTA tank, single coil setup, 0.55 ohm resistance, 22 watts.

Taste experience
The first hit was immediately surprising: the sweet-sour taste of mangosteen burst out intensely, like biting into a freshly sliced fruit. The mellow sweetness and tart freshness of the mangosteen is perfectly supported by the strawberry, which provides a quiet but dominant presence in the background. The creamy and dessert character of the cheesecake provides a unique and harmonious base. The flavour is sweet and sour, very fruity, while the cakey garnish gives the aroma a special elegance.

The sweetening is also good: not too sugary, but rather working with natural sweet notes, which is a big plus for me. I have tasted other Ladybug flavours before, but "Daft Pink" definitely stands out. The flavours are in complete harmony with each other and no off-flavours interfered with the experience.
Summary: Daft Pink flavour for me is the perfect transition between the fruity and dessert categories, similar to how Neo in The Matrix was caught between two worlds. I cannot clearly classify it in either genre, as it has characteristics of both. Its fresh fruity flavours and creamy cakey notes make it at once unique, exciting and balanced. A creation that can be recommended to lovers of both flavours.
