► Vaporesso Target 200 iTank 2 Edition; First Impressions:
Vaporesso TARGET 200 Mod has been aesthetically updated with new materials but also with an updated firmware and a new Tank. The Kit adopts the new iTank 2 atomizer which uses the latest generation anti-leak GTX coils. Considering that it is a device with dual 18650 external batteries I find the Mod to be incredibly ergonomic and compact. Vaporesso claims that the Target 200 Mod is approximately 16% smaller than competing dual battery devices.



The generous shape of the bottom of the Mod contributes greatly to keeping the device firmly in a vertical position even during charging. The opening door in conjunction with the mod ensures correct safety venting in the event of battery malfunction.



The opening system on the bottom is a slide and the closure is interlocking. A simple and effective system. You can insert two 18650 cells following the polarity indications on the inside of the door.



Three torx screws hold the Cup to the Mod. The 510 pin is spring loaded and is gold/plated. The TARGET 200 steel cup is raised and has a diameter of 25mm, this allows the use of several medium/large aftermarket tanks without causing scratches on the mod or unsightly protrusions.



I received the "Navy Blue" color version for this test. The side panels have been enriched with soft eco-leather cushions. The leather material has been applied to make the product more durable for outdoor use and at the same time more comfortable in the user's hands.



The frame of the mod is made of zinc alloy. The rear part houses a central metal bar bearing the writing "Vaporesso" arranged vertically, at the top there is a T6 screw. The handle is rather comfortable because from a rounded lateral section you pass to a rear profile of very small dimensions for a Dual Battery Mod. All this aids grip.



The front part of Target 200 is well connected and is almost entirely covered by a dark screen which includes 4 circular buttons.
The top button (the largest) is the Fire button. Below the display there are the Up/Down adjustment buttons + the (very convenient) "mode" button to quickly enter the menu. Below is the Type-C charging. The TFT screen layout uses many colors. The user interface with additional features is revamped and uses easy-to-read fonts. The display shows the following information; battery bar, set power, Wattage, Voltage, Bypass), power mode, Ohm, Volt, puff counter, last puff duration.
► Operation Guide:
• Turning on/off: 5 clicks on the Fire button
• Screen lock/unlock: Press the Fire button 3 times
• After connecting the Type-C cable to the Mod, the battery indicator indicates the percentage of charge and the remaining time
• Access to the menu is done by pressing and holding the "menu" button until the mode starts flashing, using the "+" and "-" adjustment buttons you can switch to other desired power modes, to confirm press the Fire button or wait 5 seconds
• To access the full settings, press the "menu" button 3 times, once inside, use the "+" and "-" adjustment buttons to adjust the various parameters. To confirm, press the menu button.

• Axon Chip Includes protections: Low/High Resistance, Overheating, Short Circuit, Overload/Overdischarge.

• F(t) mode
This mode automatically adjusts the best temperature, speed and heating time of the resistance. According to Vaporesso the F(t) mode adequately releases the flavors of the liquid and offers a perfectly balanced tasting experience consistently from the first puff.

• PUL (Pulse Mode)
It is a mode designed by Vaporesso to improve the vaping experience through constant voltage output. It is stated; an increase in flavor, a maximized perception of nicotine with a great Hit, and a vapor with a perfect and constant temperature.

• DIY mode
In this section it is possible to choose and set three power levels (VW): Soft, Normal, High. You can also set the VV supply from 0 to 9V, or the BP (Bypass) mode

• Smart function
The very useful Smart function reads the resistance of the coil you are using after being activated, automatically setting the power to an appropriate wattage.



► Vaporesso iTank 2 Edition;
The iTank-2 tank has been recently renewed and derives from the original iTank awarded by vaping360.com as the best Sub-Ohm atomizer of 2022.



Mainly I noticed the good construction quality of this tank which is solid and well finished and can be easily dismantled for cleaning. Included in this kit is a domed glass to increase the e-juice capacity from 4 to 8ml.



One of the main innovations of iTank-2 is represented by a new filling method which consists of a convenient button to press. The spring inside the mechanism forcefully snaps the top cap to the side. The engraving of a "red reference dot" in the Top-Cap indicates where the opening button is located. The filling port is protected by a silicone membrane to avoid leakage problems.



iTank-2 uses a two-way adjustable AFC system called "Turbo Airflow" which guarantees a large air flow but also good puff shrinkage. The rotating bezel of the AFC is equipped with rotation stops and is very well applied to the base. The base adopts a self-circulation system of the electronic liquid, in practice the internal conformation facilitates the recirculation of the condensate to vaporize it again, reducing the loss on the bottom. The base must be unscrewed and separated from the Tank to insert the GTi coils from the bottom.



► Vaporesso Mesh Coil GTi and vaping test:
Vaporesso supplies two coils from the new GTi range with this tank, both suitable for DL type vaping.
• 0.2Ω GTi Mesh Coil (60-75 W):
Using the Smart coil function, the Axon chipset sets the power of this resistor to 55W by default, therefore 5W below the recommended range (60-75W). Operation is very smooth even at 55W with a good activation speed. I found my sweet spot at 65W with AFC wide open! A coil beast that projects us into a world of dense clouds and excellent flavors. I was really impressed! However, I expected these excellent performances because I have always considered Vaporesso as the company capable of designing the best pre-packaged coils in the entire sector.

• 0.4Ω GTI Mesh Coil (50-60 W):
Using the Smart coil function, the Axon chipset sets the power of this resistor to 40W by default, therefore 10W below the recommended range (50-60W).
Compared to the previous one, this resistance provides a slightly narrower and less satisfying vape in terms of flavor. Also in this case the steam production is maximized. At 50W I found my "Best" in combination with an AFC opening of 3/4. In general, the 0.2Ω coil has an overall higher performance, as it should be. However, the 0.4Ω resistor allows for longer battery life.



► Vaporesso Target 200 iTank 2 Edition; Final conclusions:
I liked this entry-level kit, I didn't find any notable defects and it really has many advantages. The double 18650 battery guarantees considerable vaping autonomy. The protective design of the Target 200 frame was designed for outdoor use without fear of drops, mistreatment or accidental impacts. The comfortable form factor conveys a good feeling to the user. The cage structure of the Target 200 is really well made to keep the dimensions of this device as low as possible compared to the 2 external battery mods of the competition, furthermore the weight that is felt in the hand is really bearable. As the vaping market matures, products are becoming more and more similar to each other, and to beat the competition Vaporesso has invested heavily in the research and development of innovative modes such as the F(t) mode or the pulse mode direct current (which Vaporesso was the first to introduce). Hello all! I hope someone can help me here. I have an asmodus minikin v3s, an excellent mod, however I am running into a most frustrating issue. I did not set a password when I got it close to a year ago. 2 days ago I dropped it, and when I picked it up, glass intact, it asked me for a password, after flashing a warning that under 21's couldn't use it. And there I'm stuck. I cannot use it due to no password. I tried putting in U six times, using "asmodusasmodus" as suggested in an older discussion on this issue, and no luck. Returning to the long-lost box of @Ispy sir , a strawberry smoothie is the base, which according to the manufacturer is "Malaysian made" and "creamy milk, but above all with striking and fresh strawberry notes". Well, I hope this nice-sounding description is not just an attention-grabbing blurb that may disappoint you when steaming. Sniffing the aroma, the notes seem rather faint. A little strawberry, plus a tiny bit of milky, with a barely perceptible scent. Starting to steam it, I immediately ask myself: where are the "startling and fresh strawberry notes"? On inhalation, you can taste a strawberry flavour, mixed with creamy milk, which doesn't change after exhalation. The strawberries are not bad, quite fragrant all in all, but not sweetened at all, as if they had just been smuggled in. The milk is a bit creamy and tastes like boiled milk. I don't know how the Malays do it, but strawberry milkshake doesn't taste like that here. I would think the drink would be sweeter, creamier and fruitier, but what you get is a drier, fruitier smelling boiled milk with a side flavour aroma. This flavour could have been interesting and tasty, and it was very well thought out, but unfortunately the execution took the flavours in a different direction. So I didn't find anything in the product that I could later say would make a refreshing Malaysian strawberry smoothie one of my favourites.

Hello and welcome back for another review by yours truly. This time I will be doing my best to provide you with a fair, honest, and hopefully informative review on the new Hellvape Dead Rabbit Solo RTA that was sent to me by Hellvape. The DR Solo is 24mm at the base but angles out to 25.5mm. It has a liquid capacity of 2ml with the straight glass and 4ml with the included spare bubble glass. It makes use of a postless deck with four screws to allow the user to install a single coil despite which way it is wound. The DR Solo is a top airflow rta so you won’t have to worry about any leaking. Something that I don’t think I’ve seen on a Hellvape tank before is that the top cap is a push to open filling system. I’ll cover that a little more in depth later. For now let’s go ahead and see what’s included and look at some promotional images.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Dead Rabbit Solo is pretty much what I have come to expect from Hellvape after having reviewed for them for some time. The front of the box has a nice color picture of the rta but isn’t a picture of the same color as what is contained inside the box. I received the Blue and Gold versions for this review. There is a sticker on the front of each box that tells the actual color of the tank contained inside. The Hellvape and DR Solo names are of course on the front along with the Hellvape insignia. The back side of the box has a list of features, a contents list and company information.

Once opened then you can see the very nice appearance of the DR Solo tank. I’m not usually a fan of gold tanks but I really like it on this one. Of course blue is my favorite but that is the case with any tank. It comes with the straight glass pre-installed that limits the user to a liquid capacity of 2ml but fortunately includes a bubble glass that boosts the capacity to 4ml. Depending on the coil you install in the tank, it can really blow through that 4ml of liquid fairly quickly.

After having reviewed many Hellvape tanks and rda’s I was rather surprised by the limited amount of items that were included with the DR Solo. It of course comes with the tank, spare bubble glass, user manual, and an accessory bag with some o rings, a screwdriver, and some spare grub screws. There are not any coils or cotton included and many times Hellvape tanks come with a coil cutting guide. I am not sure why those items were not included in this package.

You might be tired of hearing this if you read my reviews but I like to remind people to disassemble a new tank and give it a good cleaning before using it for the first time just in case there is leftover machining oil or debris left in the tank. The DR Solo breaks down into six pieces including the 810 drip tip.

The top cap of the DR Solo is a push to open type top cap that I don’t ever recall seeing on another Hellvape tank but have seen it on some others. I do like this type of top fill cap design as long as it doesn’t slide open too easy and on the DR Solo is has a decent amount of tension so it does not come open accidentally. Where to push to open is clearly marked on the top cap so there is no guessing to it. In the third picture below you can also see that the top cap is threaded and can be fairly easily removed for cleaning. It is much easier to remove than a couple other tanks that I have used that have the same type of slide to fill design.

As I had mentioned earlier, the DR Solo comes with a straight glass pre-installed which only allows a 2ml liquid capacity which would be a nightmare to be constantly filling so I chose to go ahead and install the spare bubble glass on both units for testing. One side of the inner chamber has the Hellvape name visible on the top cap and the Hellvape Dead Rabbit logo on the main chamber. The opposite side of the chamber has the Dead Rabbit Solo name printed on it.

The inside of the chamber has fourteen honeycomb holes on each side to allow airflow to hit the sides of the coil as well as a large oval juice inlet on each side. In the second picture below you can see that the inner chamber area is reduced into a rectangular shape to match the shape of the build deck. If you pay attention to this then the base is easier to align and thread onto the chamber.

The build deck has four screws although being a single coil rta. This is to allow the user to more easily install the coil whether it is wound clockwise or counter clockwise. As I mentioned above, the deck is in a rectangular shape and aligns with the rectangular opening in the chamber. The grub screws are slotted head screws. I personally prefer an allen head type grub screw on decks like this to make it easier to fit the tool properly to tighten the coil in place. There are three oval openings in the top of the deck that allow some airflow to hit the bottom of the coil while the coil is also getting airflow from the sides through the honeycomb holes in the chamber. This is a top airflow tank so the airflow comes in through the two slotted holes on top and comes down to hit the coil from the side and underneath simultaneously.

For building the DR Solo decks I decided to use a couple coils that I commonly use since Hellvape didn’t include any coils or cotton with this tank. I put a .4 ohm Ni80 3mm coil in the blue tank and did a burn in on the coil. I chose to cut the coil at 5mm which seemed to work out pretty well for me. I found it very easy to insert the coil but just don’t love the little slotted head grub screws since they are so small I have difficulty seeing the heads to insert a screwdriver in the correct place. With this type of screw being used it would be better if the screw openings were a little deeper so when you try to insert the screw driver it would just be a matter of turning the screwdriver until it finds the slot. Or just use an allen head screw. The wick holes on the deck are very close to the coil so you don’t need to cut the cotton very long. On the deck for the blue one I cut the cotton even with the edge of the deck and gave the wick a slight comb out and trimmed the ends a little more before inserting them into the wick slots. I was a little worried that I had left too much cotton but this tank seems very forgiving on the wicking and it worked wonderfully with very good flavor production and no dry hits.

With the deck for the gold version, I used a .37 ohm Ni80 3mm coil. This time I decided to get more aggressive with the comb out on the wick to see if I got any flooding or gurgling. I didn’t. Just like the blue version, it worked very well and had very good flavor production. I used two very different liquids on the two tanks to see how it handled different types of flavors. On the blue version I used a guava green tea mix and the flavor production was very good and the guava came through very sharp. On the gold version I used a red velvet cake mix that was a bit heavy on the creams side and it also produced very good flavor and the red velvet nuances came out very nicely.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

As usual, it has been a real pleasure testing these two tanks from Hellvape. I feel like Hellvape makes very good quality tanks at an affordable price. The threading and build quality are always very good and they were on these also. I have bought tanks that cost 2-3 times as much as these and don’t perform any better.

I love how easy the build deck on these are to place the coil and wick while being very forgiving in my opinion on the wicking technique. Yes I’ve built and wicked a lot of tanks over the years but didn’t have to put any extra effort into the wicking on these. I’m sure at some point you could over stuff the wick slots if you didn’t comb out the wick at all or tried a larger coil with too much wick but for a 24mm rta, I think the 3mm size is a good fit. I didn’t try it but would think that a 2.5mm coil would work well also with little or no comb out on the wick.

I was a little surprised and also a little disappointed that the tanks didn’t come with the usual coils, cotton threads, and coil cutting guide like I have become used to seeing in almost all Hellvape tanks that I have reviewed in the past. I would guess that they are just trying to cut costs to keep the price of the tanks down but don’t know that for sure. I personally would rather pay a couple extra dollars to get the extra accessories.

I have been using vuse menthol for awhile now & recently bought a refillable vape because vuse prices are getting out of control. Does anyone know any E liquids that are similar to Vuse menthol? I have read that Vuse uses Halo liquids but I'm not sure if that is accurate & there are also numerous menthol flavors from Halo. Any suggestions?
