I don't know or much care why but I am sure that the ohm reading of my Vivi Nova coil was higher when dirty than after I dry burned it. I checked the reading several times before dry burning because the reading was unexpected. I also checked the ohms two or three times during the process of dry burning. The ohms kept going down. I quit dry burning when the ohms would not go down anymore.

I fully sympathize with the temptation to have a bit of fun. I'm a highly contented right-brainer but science theory spam arguments as a counter against observable results always make me giggle. They do tend to make a nearly irresistibly tempting target.
