Time to check out this vaping apparatus which was sent to me by my friends over at Sourcemore for the purposes of the review.

Ok as usual with my review it is time to post some nice shiny pictures along with some basic information so you can get a quick grasp on the type of apparatus i am talking about.

Unboxing and first impressions:

Good packaging from Vaporesso,everything you need to start vaping is there and neatly packaged.

Time to hold the mod...hmm this thing is lightweight but it does not feel cheap or scrawny.
I assume my usual vaping grip and yeah it's good...i mean a tad smaller that i would like,for
my hands anyway,i got big hands so that is something i can't blame on Vaporesso.

More on the mod later on,i snatch the tank and oh boy does it feel good to have a proper tank in my hands instead of plastic like pod like i have been reviewing so much lately.

Vaping time:

Time to get this show on the road.

I love the feeling of the tank,nice and well made just like a tank should feel.
Prime the coil - GTi 0.2-ohm MESH coil (60-75W),easy to put in by the way,filled it up and let it soak up the sweet nectar of the gods.

At this stage and with drop in coil tanks i take this time to fumble around with the mod to see whats what.

This mod has a side cover for the battery,nice snug fit thanks to the magnets it has so no risk of the cover coming off.
Snug fit thou...not as much as putting the battery in but taking it out,if you are not careful and apply the appropriate pressure it will mess up your battery wraps when you remove the battery.
Honestly i am more of a fan of battery covers that you screw in or out,just slide the battery in and screw the cap and you're all done.
Anyway,battery is in and the mod is on and oh boy this is a light one,thin but long mod which is easy to carry around for your everyday vaping needs.

Nice colorful screen with a good size (0.96-inch TFT screen) and the menu operations are easy enough:

Hold the menu button to cycle through the three power modes.
Click the mode button three times to enter the menu.
Click the fire button five times to turn it on/off.
Click fire three times to lock the adjustment buttons.
Use up or down to adjust wattage.

P.S: No option to change colors on the screen thou,a bit of a bummer.

Ok enough time has gone by,coil properly soaked and moist so yeah baby let us try it out.
As usual i like to start low and just keep on incrementing the wattage slowly,just to properly break in the coil.

First time trying out this GTi coils and oh boy these are tasty with a flavorful and powerful cloud.

You folks know me,i am not into ''warm'' vapes,so after trying out different wattages i settled at 44 watts with the airflow half closed,that right there is daddy's sweet spot.

Since this mod uses the Axon chip it comes with F(t)mode and smart TC mode features but for a simple vaper like me i don't really use them,stick to wattage and I'm all set.

While vaping i gather my thoughts,Vaporesso’s AXON chip is performing well and there is nothing wrong with that but something is off...

Ok now i know what it is,the ''feeling'' the texture of the mod,just doesn't do it for.
I know i know this is a personal thing,other's might like it but me? nope just feels odd when I'm using it.
Performance wise nothing to object,it is a solid combo where both parts,tank and mod do their job.

Pros:

-Build quality is solid
-Screen is nice and bright
-Mod and tank feel well done,not at all flimsy or feeling ''cheap''
-510 connection looks well done

Cons:

-Battery removal...not good,not careful and you end up having to rewrap your battery
-Size wise it is not ''perfect'' for someone like me with big hands (personal con)
-The mod is a bit long and thin,again for me it doesn't feel right when holding it but then again that is a personal con.

Would i recommend this device:

As far as simple mods for new vapers or even veterans that want something ''portable'' yes i would recommend this kit.
I mean it marks all the boxes,sturdy mod,good proper tank and flavorful vape,just a couple of snags (specially the battery removal) that could be a deal breaker for some but otherwise this is a good kit.

► Smok Nfix Pro Pod Kit; First Impressions:
Smok releases so many products, often similar to each other that it is sometimes difficult to catalog the differences of what each of them can offer. At first glance, I thought the new NFix Pro had pretty much the same features as the original NFix, in fact they both have an LED screen and a single control button with adjustable power and 700mAh battery.

However, there are two significant updates on the NFix Pro which I guess somehow justify the name "PRO" ... Nfix Pro uses replaceable coils from the LP1 mesh range which are the same used by the Novo-4 Pod Mod, so these coils should to do a good job. Additionally, the NFix Pro has a adjustable AFC which offers better airflow control than the original Nfix and Nfix Mate.



The Smok Nfix Pro looks like a classic stick with a rather thin and manageable octagonal design. The Nfix Pro is built from aluminum so it's slightly heavier than equivalent plastic-built devices, but this makes it look better quality and it's also undoubtedly firmer and more robust than the average entry-level Pod Mods.





► Smok Nfix Pro Pod Kit; Operation Guide:
The NFix range falls into the category of pod systems that are easy to use but that offer something more than the more common and simple pod kits on the market. The device is equipped with a 0.69 ″ OLED display that shows the following settings (wattage, coil resistance, Puff counter, battery status). The pull is automatic and the only button under the screen is used only for the on-off and for the adjustment of the power parameters, which is adjustable between 5-25W.

• On / Off: Press the key 5 times
• Power setting: Press the button 3 times, the power flashes. Adjust the power from 5W to 25W by pressing the button once
• Puff Counter: The total number of puffs is reset each time the Mod is turned off and the counter automatically resets when it reaches 9999P.

► The meaning of the notifications on the screen is described below:
• BATTERY LOW: The battery voltage is less than 3.3V ± 0.1V before vaping; The battery voltage is less than 3.0V ± 0.1V when vaping.
(Please charge the device)
• Goodbye: The battery voltage is less than 3.1V ± 0.1V (charge the device)
• OHMS TOO LOW: The atomizer resistance is less than 0.6Ω ± 5%.
• OHMS TOO HIGH: The atomizer resistance is more than 3.0Ω ± 5%.
• NO ATOMIZER: The atomizer was not detected.
• ATOMIZER SHORT: A short circuit has been detected and the white LED indicator blinks 5 times.
• TIME OVER: The continuous activation time exceeds 8s.



► Smok Nfix Pro Pod Kit; AFC:
NFix Pro is also equipped on the back of the device with a simple sliding and adjustable airflow switch so that you can customize the MTL puff to your preferences.



► Smok Nfix Pro Pod Kit; Pod compartment and charging socket:
The cartridge coupling system in the device is of a simple interlocking type without magnets, however it is well made, the cartridge fits into the pressure mod and to extract it you need to pull firmly. On the bottom of the Pod compartment there are two gold-plated contacts for the electrical transfer to the coil and the automatic puff sensor.

The support base of Nfix Pro is not wide, however it is able to easily keep the device upright even during the charging phase. The built-in 700mAh battery can be charged via the supplied USB Type-C cable at a charge rate of 0.7A. Smok claims the Nfix Pro can fully charge in 70 minutes.



► Smok Nfix Pro Pod Kit; Refillable cartridge:
The dark colored PCTG Pod does not complicate the visualization of the internal liquid level and has a well designed and rather comfortable spout for the lips. It can contain up to 2ml of liquid, the refill is accessed by lifting the rubber cap which is placed on the side, on the cap there is an arrow that indicates the opening direction. Filling can also be done with classic bottles with "normal" tips as the hole on the cartridge is quite large and convenient.
Replaceable resistors are pushed in from below. The Coils have 2 flat sides that match the bottom of the pod. This means that the coil only goes a certain way so make sure you insert it correctly.



► Smok Nfix Pro Pod Kit; Replaceable Coils and Vaping Test:
Smok LP1 is the series of Meshed Coils recently launched on the Novo-4 device with the aim of promoting a leak-proof flavorful vaping experience! There are a total of three silicone o'rings on the top and bottom of the coils to effectively prevent leakage. In the Nfix Pro kit there are a 0.9Ω and a 1.2Ω, I tested them both with a 50/50 "crispy puft" e-liquid with 4mg / ml of boost.

The Nfix Pro's adjustable airflow is exactly what you need for a proper MTL vape. When the AFC is fully open the draw remains MTL without encroaching on the RDL, but can be reduced to a very restricted MTL draw. LP1 Meshed Coil MTL 0.9Ω is indicated by Smok to be used at constant 15W
which is a good level of potency to bring out the flavor of my Crispy Puft. The spare 1.2Ω LP1 Meshed Coil MTL has a range of use indicated by Smok between 10 and 15W and I honestly didn't notice a big difference between the two. The flavor is slightly less intense than the previous 0.9Ω coil, but if you like a fresher vape it's not bad. The flavor and hit of these coils seem even higher than in the previous Novo-4 device, and those pods were already very good. Another important aspect in the performance of this type of device for me is the accuracy and reliability of the automatic activation system of the puff. Nfix Pro has a well-calibrated automatic activation that works as it should, with no delays and with little suction effort.



► Smok Nfix Pro Pod Kit; Final conclusions:
Who is Nfix Pro suitable for? For all MTL Vapers who want a Pod system that is easy to use, sturdy and light to carry, yet offers good leak proof replaceable coils, and with the ability on the device to adjust both power and airflow.

Gunmetal. Includes original product box, authenticity card, bubble glass, straight glass, spares pack. Two drip tips. One is clear and came with it; the other is a smoked color that I don’t think came with it, but looks very nice with the tank. Used. The installed airflow diffuser has some damage (got a bit too enthusiastic when dry firing a coil) but still works fine. There is a spare, unused airflow diffuser in the spares kit.

EHPRO Kelpie - $15
Black. Comes with original product box, straight glass, bubble glass, spares pouch, a black drip tip (which I think, but am not positive came with it) and a red/black drip tip (didn’t come with it, but looks very nice). Used, good condition

Tigertek Springer S - $10
Rainbow. Comes with original product box, 2 straight glasses, spares kit. Single coil with an interesting deck where you push down on the posts rather than use screws. Used, good condition.

OBS Engine Nano – SOLD
Gold color. Includes original product box (missing some of the original foam padding, so I’ll add some of my own to keep it secure), 2 straight glasses, spares pouch. Single coil version of the OBS Engine. Used, good condition.

Arne here, 27 years old from The Netherlands!
I've been smoking for about 11 years and to keep it short i've been wanting to quit for a while but plain cold turkey wasn't my way. In the recent months i've been having some more shortness of breath and in combination with certain anxiety feelings it just made me feel restless. So now through a friend of mine giving me advice to give vaping a shot i started. I ordered a voopoo drag s pro and since yesterday have started on my vaping expierence and already i am smoking less (i'm a heavy smoker). Thanks out to @David_SXmini for sending this G Class v.2 out for review along with the previously reviewed SL Class v.2. I knew the SL was a slimmed down version, so I was SUPER excited to see what the G Class had in store for me. I believe the G Class was first introduced in 2016, so I think this updated version 2, was long in the making.

This G Class has a LOT of features, so I've tried to trim this review down as best I could, to give you guys an overview, with a lot of details, but without going TOO far into the weeds.

Before we dive into this masterpiece, I highlighted four features/specs above that REALLY caught my eye.
Temp Control with 0.0001 ohm accuracy, 2 dedicated CPU's, WIFI ready, and the ability to set a Battery Overload Notification based on your CDR.
WOW, you can ALREADY tell that this one, means business.

The packaging was almost identical to the SL Class ...



The SXmini Team also decided to encase the entire mod in wrap, JUST to make sure it arrived to me (and you) they way they intended it to ...



With that frustration free packaging out of the way ...



A USB-C charging cable, and documentation was included ....



Now, unlike the SL Class, the G Class included a QR code to download the manual for this one, and that was probably a GOOD idea, as it might have been a bit big for the box. Warranty card, and battery safety guide were in there too ....



Realizing that I took WELL over 200 photos of this one, I'll try to hold BACK. On the front, we've got the expected fire button, 5-way joystick, and USB-C charging port, along with a gorgeous 0.96" TFT Display.


A matte finish on the rear, with clean chrome trimming, and the SXmini logo (which CAN be adjusted, or turned off if needed)....


Stunning (IMO) side panels ......



A generous 30mm top plate that was centered, textured (yeah, they thought of that too), and with a nicely sprung 510 connection...



Rock solid bottom plate, BUT, no battery lid ??


Looking at the back side, you can barely see the two small indents ....



Which revealed two side battery lids ....


The metal lids were padded, and held in place by two VERY strong magnets ....



Each battery compartment was polarity marked, with a rip cord, and nicely snug spring loaded posts ....


Perfectly snug without any movement, and centered .....



David also included two extra ABS side panels, which were mirror images of the stock metal ones, only lighter ...


The backs of the ABS panels were not padded, but were clearly designed to hug the batteries ...



The side panels were TOO gorgeous to NOT get a better look at them ....

I have always some spare 18650 in drawer and I bought nitecore ums4 battery charger with adjustable cut-off voltage.

So what do you think about setting charger to 3.7v cut-off (intended to charge LiFePO4) with four discharged batteries in and charger prepare them for storage.
I can repeat this after few months to keep them in good condition without labouring too much.
Is this program somehow bad for Li-ion batteries (I'm charging at 500ma and charging current can be set between 300-2000ma) or it is good idea?

I'm not native english speaker so I hope my post is understandable.

I bought a Xtar VC8 on Mar 21 2022 and it died today May 15th. It wont turn on and smells burnt. My batteries thankfully are ok. Any ideas of what might have killed it? I really like it and it was supposed to be a good brand.
