Looking for a viva nova tank

I recently inherited a stockpile of BVC clearomizer replacement coils and they won't work in my nautilus mini tank (which is my "go to tank". Doing some research I see that they will work with a viva nova tank but can't seem to find any??? So does anyone know where I could get a viva? Or of another tank that is available that I might use for these coils??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ectoplasma by Nixteria (Formerly Juicy Vapor) Clone

Hey, was a couple of years ago since I have posted looking for insight in how to clone Ectoplasma. I forgot to reply but I am pretty sure someone else will be attempting to try getting the same flavor in the future. This is as close as I have gotten to replicating the exact flavor, if you've had Ectoplasma from them in the past, you won't be disappointed.

The recipe is set up for 70/30 VG/PG at 3mg of nicotine.

PG - 15 ml / 15.54 / 15%
VG- 67 ml / 84.49 grams / 67%
E. Cooler Drink (Flavorwest) - 3 ml / 3 grams / 3%
Lemon Lime (TFA) - 6 ml / 6 grams / 6%
Sweet and Tart (TFA) - 6 ml / 6 grams / 6 %
Nicotine 100mg (100% VG) - 3 ml / 3.78 grams / 3%

Zeus subohm flooding with 0.25 dualcoil

I’ve been using this tank for more than a year now and have never really had any issues, it’s been great. I’ve been using the 0.4 coils the whole time but my shop recently stopped selling them and is now just selling the 0.25 dual coils. Now it floods immediately, and pretty badly too like I can hear it bubbling and it spits a lot. Not sure if anyone has any suggestions on what to do/ if I’m doing something wrong? I have the Voopoo drag 2 and I set to 47w with the new coils

Hippovape B’adapt Pro SBS 100W Mod - Review

Hi ECF members, In this review I take a look at the B'adapt Pro SBS 100W Mod from Hippovape. The Hippovape B'adapt was supplied for the purpose of this review by Sourcemore.

Hippovape B'adapt Pro SBS 100W Box Mod

RiDZKE5.png

Introduction

Hippovape started off not on the best footing with many including me as releasing atomisers with faces that made them look like Minions is not the best move when there was a big debate around vaping brands trying to attract children! However more recently the "matured" Hippovape have released some interesting devices including the Papua and Kudos Squonk Mod which looks like a BF version of the highly rated Augvape Foxy One! Here, I take a look at their latest device which see's Hippovape enter the SBS market with this collaboration with VSS Project!

The B'adapt Pro gets it's name from being able to attach one of 2 different beauty accessories to slightly alter it's appearance. The device is a SBS which will accommodate either a 21700, 20700 or 18650 battery, however a 18650 adaptor isn't included! The B'adapt boasts Wattage, Voltage, Temperature and Bypass modes along with multiple safety protections, let's take a closer look!

1 x Type-C USB cable
2 x Beauty accessory
1 x User Manual
1 x Warranty Card

_________________________________________________________________________

Aesthetics and Ergonomics

The B'adapt comes nicely presented in sturdy cardboard packaging and on first handling I was surprised by how solid it felt, very thick plastic making it's weight more in line with a metal device rather than plastic which the main body is! With these plastic see-through devices I tend to find the Clear, Black and Amber look really good while colours like Red and Blue can look cheap but the B'adapt comes in 4 options that in my opinion all look good. We have a Tawny clear which is like a see through Black, Amber clear, Dark Wood (A dark wood effect for those that prefer a solid look) and finally the one I received the Reddish Brown which I chose because for me it's the pick!

It has a typical SBS design with rear exposed Stainless Steel battery tube and lower front 510 Stainless Steel plate. below the plate section on the face of the device we have the horizontally positioned navigational rocker which can also be pressed centrally for locking and unlocking the device, below the rocker is the 0.96" screen! We have a nicely machined circular side fire button then moving to the base etched branding, safety stamps and the Type C USB port!

It has a really nice ergonomic form factor but with it's side fire button that's not taken advantage of and did feel quite awkward to use until I got use to holding it between my fingers and thumb, not convinced the side is the best place to have the fire button from a comfort point of view!

The Beauty Accessories

You receive two different beauty accessories, one full sleeve and an upper angled attachment which I do like. Both fit really well via rear channels and bottom magnets with no movement but they do reduce the size of atomiser that can be fitted to 22mm in diameter. Although a 26mm atomiser would fit towards the front and to both sides the position of the battery tube only allows for a 24mm atomiser which for me is a con as many recent SBS devices have allowed for at least a 25mm!

XEHnHbS.jpg

As mentioned I do like the upper angled attachment and also like the look with no attachment installed but the full sleeve attachment really isn't much use! It completely blocks off the airflow and while it does have 3 very small airflow holes on the attachment you would need to be very lucky for it to line up with the atomiser airflow and even then would reduce any airflow using a cyclops design!

_________________________________________________________________________

Fitting The Battery

The B'adapt will accommodate either a 21700, 20700 or 18650 with an adaptor although one isn't included!

Of course being a side by side device one side is the battery tube, we have a threaded plate that screws down into the threading inside the tube for a tight fit, meaning no battery movement whatsoever. The marked orientation at the bottom of the tube is barely visible and we have no negative marking underneath the battery plate.

It can be a bit fiddly to get the threading to catch when screwing the battery plate in position to secure the battery which can take a few seconds or even longer sometimes (but only a few swear words passed my lips). Once it catches though it gets the job done even if the threading is a little crunchy!

ShZcLu2.jpg

_________________________________________________________________________

The Display

The B'adapt doesn't have a colour display however it does give plenty of information (in fact more info than most), is well laid out and everything can be easily read! Top left we have the internal temperature and then top right the battery status icon with the status given as a percentage, very good!

Below to the left we have P (for power), V (for voltage), T (for temperature) or B (for Bypass) depending which mode you are in. Further down centrally we have the resistance and then below we have the wattage, voltage or temperature again depending on what mode you are using!

The lower half of the screen lined up with a central orientation we first have Amps, followed by Voltage (watts in TC or Bypass), Time of vape and finally the puff count!

ifuX4Pe.jpg

_________________________________________________________________________

Operating The Device

The B'adapt is the usual 5 clicks of the fire button to turn on and 5 clicks to turn off, once on pressing the navigational rocker centrally locks just the navigational rocker, alternatively fire and right together locks the fire button. If you want to lock the whole device you first have to lock the fire button followed by the navigational rocker so all bases are covered!

3 clicks of the fire button brings up a list of modes which are Watts, Volts, Temp and Bypass, just scroll so the mode you require is highlighted and then press fire to select. When choosing temp it will then give you the choice of SS, NI, TI or TCR and then allow you to lock in the resistance, when on the TC working screen pressing the fire button twice quickly will cause the wattage to flash which can then be adjusted!

IkD3ixt.jpg
abru37u.jpg

The wattage adjusts from 1w to 100w in 0.1w increments with single presses or 1w increments with the button held down, it doesn't round robin! The Voltage can be adjusted in 0.01 increments from 0.5v right up to 8v, the final feature is left and the fire button pressed together resets the puff counter!

_________________________________________________________________________

Protections:

8S Overtime protection
Battery low protection
Overheating protection
High/Low ohm protection
Short circuit protection

_________________________________________________________________________

Charging

Although I never recommend charging in the device if it's your only option the B'adapt has a type C USB positioned on the base! Although those charging in the device will find the position of the USB a con as the device can't be stood up while charging for most who will never use it probably will prefer it out the way allowing for a slicker look!

While charging a status bar is displayed and once fully charged the screen turns off! As for the charge rate I have absolutely no idea as I can't find that information in the manual or on the Hippovape website but my guess for what it's worth would be either 1.5 or 2A!

_________________________________________________________________________

My Thoughts!

The devices performance is impressive, boosts voltage to 8v, fires with no delay and just worked flawlessly however it isn't perfect by any means. The first issue is like many devices these days it has smart wattage but it can't be turned off so every time the device is turned off, atomiser removed or batteries swapped out the wattage alters to one the device thinks you should be vaping at which is never the wattage you actually want!

The next is although I quite like the angled attachment and the whole idea of "adapting" the look it reduces the allowed atomiser size to only 22mm and the full sleeve attachment either completely blocks or reduces airflow, also only allowing for a 24mm atomiser when not using one of the attachments is quite limiting in comparison to other recent SBS releases which have allowed for at least a 25mm!

I am also not a great fan of the side fire button which doesn't allow full advantage to be taken of the ergonomics, however I really like the navigational rocker and the USB port being on the base although this will be a con for those wanting to charge in the device!

I like that either just the rocker, just the fire button or the whole device can be locked and the display and layout is top notch giving as well as the usual information also the PCB temperature and battery charge as a percentage! Despite it's flaws it's a really good device which I enjoyed using and although the attachments for adapting it's look could of been executed better, a good idea!

Dovpo and The Vapor Chronicles introduce the Topside Dual Carbon designed with a carbon fiber chassis as well as an integrated YiHi powered chip. This new TOPSIDE DUAL CARBON mimics the design of the original TOPSIDE DUAL squonk mod, but offers a stronger and appealing carbon fiber casing. Featuring a 200W capable proprietary YiHi chipset, dual 18650 battery design, and a top-filling 10ml silicone bottle; the TOPSIDE DUAL CARBON continues its legacy as the most versatile squonk mod to date.

The aluminum alloy and carbon fiber body houses the signature 10ml TOPSIDE squonk E-liquid bottle and two 18650 batteries (sold seperately), accessible via a slide and flip bottom battery door. Gold plated contacts and a solid spring loaded battery door contact, enable this device to be extremely dependable. The 10ml silicone bottle can be removed for easy cleaning, and cross compatible with the entire TOPSIDE line up. The user can fill the bottle by simply unscrewing the spring loaded, dual plug top cap; revealing two large fill ports. Adjacent to the top cap is a leak resistant stainless steel 510 base, with a gold plated bottom feeding contact, that can accommodate atomizers up to 25mm in diameter. Both the top plate and bottom base plate sections of the mod are constructed of zinc alloy for strength and durability.

"The fight to save vaping in the United States appeared almost over when FDA issued Marketing Denial Orders to over 300 vaping product manufacturers, thus requiring more than 5-million vaping products to be taken off the market. But dozens of vape companies fought back, launching legal action against FDA. Today on RegWatch, hear from Eric Heyer, partner at the law firm Thompson Hine and litigator behind many of the court challenges on behalf of major U.S. vape manufacturers. WTT/WTS - Harpy 18650 Mechanical Squonker

I am looking to trade or sell my authentic Harpy mechanical squonker. This is a small, beautiful squonker that just doesn't get enough use to justify keeping. It hasn't left the house since I got it.

The Harpy comes with the Harpy box, a ultem bottle, silver contacts with an easily adjustable manual 510 and is a 2 color ultem & brown color.

I am looking for a SQ217 preferably in anything other than black. I would also consider a stab wood Spade or something that is a 21700 or maybe a 20700 mechanical squonker.

The RRP is about $200 still for these so I figure $150 is a fair starting point for trade conversations. I'll go $150 F&F Priority shipped to your door if bought outright.

Must reply in thread with offers to enable feedback.

OXVA AND VAPX UNIBOX PnM KIT review by hittman

Hello and welcome to my latest review for Oxva. I’ve been really looking forward to receiving this one for review and it finally arrived after what seemed like a long wait. Most likely because I was looking forward to it. This time I’ll be covering the Oxva Unibox kit to the best of my ability. The Unibox is a collaboration between Oxva and VapX. It’s been a while since VapX came out with a box mod so maybe this is a sign they are looking to get back in the game. Like a few other mods we’ve seen on the market, the Unibox is IP68 rated waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof. The Unibox uses a single 18650 battery and has an output range of 5-80 watts along with a voltage output range of .5-9 volts. Also included in the kit is the PnM (Pyrex and Magnetic) Super Tank that was also included in the Vativ kit that I previously reviewed. You might think “oh, it’s just another 18650 mod kit”. Well, this mod is compatible with a software package for your computer called Unitool which is somewhat reminiscent of Escribe and allows you to make changes to the mod through the software. I will give a basic outline of the program in my review.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the Unibox kit shows just a picture of the Unibox with tank on the front with a marking in the corner stating it is 5ml. That is when using the included bubble glass. The pre-installed tank is 4ml. The back of the box gives some general information about the Unibox and gives a list of the contents as well as the company information for Oxva.

One side of the box lists some of the features of the Unibox while the other side simply states that the Unibox was designed by Justin Lai of Oxva and Colin Wang of VapX. I have to say that the Unibox does remind me of the VapX Meteor mod some. However the Meteor was smaller and had a built in battery that you could fast charge with the appropriate charger.

upload_2022-2-19_10-26-20.png

upload_2022-2-19_10-26-36.png

The tank that is included in the kit is the Unione PnM tank that I also received in the Vativ kit when I reviewed it. It is a very good tank and I have found the coils to be very good flavor producers. The pre-installed tank section has a capacity of 4ml while if you choose to use the bubble glass included then it has a capacity of 5ml. The drip tip included seemed very comfortable to use for me but it is a standard 510 drip tip if you would like to use your own. Once the drip tip is removed, you can use the included Oxva coin to put in the slot to unscrew the tank body to change the glass or clean the tank thoroughly.

The top portion of the tank pulls off of the base that has the 510 connection built in. It’s kind of a hybrid pod tank of sorts. The top portion of the tank is held in place with six magnets and does a good job of keeping the top portion secure in the base. Inside the base are the gold plated contacts that make connection with the coil that is simply a push in style. The airflow control is infinite and without a stop. I personally don’t love this. Since the tank portion is bottom fill with a rubber gasket then you have to remove the tank for filling and each time you put it back on then you have to reset your airflow. I feel like it had been a top fill instead then it would have been less troublesome.

The bottom of the tank has the Unione name etched in it along with what appears to be a date code and Justin Lai’s name. Also, the center pin for the 510 connection is gold plated.

upload_2022-2-19_10-27-45.png

upload_2022-2-19_10-28-3.png

Now let’s take a look at the Unibox mod. As I mentioned earlier, the Unibox is IP68. I received the gold blue edition. I like the color fade well enough but feel like the black leather with the red stitching doesn’t quite match. I’m not sure what would have been better. Perhaps just kept the entire body the same colors on metal.

There is minimal branding on this mod. The Unibox name is etched on one side while there is nothing on the other side. Then on the back is black leather with a crocodile type texture and the red stitching.

upload_2022-2-19_10-29-4.png

upload_2022-2-19_10-29-23.png

The top 510 plate of the Unibox has no screws holding it in place from the top like I’ve become used to seeing. I believe it is large enough to hold up to a 28mm atomizer. I’ll have to get out my big rta and give it a try.

upload_2022-2-19_10-30-18.png

On the bottom of the Unibox you will find USB-C charging/upgrade port located underneath a rubber plug. Also this is where the threaded battery cap is located. From the outside it appears there are a couple of battery venting holes but none on the inside. I don’t see how it could be IP68 if there were holes through to the inside. The bottom side of the battery cap is not marked but the inside of the mod is marked with a large red + to indicate battery polarity.

1icl73Z.jpg

QcolIeQ.jpg

The front of the mod has the round fire button near the top with the crisp display screen underneath that. Below the screen are the + and - buttons. The display shows the following information.

- Unibox name and battery level indicator

- Mode of operation

- Set wattage and unlock/lock symbol

- Coil resistance

- Output voltage while firing

- Length of current puff and puff counter

The button operation is as follows.

- Press the fire button 5X to turn the mod on/off

- Press the fire button 3X to highlight the mode and then the + and – buttons to change mode

- Press the + and – buttons to lock the adjustment buttons but the mod will still fire

- Press the fire button and the – button to change the display color

- Press the fire button and the + button to adjust the screen brightness then use the + and – buttons to adjust the level

You might be thinking by now that this all sounds like just another 18650 mod kit. Well, it’s not. Besides the normal modes of operation like VV, VW, TC-SS, TC-Ti, TC- Ni, TC-TCR, VPC, and Bypass, there is also a new function that I have not seen before which is Rate Battery. You install a fully charged battery and press the fire button. The mod automatically switches to Bypass mode for three seconds and tests the battery and gives you a rating.

PR2TTua.jpg

So is this everything? Not yet. Besides the Unibox and PnM tank working very well together, there is one more thing. There is a software package that you can download from the Oxva website that allows you to connect the mod to your computer and make changes to the mod from within the software. This software is called Unitool. I’ll give a basic outline of the software. Not only can you make changes to the mod but there is also a DIY tool built in that reminds me of the steam engine tool. Below is a picture of the main screen you will see when you first open the Unitool program. The DIY option is useable without connecting the mod but you need to have to have the mod connected to access the other options. I recommend using the included cable since you have to have a cable that is capable of carrying data. Not all cables can do that. Some are only good for charging which I discovered when I tried a cable that I already had plugged into my computer.

Once the mod is connected then you can go into the different modes to make changes. Below is the screen you will see once you click on the Power or Voltage mode buttons. Inside this screen you will see your power setting along with coil resistance and can actually fire the mod by clicking the fire button to test it. You can also choose between .1, .5, and 1 watt increment adjustment on the mod. I think this is a really good idea and would like to see it as an option on other mods. You can also choose between Soft, Normal, and Hard output modes.

MQRKX9V.jpg

Next is the Temperature Control screen. Here you can also fire the mod to test it and change your TC settings. You can also set the scale to either Degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius as well as choose between 1, 5, or 10 degree increments on the mod. You also select your coil type in this screen.

The next screens are VPC (variable power curve), and Bypass. I personally don’t use VPC very often but it’s really nice to be able to do those settings on a computer instead of trying to click through them on a mod. On the Bypass mode you can also test your battery.

Next is General Configuration tab. In this tab you can upload an 80 x 160 image for a background as well as set maximum puff time, screen timeout, sleep timer, and screen brightness.

dpXAfQd.jpg

Next is the Firmware upgrade screen which is pretty much self-explanatory.

DTNFDeE.jpg

Last but not least is the DIY Kits tab. Inside this tab you can use an Ohm’s Law calculator, use the Coil Wrapping guide and use the Battery Drain tool.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I very much have enjoyed testing the Oxva Unibox PnM kit. Having already used the tank on my last review, I knew exactly what to expect which is good flavor and large amounts of vapor. Both coils performed very well although I did run them a bit under the recommended settings. I just can’t do a really hot vapor.

From the mod being IP68 rated to having a plethora of functions as many mods do these days there is really nothing I didn’t like about the mod. Also having the convenience of being able to change settings and test the battery as well as the convenience of having the DIY Kit on the software package, there seems to be something for everyone whether you are a simple user that will just use the mod in power mode all the time or someone who likes to fiddle with settings and change things like uploading a picture for the background. You don’t have to download the software to use the Unibox but I would recommend it if you build your own coils so you will have the DIY Kit on your computer for easy access.

I’d like to thank Oxva and Sam for sending the Oxva Unibox PnM kit for this review. A big thanks to the readers for hanging in there until the end. I know this one got a little long but there was a lot to cover. Below is a link to the Oxva website if you’d like to look around. Besides the Unibox, they have a pretty good assortment of devices and tanks.

► FreeMax Maxus Max 168W Kit; First impressions:
When I received Maxus Max and touched the packaging for the first time, the first thing I thought was; "it must be a quality kit as the package is small but its weight is significant".
Once the outer sleeve is removed, I open the box, and I find myself in front of a Blue colored dual battery Mod with a pleasant appearance. But wait ... the device does not have the Thread 510, in fact there is a Metal Base with adjustable Afc integrated and fixed in the Mod ... This circular base is used to house only a PCTG cartridge ... I'm not a fan of Pod devices and I prefer metal atomizers and Mods equipped with 510 connection. However FreeMax's wide range of Mod Maxus to be complete needed such a device, and this Maxus Max looks really nice and well crafted.

Freemax-Maxus-Max-168-W-Kit-7.jpg

Maxus Max 168W is FreeMax's first dual battery Mod Pod, the cartridge uses the fantastic Coils MX Mesh Pro with FM Coiltech 4.0 technology peviously adopted in the popular FreeMax sub-ohm tanks. The main device (Mod) is quite compact, easy to handle and is built entirely of metal, weighing around 200g. All corners and edges are rounded for a solid feel that is very comfortable in the hand. I find the side Fire key that extends over the entire length of the side to be very ergonomic. I like Maxus Max, it has a sober and classy style, plus the matte paint leaves no room for fingerprints.

Freemax-Maxus-Max-168-W-Kit-8.jpg

Freemax-Maxus-Max-168-W-Kit-9.jpg

► FreeMax Maxus Max 168W Kit; Panels:
The main panel houses a smoked colored IML screen that extends over almost the entire surface, on the sides of the screen there is a feathered embossed molding. Inside the protective screen we find a display that is not very large but which is rather sharp and clear to read with 4 background colors that you can select as you wish. Below the IML screen we find the white FreeMax lettering and the "+ and -" adjustment buttons which are made of metal and are slightly protruding. Finally, at the bottom there is the USB-C charging socket.

On the rear panel of the Mod there is the pentagonal symbol of Maxus Max which is near the top, under the symbol of Maxus Max there are small writings concerning the name (Maxus), some specifications and the Made in China.

Freemax-Maxus-Max-168-W-Kit-10.jpg

► FreeMax Maxus Max 168W Kit; Side view:
The Fire button, or rather the bar, extends almost all the way along the side. For this reason, the button is comfortable to operate whether you are right or left-handed, or with your thumb or other fingers. The three horizontal lines near the top of the fret and some patterned decorations on the sides give a nice tactile feel. Furthermore, the key requires the correct pressure to be activated.

The other side of the Mod is bare and devoid of any decoration.

Freemax-Maxus-Max-168-W-Kit-11.jpg

► FreeMax Maxus Max 168W Kit; Top and bottom view:
The new FreeMax Pod connection is a base entirely made of fixed metal and integral with the Mod. The AFC ring has two rotation stops and is very precise and solid. The adjustment ring has a knurled surface for better finger grip. The slots for the passage of air are two and are opposite each other, when the slots are completely open they guarantee a large passage of air, they measure 15x4mm each. The connection with the Pod is entrusted to a large floating pin. The Pin is gold plated and is centrally positioned inside the compartment / base. Inside the compartment there are two very powerful magnets that keep the cartridge well anchored once engaged.

On the bottom of the Mod there is the opening door for changing the cells, which is screwed to the mod using two torx screws. The door has 3 raised steps which facilitate its opening / closing. The batteries have 3 safety vents made on the door

Freemax-Maxus-Max-168-W-Kit-12.jpg

The battery door is of the hinged sliding and lifting type. Inside the battery cover just above the copper plate that houses the contacts there is a clear plastic adhesive that you can also avoid removing as it does not hinder the operation of the Mod and perhaps this coating acts as an additional protection. The positive and negative poles are clearly marked under this sticker for correct cell insertion. Once the batteries have been inserted, the door offers an excellent closure, during the test I never had accidental opening. The device turns on automatically once the batteries are inserted and the door is closed.

Freemax-Maxus-Max-168-W-Kit-13.jpg

► FreeMax Maxus Max 168W Kit; Maxus DTL POD:
As I anticipated, Maxus DTL POD uses the same FM Coiltech 4.0 technology for the MX coils adopted on the FreeMax Sub-Ohm tanks, moreover it seems that an AFC base with 510 connection will soon be available for this cartridge for application on any Box-Mod 510.

Freemax-Maxus-Max-168-W-Kit-14.jpg

The 5ml capacity cartridge is entirely built in transparent PCTG and the Drip-Tip is not replaceable because the upper half of the resistance is directly inserted into the base of the Drip-Tip, in this way FreeMax has obtained a very compact sizing of the Tank and one very direct vape. The lack of the replaceable Drip-tip in this case is by no means a limit. There is no overheating of the lips and the airflow is perfect for the DL / RDL vaping style.

The filling method for this pod is lateral type, the hole is protected by a big rubber rather and easy to lift plug. The cartridge can also be conveniently filled while it is still connected to the Mod, in this case it is better to fill it for 3/4 to avoid liquid leakage and then having to extract the cartridge to dry it.

The coils are inserted under pressure from the bottom, they have a gold-plated bottom for better electrical conductivity.

Freemax-Maxus-Max-168-W-Kit-16.jpg

► FreeMax Maxus Max 168W Kit; Platform Coils:
The Maxus Max Kit is supplied as standard with the gigantic 0.2Ω MX-2 Dual Mesh Coil which slightly decreases the liquid capacity of the Pod. The spare 0.15Ω MX-1 Single Mesh Coil has a much smaller diameter, therefore with the MX-1 Single Mesh the liquid capacity in the Pod is slightly higher.

The wide range of MX Coil includes different types; with single mesh, double Mesh, triple Mesh, quadruple mesh, quintuple mesh and also a particular single mesh coil made of SS for vaping in TC with a range of 400-550 ° F (Best 500 ° F). All these resistors are enormous in size, some are made for RDL and others for pure DL and cover a particularly extended power range.

Thank you FreeMax for sending me a 3 piece pack of 0.15Ω MX3 Mesh coil to try. All MX coils can be purchased in packs of 3 pieces each.

► FreeMax Maxus Max 168W Kit; Final conclusions and vaping test:

The zinc alloy construction of Maxus Max makes the Mod quite heavy, however the compact size and its well-joined and soft shapes make it comfortable to carry, it is almost hard to believe that such a small device can accommodate two 18650 batteries. The display very clear and the long bar of the Fire button make the use of Maxus Max in general very comfortable.

The circuit guarantees a balanced batterys life and is really rich in functions, modes and protections. In VW, Bypass and VPC modes, Maxus Max works very well. Unfortunately I could not test the TC mode with the dedicated MX 1 SS 316L coil. In this regard, I did not understand the usefulness of the presence of the NI / TI modes for the TC vape since there is no Coils with these materials in the catalog. Perhaps new coils with these metals will be developed by FreeMax in the future.

My vape test took place with fruity e-liquid and 70/30 base and in about 10 days I tested all 3 different resistances I had available.
Just like the previous Freemax Coils I tried, these coils produce big clouds and great flavor. Since using the various FreeMax COILTECH I have noticed that all produce low condensation, plus all are performing at the highest levels.

• Mesh Coil MX1 from 0.15Ω Range 50-80W (Best 70W):
This Mesh single coil is very thin compared to the others MX Coils, so it offers more liquid capacity in the Pod and a more comfortable filling thanks to the greater space to insert the tip of the filling bottle. It is a rather reactive resistor, with which I have found satisfaction already starting from 50W, of course the maximum performance is reached with higher powers. At 55W I was perfectly fine with the airflow ring set to 1/3 opening. The operation of the MX1 is smooth and spit-free and the heat developed by the Tank is never excessive,

• Mesh Coil MX2 0.2Ω Range 60-90W (Best 80W):
This resistance is really excellent, it offers compared to the previous superior performance with dense clouds and saturated flavor, I particularly liked at 80W with fully open AFC ring. The Tank does not overheat even at 90W. As everyone knows, Pod systems are often plagued by condensation or liquid leaks, with this coil (but also with the others MX) I managed to vape about 30ml of e-liquid and the formation of condensation was really minimal.

• Mesh Coil MX3 from 0.15Ω Range 80-110W (Best 100W):
Freemax kindly sent me a box of MX3 coils which are as big and thick as the MX2s. The MX3 will not disappoint lovers of the very airy DL vape, they are really powerful. Their use is perfect with the air ring completely open and at 100W they impressed me, the vapor is hotter than the MX2 and the taste is almost as good as the MX2. However for me the MX2 remain the best. I can't wait to try the MX1 coil SS for TC and the future MX4 and MX5 coils.

Thanks to FreeMax for sending me the sample for review.

DIY Bulk Liquid Help

Hello. I recently bought larger bottles to make my E liquid in bulk rather than make 60ml bottles. Today was the first time I made a batch using the large bottles. When adding my last ingredient (VG) I got to 200g and my scale stopped reading. I needed to make it to 262g so I zero'd the scale and added 62 VG assuming the scale cut off at 200.

Once I was done I weighed the finished bottle on a larger digital scale I use for vegetables but does not measure mg. I took an empty bottle of the same size, weighed it, and subtracted the weight of the bottle from the finished bottle to learn my finished weight is 272g.

The recipe I followed has a final weight of 262g. The amount of Nic I used was 30g. Now, because I added 10g extra of VG Im trying to figure out how much Nic I need to add to achieve the correct strength....

I thought I could divide the original Nic/Weight of 30/262 which gets me 0.114. Then I divided NewNic/NewWeight 32/272 which gets me close at 0.117. So with this logic, if I added an extra 2g of Nic to my finished bottle would I be at the strength I wanted to make? (8mg strength) Im having trouble wrapping my head around the math, but this logic seems to check out.

Dunno if anyone has been here before and has a trick or tips on how to fix the situation. Because I made such a large amount, I guess 10g of extra VG would only lower my juice's strength by 1mg at most. So I could just settle but thought someone else might have been here before. Appreciate any thoughts.
