ZOVOO DRAGBAR R6000 AND R8000 review by hittman

Hello and welcome. I have in the past made it a personal policy that I don’t review disposables. That being said, I came home one day to find a package that I was unaware had been sent to me. Inside were four Zovoo Dragbar samples. If you are not familiar with Zovoo then I’ll say that they are a brand of Voopoo but only make disposables. I have reviewed for Voopoo for a long time and they are a pleasure to work with so I agreed to do this one time only review on disposables sent to me from them. I was sent two of each of the R6000 and the R8000. I was a little surprised that the Dragbar has a 1000mah battery and is rechargeable. Also I found it interesting that there was an airflow adjustment on them. In the past I have reviewed some pods with pre-filled pods and almost always the menthol is so strong that it hurts my throat. My initial thought was that these would be the same but I was pleasantly surprised. That’s probably enough for now and I’ll go ahead and show you some pictures and give some brief thoughts on these. I will try to keep it short since there are not a lot of features to discuss.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

To be honest, my very first initial thought was “why did someone send these to me?” I remembered that a couple other reviewers had already reviewed these and remembered from reading one that Zovoo I believe is a division of Voopoo. I thought that I’d go ahead and try them and see if someone from Zovoo or Voopoo contacts me. A rep from Zovoo did contact me and I voiced my thoughts on not wanting to review disposables but agreed to do a review just this one time.

Obviously they want the customer to know that they are related to Voopoo. The body of the device looks like a Drag pod mod and it even has the Drag name molded into the back. On the front is the Dragbar name along with the version or flavor name near the bottom.

Each Dragbar I received was packaged in a sealed plastic pouch that you simply tear open. These are about the size of a pod mod also. They aren’t small at all. Each unit comes with a rubber plug that seals the mouthpiece and a sticker on the bottom over the USB-C charging port. I thought it was unusual for a disposable to come with a charging port but it is needed so you can use up either the 16 or 18ml of liquid contained inside each one. The 630mah battery of the R8000 and the 1000mah battery of the R6000 aren’t going to provide enough battery life to allow you to use them up. I was also surprised that both models included a sliding airflow adjustment on the bottom of each unit. There is also a blue LED light on the bottom that illuminates when you take a puff or charge the unit.

upload_2022-7-11_15-28-38.png

upload_2022-7-11_15-28-51.png

I thought it was interesting that the R8000 is only 630mah and has a liquid capacity of 16ml while the R6000 has a 1000mah battery with a liquid capacity of 18ml. I normally associate a higher model number with a better or improved device. In this case the R8000 is an MTL device and you can get a tight MTL to a loose MTL with the airflow adjustment. Also the tip opening is smaller than the 6000. The 8000 has a 1.1 ohm coil while the 6000 has a .6 ohm coil. The 6000 has a higher liquid capacity and lower resistance coil with a larger tip opening to provide an RDL experience.

upload_2022-7-11_15-29-20.png

I received two each of the R6000 and R8000. After trying all four, I definitely liked the RDL vape of the R6000 better. I ran both with the airflow adjustments wide open. I kind of wish that there was a better description of the available flavors on their website. Some are obvious but others are not. I’ve never been that great at picking out individual flavors from an e liquid.

R8000

I tried the R8000 first that is labeled Pineapple Grapefruit. It is a bit sweeter than I am used to but not surprised as most commercial liquids have quite a bit of sweetener added. I actually kind of liked this one. The pineapple flavor was definitely there with the guava in the background and there was a slight cooling effect added like there was koolada in the mix. Not bad at all. This one was labeled as 50mg strength but I honestly didn’t notice it was stronger. I’m guessing they used salt nicotine in it.

The other R8000 I received was the Pineapple Coconut Rum. I know from past experience that I don’t like Coconut in real life or in vapes. However, I did try it for scientific purposes. If it hadn’t had the coconut in it I think I would have liked it. This one was also labeled 50mg strength.

R6000

The R6000 versions were my favorite. They offer a nice RDL vape and I liked the flavors of both of them. One is labeled as Little Green Man. I didn’t see that on the website anywhere. It seemed to me to be a nice fruit medley with a hint of banana in the background. It was labeled as 3mg strength.

Next up was the Rainbow Bear. I assume it was supposed to be similar to a fruity gummy bear taste. I did get the fruit flavors from it and a slight gummy texture in the vapor. It was also labeled as 3mg strength. Both of the R6000 also had some koolada or something added.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the Zovoo Dragbars that I received for this review. That being said, don’t look for me to start reviewing a bunch of disposables.

I can see where these would be really good for someone trying to quit smoking or for someone who needed something for a day trip. They seem to last a long time. Can you really get 6000 or 8000 puffs from them? I really don’t know. I’ve been running three of them a fair amount and haven’t run out of any of them yet. The flavor production seems to have stayed pretty consistent throughout my time testing them.

It is nice that for a disposable that they have added features like recharging, airflow control, and an LED light on the bottom. They appear to be modeled after the Voopoo Drag pod mods even though they appear to be one piece of molded plastic. They are very lightweight but not small. If you had a pocket big enough to carry a pod mod then these would be a lightweight option.

I’d like to thank Zovoo for sending the Dragbar samples for this review even though I was not asked to review them prior to receiving them. As always, thanks to you the readers. Below is a link to their website.

Recommended Batteries tables have been updated

I have updated the Recommended Batteries tables.
  • There are other good batteries, too many to include.
  • If the batteries you use are not in these tables that does not mean they are bad! Use any battery you want.
  • These are merely my personal recommendations to help you narrow down which batteries to try.
  • Molicels are my choice for “best” for many uses because they are great performing batteries available with recent manufacturing dates. I have not been paid or compensated in any way to say this.
  • Molicels are a little larger than others though so take that into account.
  • These tables only list batteries based on their performance. I have not tested their cycle life.
  • Privately branded batteries (Imren, Efest, Vapcell, etc.) that were tested more than a few months ago are not included as they might have changed what cells they are wrapping. This includes other size batteries like 26650, 18350, etc.
  • For many batteries the differences between them are small and might not be noticeable. Check the Ratings/Performance tables for details.

Buy Hellvape Helheim S30 RDTA features a column-free deck with a double coil construction platform, and the advantage of having two coils is that it evaporates the vapor better and produces a satisfying enough flavor.

FreeMaX Marvos X 100W Pod Kit | Reviews by Z-Lee

FreeMaX Marvos X Pod Kit
Full Spectrum Vaping

EGYAslW.png

Welcome back for another Z-Lee review. Today we'll be taking a look at the newly released FreeMaX Marvos X which is the latest iteration of the Marvos Pod series consisting of the Marvos T, Marvos 60W, Marvos 80W, and the Marvos S 60W. All of these pod systems use FreeMaX's MS-series coils and are all cross-compatible with one another - even the new CRC Pod that comes with the Marvos X can be used on any of the previous Marvos Pod Mods. Similarly, the new MS CoilTech 5.0 (Double-D) coils found in the Marvos X also work in this way. I absolutely love when companies stick with compatibility parameters so that their products can be used interchangeably.

We'll be taking a bit of a different approach with today's review because there are so pictures to be added to show the UI color functions and options. We'll be going into everything with just as much depth as before, but will be giving you a more brief intro with much of the information that can be found on FreeMaX's website. Besides, I think their website has a much better presentation than the still photos you'll find in this review. You'll be able to access an interactive display showing the 10 different lighting modes of the Marvos X visually which I can only describe to you in words, and you can also check out their RBG UI color sampler which has over 16.5 million different options. I think you'll be able to find a color that works for you.

8JXaZyt.png

I want to thank @Freemax_Jerry for reaching out to do this review. It's a tad bit overdue, but you can be assured that I put this kit through it's paces. As always, I'll remain as unbias and objective as I can while also adding subjective opinions and thoughts throughout. If you have any questions or comments about this kit such as "Why are your reviews so long?" or what have you, feel free to leave a response or PM me.

Alright, let's dig in!

I Quit Vaping after Nine Years

Hey just wanted to stop by here and share my experiences vaping and now that I've quit for those of you wondering just how bad vaping is for the body and how I've felt since I quit. I started vaping back when it all first started to kinda hit mainstream in 2012. I started with crappy pen vapes like the eGo from Joytech that would leak all over my pants/shorts and always gave crappy hits. Like everyone else I eventually graduated to full-on mods and building my coils myself etc. From the day I started, I was a pretty heavy vaper. I worked from home (even back then) and could basically vape all day. And I did. Quitting smoking to vape had positive changes immediately. I stopped wheezing and I snored far less at night. However, I noticed that, even years later, I would tire out rather quickly when exercising. My blood/oxygen levels were always fine when I went to the doctor, but while exercising my lungs struggled to replenish oxygen to my muscles.

Fast forward almost a decade and I had become tired of the hassle of vaping. Building coils, charging batteries, hauling it around with me. I got sick of it. It had also become a pain to find/buy the fluids that I had been using for years. Saints Vapors went out of business and they created my daily driver. Other favorites went out of business or could only afford to produce one flavor. I just got sick of it and started buying zero nicotine of whatever I could find. I did that for a month or two and woke up one day with no fluid and just decided to not buy any more. That was it. I quit.

It's now been six months since I quit. I used to drink a can of Red Bull every day and people told me that when I quit I would feel much better. I did and felt no different at all. At first I thought quitting vaping was the same thing. I felt no different. I still don't feel much different, but what I've noticed as time has gone on is the stuff coming out of my lungs. The first two months it was nothing. I literally couldn't tell that I had quit. Then it started happening. Hacking up huge globs of what looks like clear jelly. I just hacked another one up five minutes ago (six months after quitting), which prompted me to write this. I'm still hacking it up all this time later. But what I've noticed is that my lungs are finally clearing and I'm able to exercise like I haven't been able to in decades without becoming exhausted or feeling like I'm going to pass out. Who knows what having that glycol in my lungs all this time will do to my lifespan, but it's pretty freaky hacking this stuff up so long after quitting.

So while I do think that vaping is probably healthier than smoking, it is not perfectly healthy to do. So I would try to quit if you can. I found the hardest thing to quit was the activity of vaping and not the nicotine. I hadn't had any nicotine for two months before I quit, but vaping had become a physical tick almost. I still get brain "pings" to vape when I do certain things, but they have definitely waned over time. I will never vape or smoke again and I'm glad I finally broke the chain. Good luck!

Freemax Marvos X 100W kit - Review by Javichu

Salutations my fellow vaperinos from all around the globe.

Sunday morning here and it's time to review another product from my friends over at Freemax.

Today i will look at the baby sister of the Maxus Solo,do not despair the performance is the same, just called it baby sister because it is a tad smaller and only uses 18650 batteries.

If you're familiar with my reviews i do like to ease my way in by starting with some pictures that will give you a nice overall view of the device and it's capabilities.

Unboxing and first impressions:

Removed the wrap from the box and slid it open, yep everything there neatly packaged.
No need to go out shopping for nothing,it comes with everything you need to start vaping (assuming you have a 18650 battery at home).

Took everything out of the box and made sure everything was there, let us look at the mod/pod combo...hmm.
Gotta say i am not a fan of pod like devices, normally they make beautiful, gorgeous mods but on top they just slap an ugly plastic tank and it just messes up the whole look.
Lucky for me this is not the case, this looks like a proper tank and it goes well with the mod, kudos to Freemax for taking the time to make sure the mod and tank match in looks AND quality.

The mod/combo doesn't feel cheap, good and solid feel when holding it and when it come up to my ''grip'' test it didn't disappoint.

My patented, worldwide renown grip test is pretty straightforward, grip the device and squeeze it hard.
By doing this it gives me an idea of how well made the device is,i squeeze and pay good attention to any weird noises that may pop up...in this case happy to report i heard nothing.
No clicks, clacks, snips, snaps, clickity clacks or snippity snaps...nothing.

I got big hands so the Marvos X did seem a bit small in my hands but nevertheless it didn't feel odd when holding it.
I appreciate the fact that where the leather (pleather?¿) patch is,i got the green version), it didn't feel ''spongy'',just nice and firm.

Vaping time:

Knew the menu and LCD options of the Marvos X would require ample time to play around with so decided to prime the coil and let it sit for awhile soaking up the sweet nectar of the gods.
After a thorough wash and rinse of the pod i inserted the coil (0.15ohm MS-D mesh coil), insertion itself couldn't be simpler,no turns or twists or special markings you gotta follow, just push in and you're all set.

Let us power it up,insertion of the 18650 is pretty simple.
Just remove the leather covered panel which is well held up in place with some strong magnets and insert the battery, personally i prefer the slide in method but this also works.

Menu operation is quite simple:

Hold bot + and - together to lock the wattage
Little switch on the bottom with locks the mod altogether, similar to the lock on the Aegis but this is smaller and positioned in a different place

Three quick clicks of the fire button and voila!! you're in the menu, from here you can choose any of the 4 output modes (Power,Smart,VPC and Bypass) and fiddle around with the LCD options if you're into that.

Ok so like 25 minutes have gone by and I've played around with the menu long enough, need me some inhaling, time to rock'n'roll baby!!

Place pod on the Marvos X (no 510 thou, bit sad to be honest) and the ohm reading is exactly as stated on the coil,0.15 ohms.
0.15 ohm coil is rated at 60-80 watts so time to break the coil in,start low at 30 watts and keep going up.

Even thou this coil goes up to 80 watts i settled on a measly 48 watts with half the airflow closed down, that right there was my sweet spot.
We all vape differently so this might be a tad low for you,but at 48 watts is where i reached vaping Nirvana.

Used this coil for 5 days straight and not one problem or hiccup, decided to try out the 0.25 ohm coil (rated for 30-50 watts).

This coil also delivered in taste, flavor, hit and cloud production but then again what else can you expect from Freemax, when it comes to coils they do know their business and always deliver.

Wish it was a mod that could hold a 21700 battery,if you use the 0.25 ohm battery It's all ol but with the 0.15 ohm coil you will need to replace the 18650 battery quite often.
Not a deal breaker but a 21700 battery option would have been better.

One minor issue i encountered and not sure if it's an issue with the chip or its supposed to do this.

When firing the mod the change screen changes you see a graphic icon going in a circle, like a snake going around in circles,in the center of that you see the time the fire button is pressed.

Well after letting go of the fire button that screen ''freezes'' for about 3 seconds and then goes back to you regular screen where all the info is detailed.
Again not sure if this is designed to do so it is something wrong with the chip, not saying its a bad thing but it kinda bothered me.

Screen wise nothing to complain about,it's bright and it shows all the info you need but... well the ohms that are in the top right of the screen is hard to read, even with glasses and depending on the theme color you chose it might be impossible to read properly.

Then again it could an issue with my eye sight and my reading glasses,if that is the case then i need to get my eyes checked again.

Final comment is reserved for the LCD's.
These are a thing of beauty, once i looked around in the LCD menu and saw ''Tetris'' mode i knew i had to use this.
Tetris and Waterfall mode are my favorites, granted i don't use the LCD feature that much but they look beautiful and will light you up like when you see a Christmas tree.

Granted this is a feature that some might not use but at least if you're like me it is something you will be tempter to use even if it is sporadically.

I love using the LCDs of the Marvos X when driving at night or just in my room when I'm watching a movie or tv series.

Pros:

Solid, durable and well made mod+pod combo
Coils are excellent keeping in line with what Freemax has us use to
LCD lights look bright and beautiful
Able to lock the mod with just a slide lock

Cons:

Would have preferred if this mod could take a 21700 battery

On a personal note and this is a big con but just for me.
Due to my geographical location (Spain) it is an impossibility to acquire Freemax coils.
There is no vaping store (online or B&M shop) that has them,i could order them from some other country (China for example) but the delivery charges on top of the risk of getting overcharged by the Spanish post office makes it impossible for me to get them.

Would i recommend this device:

Answer to this question is a resounding YES!! but with a small caveat, you need to have the ability to procure them coils at a good price.
In my case each coil would be almost 8 bucks, and that is if it doesn't get stopped by the thieves at the Spanish Customs Postal Service,if they were stopped the price of each coil would probably be around the 10 dollar mark.

Most times just unflavored, but some times..

I do prefer not adding any flavors to my eliq., mainly because I'm just lazy and it's always been easier for me to not add steps that don't necessarily need to be added. I mean, I already have to measure out three 'ingredients' to get to the 'unflavored' point, and that's good enough for me. Most of the time..

I have recently created a 'flavor rack' of Blackberry Mojito, 7Leaves Ultimate, Oak Wood, and Connecticut Shade. I purchased these flavors from Bull City.

My 'flavor experiments' usually live in a 10ml bottle and I am sorta excited to experiment with the latter three tobacco flavors. The Blackberry Mojito gets singularly united with the 'unflavored base'.

Looking to pick up a nicer regulated squonk. Preferably one that uses xstar bottles or some other readily available replacement, or has a few gently used bottles included. Doesn't need to be in perfect condition but must function normally (obviously). Really interested in an Mkey 60 or a BMM, (if thats even possible these days) Located in the states.

Decimals? We don't need no stinkin' decimals!

This is kinda tasty. I have a 1% blackberry mojito thorn in my nic side occasionally, maybe that has something to do with it.. I'm a bit peeved that the carts have gone from $10 to now $15. I've seen the cost swing like this before though. The hardware here is an Evolv DNA60. I got it puttin' 52 watts or a bit more than 28 volts into a coil, or cup, readin' 155 ohms.

Cloudflare problems

Starting this morning I’ve had problems viewing threads with an iPhone, an iPad and a couple computers.

Cloudflare gets stuck in the “checking browser” loop. Sometimes it takes a few minutes and then I can get to a thread. Other times I can’t get to any thread at all.

It’s only with this website. Every other website is fine.

I am not running any browser plugins whatsoever. I’ve rebooted my router, same problem.

This problem did not exist last night.

Somewhere something changed.

I would just like everything to work, as it did.
