I collect Mechanical Tubes and rarely even some box, if it happens. Obviously I use and buy and treat all only and exclusively authentics, I hate clones and I don't want to see them even with binoculars.

Hey guys,

So I'm not new here or anything, been vaping since mid-2011 but I got a question.

In December of 2021, when it got real cold here in the DC area, I took the trash out one night to the dumpster where I live in shorts and a sweatshirt. When I woke up the next day, I had a dry cough/throat irritation. I figured it had to be related to me going out in the cold the night before in shorts. The irritation is in the upper/back of my throat where the back meets the downward part of your upper throat. It feels dry/scratchy all the time and I'm always having to cough. There is no chest congestion or anything like that, I know exactly where it's coming from.

I saw my ENT last month, he "scoped me" and said my throat "looks great!" He put me on a nasal spray, that didn't help, last week he put me on Z-Pak for a week (an antibiotic), that hasn't helped. Two months later I still have this annoying throat irritation in the back of my throat and I can't figure out why or how to get rid of it.

When I do vape, yes it does aggravate the irritation and makes me cough (sometimes). I was wondering if others here have issues with throat irritation and vaping? Like I said, I know when the problem started, so I don't think it's vaping related, but the vaping does seem to aggravate the issue.

I've recently purchased (Feb-2022) a few batteries from an Australian retailer that were listed as genuine Sony (Murata) 18650 VTC6 batteries. I've taken photos showing a side by side with another Sony 18650 VTC6 battery that I purchased elsewhere and I'm confident is genuine. The genuine battery here I've covered with an extra plastic wrap that is clear so please disregard this and be aware that's why there is extra glare/shine. I've inluded some pictures at the bottom from 18650batterystore.com and eu.nkon.nl for a comparison of what I assume genuine Sony (Murata) 18650 VTC6 batteries should look like.

The most notable features of these batteries I purchased, that appear to be fake are:
- Single ring near top whereas all genuine ones have two rings.
- QR code near top appears smaller on the fake batteries.
- RU (UL listing logo) side facing bottom of battery appears cut off.

Please note the batteries I have (that I'm confident are genuine) are the older Sony print dated 2015. Sony has now changed to Murata so I've checked the date codes and these batteries that appear fake are dated Jan-2020. To be sure that recent genuine Murata batteries still have the same two rings at the top like the old Sony design, I've included at the bottom batteries that appear genuine from 18650batterystore.com from the user uploaded photos. These have date codes from Oct-2020 and Dec-2020.

Please can you give me your feedback on if you too think these batteries shown with the single ring near the top are fake? They all test with approx 200mAh less than a slightly used Sony (Murata) 18650 which I bought about 5 years ago. Test was done with LittoKala Li-500 @ 1A charge & 500mA drain.

The genuine battery here has the button top and bottom protective circuit, therefore I can't show the what the top and bottom looks like without these so I've inluded some pictures at the bottom from lygte-info.dk for a comparison of what I assume all genuine Panasonic NCR18650 batteries should look like.

The most notable features of these batteries I purchases with the spot weld tabs, that appear to be fake are:
- Inset ring on base & dirt/grease where it should be flat & smooth
- No faint QR code near top (visible under the plastic wrap, printed on the can)
- No faint code near the bottom (visible under the plastic wrap, printed on the can)

Hello I recently bought the Z rda because it looks like a real kicker for flavor especially when squonking. However when I checked the little accessories bags there was no bf pin. How can that be in 2022?

I’ve emailed support and they want an invoice from the sale. Unfortunately I can’t find it. I even asked if they were available for purchase but I haven’t received an answer to that request.

it appears that many YouTube reviewers and forum members who bought the Z also didn’t come with a bf pin. And yet a couple of people are saying they actually did get the bf pin.

Is it possible that you could help me with this problem? Like I said I’m willing to purchase the bf pin if need be. Although I’m sure the cost to geekvape is pennies.

Typically I just get everything from Wizard Labs, but recently pretty much everything is out of stock. (Not their fault I imagine, shipping problems, people panic buying for the Vapeocalypse, etc)

The 2020 Cigarette Report of the Federal Trade Commission showed that cigarette sales in the United States reached the highest in two decades. The total number of cigarettes sold by major manufacturers rose 0.4 percent in 2020 to 203.7 billion units from 2019. It represented the first increase in cigarette sales in 20 years.

Ossowski said the persistent public health lobby against harm reduction or the use of less harmful alternatives and aversion to innovation were likely behind the increase in cigarette sales.

I started vaping in 2011. Most of you can't imagine how crappy the gear was back then. I was pretty active on here in those days. Anyway, I bought the latest thing for several years. I learned that for me that $200 mod or RBA didn't really vape any better than the Chinese clone that came out the next year for less than half the price. At least not enough better to be worth the price. Eventually I settled into a set of gear and juice and just quit looking.

First problem, I've been using a Nextgen clone for several years. I can't find them anymore. I can't believe it's gone and the AGA-T is still around. Is there anything like a Nextgen available anywhere?

I'm currently trying an Ulton Rook clone with a cotton wick. It's appears that silica wicks have gone by the wayside. That's a good thing. The clone is okay but, it has the same problems that atomizers like the AGA-T has. If you don't hold it right, it leaks when full.

I'm an MTL vaper and I'm looking for a 22mm RTA that doesn't leak. It needs to have at least 3ml capacity preferably more and if it's cotton wick, the cotton wick needs to be easy to change. I'm currently changing it daily in the Rook clone.

I've used different devices over the years on the bottom. Currently I'm using an Istick Pico. I run around .7 ohms resistance at around 12 watts though that varies. I'm a little leery of using mods with more than one battery. They used to overdrain one of the batts. Has that changed? Recommendations?

Lastly, FastTech has been my goto supplier for the last several years but, I suspect there are others in that vein. Any recommendations there?
