Dusted off an old IJoy Limitless Plus. Had to Youtube wicking as I have forgotten the details. All videos show cotton cut to about 1/4" bellow the deck. About 1/3 of the way into the juice. (Not seen in tank when assembled). Here's the question: How does it wick juice if the level goes below the cotton?

Hi, today let's take a look at one of Hellvape's latest offerings on the subject of high potential vaporizers, it is the Seri RDA.
In this Test I will examine each of the characteristics that distinguish it. I hope that by the end of this reading you have understood this product, and decide whether to invest in it or not. As always, my reviews are free and based on my personal experience.

► Hellvape Seri RDA; Usage and warnings:
Hellvape SERI is a high potential RDA which is capable of supporting an output up to 200W. It allows the most demanding vapers to use 3 low resistance coils to produce choreographic clouds of steam.

Note that the final resistance (Ω) after regenerating the deck is the sum of each single resistance, this is due to the system of coils arranged in series.



SERI RDA configured in low resistance triple coils must be installed safely on electronic Mods with multiple 18650 or 21700 batteries that guarantee perfect high-power operation and that support 12V output and 200W maximum power.

The use of Mechanical Mods or other Single Battery Mods is not recommended by Hellvape.
Note: Don't forget to install the "Short Circuit Connector" for the dual coil build.



► Hellvape Seri RDA; Mod Pairing:
I received from Hellvape for this test two different colors of SERI RDA, this gave me the possibility to configure SERI RDA Nero in BF dual coil configuration + Short Circuit Connector on Mod Smoant Battlestar Squonker (2x18650) and SERI RDA Rainbow in Triple Coil configuration on Mod Wismec Reuleaux RX GEN3 (3x18650).



► Hellvape Seri RDA; exploded view and first impressions:
When handling SERI RDA for the first time, one immediately realizes that Hellvape's high construction standard has also been respected in this case. I am therefore faced with a robust RDA with replaceable drip-tip, SERI is equipped with a wide air regulation with honeycomb design and rotation stops, the external AFC jacket rotates perfectly on generous and effective O-rings , everything seems to have been made with really good machining tolerances.

Furthermore, this new RDA by Hellvape with its diameter of Φ26mm offers a pleasant aesthetic impact to the eye with the right ratio of dimensional proportions. SERI has a very rich supply of spare part's for dual or triple coil configurations even for Mod Squonk. Seri RDA can be completely disassembled for thorough deep cleaning operations.





► Hellvape Seri RDA; AFC System:
For the regulation of the air flow there are 3 opposing rows of holes (13 per side) for a total of 26 holes, each of the holes has a diameter of about 1mm, the AFC configuration is the classic "honeycomb" with rotation stops . The air flow is directed towards a large surface of the coils, for this reason the central coil is slightly raised.



The outer sleeve has beautiful finishes with circular incisions on the perimeter that resemble a heat sink, the word SERI is placed inside a square and is perceptible to the touch. The ventilation grilles have a 45 ° inclination and adjust the underlying air passage holes, by rotating the Cap.

In the second side-by-side image the rotation stops of the external sleeve are visible (white arrows).



► Hellvape Seri RDA; Chimney:
The central one-piece structure (chimney) houses an internal O'ring at the top which has the task of holding the Drip Tip, the white arrows indicate the tracks, on which the rotation stops of the external sleeve slide for the adjustment of the passage holes of the air towards the coils.

In the second side-by-side image you can see the internal configuration of the fireplace. The first part of the chimney is wider and has a diameter of 25mm, the first internal part of the chimney is the one that fits into the deck and houses two spurs for the correct interlocking on the deck, the spurs are indicated by the white arrows.

The second internal section of the chimney is the one that compresses the steam directing it towards the drip tip, this section has a narrower diameter (20mm) and a depth of 12mm with, the dome have a hemispherical design.



► Hellvape Seri RDA; Build options:
The image below shows both Deck build configurations, they are; triple coil and double coil which provides in this case (instead of the central coil) the insertion of the steel bulkhead called "Short Circuit Connector".



► Hellvape Seri RDA; How the Deck is made:
The tank has a good depth (6mm) so it is able to accommodate a lot of e-liquid for good autonomy in case SERI is used in dripper mode. Furthermore, if SERI is used in Squonk mode, the considerable depth of the tank maintains a good reserve of e-liquid and allows to reduce the number of pressures on the BF bottle.

In the first image side by side and below, the two notches for inserting the chimney on the deck are visible and indicated by the arrows. The six turrets of the deck, as I said at the beginning; they are completely separable from the deck for deep cleaning operations. The Pin installed as standard on SERI RDA is slightly protruding, not suitable for mechanical Mods. The blind Pin for dripper mode is preinstalled on SERI RDA but can be replaced with the perforated one for BF use. In the second image side by side, the two large O'ring are visible, which guarantee a firm union between deck and fireplace. In this image you can also see the head of the screws for tightening the coils on the turrets, the screws have a classic slotted design.



► Hellvape Seri RDA; My Builds:
As I anticipated, I was lucky enough to receive two SERI RDAs, so I can show you the two Build options available at the same time. I decided to use SERI Nero for the Squonk, so I only installed two of the coils that are available in the package, while on SERI Rainbow I installed all three of the available Coils for high-power use, in dripper mode with Mod-three-batterys.

Using the supplied Coil-Tool, I cut all the legs of the coils to a length of 5mm and in a very short time I finished both Builds. The insertion of the legs into the turrets from above is very convenient, then just tighten the screws and straighten the coils.



Each SERI RDA pack contains 3 cotton laces, 3 laces were enough for Build both RDAs. The cotton must be left long enough as the depth of the tub is considerable (6mm). I gave the tips of the cotton a slight arrow shape before putting it in the tub. In the second side-by-side image (after inserting the chimney on the Deck) you can see the two Builds from above.



► Hellvape Seri RDA; Final conclusions:
When I received the Hellvape email informing me that an RDA capable of running at 200W would be sent to me, I was expecting a huge vaporizer. Surprisingly, SERI RDA is compact and with its diameter of Φ26mm it is only 1mm larger than the average RDA Dual Coil on the market.

The design of SERI RDA with two layers of heat protection, seems to have been developed for high wattage vaping, in fact the external sleeve (Top Cap) with its finned design, covers the solid structure of the internal chimney. Both elements (Top Cap and Chimney) dissipate heat well and lock securely in place and with good machining tolerances. The rotation of the air system is smooth and precise.

By removing both the internal and external structures (Top Cap and Camino) you are faced with a Deck designed with 6 uprights! The two central uprights are slightly raised compared to the other 4 and are the ones that will house the third Coil for the configuration of SERI RDA at high wattages. Before installing the Coils on the SERI RDA Deck, the serial arrangement of the resistors must be taken into account. The resistors included in the kit are 0.2Ω each, so in the case of a triple coil configuration the final resistance should be 0.6Ω (02 + 02 + 02) this data can be influenced by the lenghts of the legs of each coil, in my case the total resistance value is 0.7Ω with the legs cut to 0.5mm.

• RDA Triple Coil SERIES:
I tested my 2 SERI RDAs simultaneously with a red fruit e-liquid that I know very well.
Starting with the triple coil configuration I found myself slightly embarrassed as I usually use my RDAs configured in single-coil at 30-40W or at most in Dual-Coil at 60-70W.
I then started at 120W but the slow activation of the 3 resistors immediately made me increase the power first to 135W and then to 160W. With this last power (160W) I do not feel annoying delays in the activation of the coils, the perceived flavor is very good, with a notable and dense production of clouds of vapor, the air flow seems right to me, not too free and rather concentrated even with AFC open to 100%.

I have subsequently gone up to 180W and all the hitherto appreciated good features of SERI RDA have increased. The heat dissipation works well even at 180W and the SERI RDA's body always stays pretty cool. However at 180W with these 3 coils you begin to perceive a "toasted" cotton flavor which made me prefer the return to 160W.

I am sure that with three specific 0.1Ω resistors (01 + 01 + 01 for 0.3Ω total) SERI RDA will very well operate at 200W and beyond, producing amazing performances. But definitely out of my comfort zone. However, I am satisfied with the "softer" standard configuration and 160W of power for what concerns me, are abundantly sufficient. SERI RDA with this Build fully satisfies me with the tons of vapor and flavor it releases, I really couldn't ask for more.

• RDA Dual Coil SERIES:
With this configuration I immediately felt at ease because the power range to be used for vaping is noticeably lower and comes closer to my usual standards.

The resistive value of 0.5Ω is what I obtained with the dual coil regeneration and with the insertion of the "Short Circuit Connector" bulkhead in place of the central coil. I then installed the Pin BF on SERI RDA using one of the most powerful Squonk MODs I own.

The 2 coils are activated quite quickly already starting from 70W and offer a very fresh vape with a decent vapor production. I have been using SERI RDA at 70W for some time, and I have to say that with the AFC open to 50% it offers a pleasantly contrasted and Hit-laden Puff. I then increased the AFC opening at the same pace with increasing powers of 5W at a time until reaching 110W with the complete opening of the AFC. At 90 watts with the AFC fully open, SERI RDA definitely hit my sweet spot, I really enjoyed this setting very much. The aromatic performances are remarkable, the puff is fluid and silent and the quantity of steam clouds emitted does not make us regret too much other more exasperated configurations. I repeat once again that the temperatures on the SERI RDA body always remain civil even in the face of decidedly wild performance's.

In the course of this review I hope to have well described SERI RDA which I define as a niche vaporizer, but which I will certainly use again from time to time, especially in dual coil configuration.

So, if you want to drag yourself as high as possible with the vape at 200w and beyond, SERI RDA is for you! Make sure that your Box Mod supports 200W and 12V, but above all remember to use SERI RDA safely and with the specifications required by Hellvape, with suitable cells and resistors and only with electronically managed Mods.

Anyone ever get an ejuice they didn't really like and add a little diy tweak?

I saw great reviews on Naked 100 POG. Sounded good in theory... pomegranate, orange and guava.

Can't stand it! Very acidic and not sweet at all

I separated off 10ml and added some FA banana and sweetener. That took the edge off but needed something else. So I added some FA Fuji apple and it is actually enjoyable now.

So I guess two things. One, does anyone else modify commercial juice? And two, any suggestions on what may go well with POG?

Hi ECF members, In this review I take a look at the Reuleaux RX G Mod from Wismec. The Wismec Reuleaux RX G Mod was supplied for the purpose of this review by Sourcemore.

Introduction

Wismec are one of the vaping manufacturing old guards and along with Eleaf and parent company Joyetech make up the Jwei Group. With the Reuleaux range like the Luxotic being Jay Bo designs Wismec have been quiet since Jay Bo's departure but they are back with their new Reuleaux release so obviously deciding to keep the popular range going!

The RX G is a power only device but does have AST mode which gives dry burn protection for coils comprising of Stainless Steel wire, we also have AI (artificial intelligent) mode but before you get excited it's just smart wattage as seen on the majority of devices released these days.

For me though the neatest feature is the spring loaded floating trigger fire button which is absolutely awesome along with it's simple but clever locking mechanism! Also LED lighting is back with designs on switchable battery sleeves but more about that as I crack on with the review!

Aesthetics and Ergonomics

The RX G has a Zinc Alloy construction and comes packaged in a simple but sturdy cardboard box with outer sleeve, on opening I was met by a futuristic looking device with my eyes immediately drawn towards the large floating fire trigger. I received the Beast which refers to the battery sleeve design which can only be seen properly when lit by LED lighting, the Beast is an all Black affair, the other options are Cyberspace which is an Olive and Silver combo and Mecha which is a Red and Gold combination!

The face of the device is dominated at the top by a spring loaded floating trigger, underneath is a textured lever for activating the lock mechanism! We then have the screen followed by the Type C USB port.

Both sides have what look to be identical mirrored sections although the lower section one side is a clear plastic navigational rocker with mirror finish underneath! The rear of the frame is like a cage or skeleton protecting the removable battery sleeve on one side of this cage we have "WISMEC" and the other "RX G". Up top we have the very nice Stainless Steel 510 plate with spring loaded, Gold plated 510 and moving to the base we have a battery hatch door with venting!

The device being an 18650 is nice and compact and with the caged frame curving around the contour of the battery sleeve and that large floating trigger this just feels great in the hand when in use!

Fire Trigger and Locking Mechanism!

A fire button getting a section all to itself, well that's what happens when it's the sickest fire button (trigger to be more accurate) I have come across on a regulated device! We have a spring loaded floating trigger with circular protruding section to the underside which almost rests on the fire pad proper, pressing the trigger gives such a satisfying click of the pad which reacts with zero delay!





We also have a little lever underneath the trigger which when pushed upwards to the lock position raises a metal plate behind the trigger to block it's movement so not allowing the device to be fired!

Fitting The Battery

The RX G accommodates a single 18650 which gets fitted via the bottom hatch door. The door has a front tab which slots through a metal catch and a tab each side to the rear which slide into a rail each side to secure! I have had no issues with the door but this type can with constantly being put down on surfaces open occasionally so something to be aware of!

On the underside of the door we have the negative marking embossed into the contact plate (would prefer clearer White marking) and plenty of venting holes. The sleeve can be pulled out revealing the translucent 510/positive contact surround, within this surround we have LED's for lighting up the pattern on the battery sleeve. Although I received the joint smoking Gorilla which comes with the Beast (Black) version the other sleeves will be available separately giving a customisation option!

When fitting the sleeve the translucent surround has a tab and the sleeve a matching cut out which needs lining up, this also stops any spinning of the sleeve which is quite common with removable battery sleeves that don't screw in place with threading.

The Display

The device has an animated futuristic looking display which is well laid out if slightly on the dim side, I really wish the brightness could be increased but sadly not, it's nothing major just a bit brighter would be better!

Top left we have the resistance and then top right the battery status as a percentage (I like), underneath central we have the wattage! Below the wattage to the left we have "AST" which will be highlighted when that mode is active and to the right "AI" which again is the active mode when highlighted!

Finally bottom left is vape duration and bottom right the 3 digit puff counter.

Operating The Device

The RX G is the usual 5 clicks of the fire button to turn on and 5 clicks to turn off and once on after some brief animation we are greeted by a futuristic looking display! The fire lock is mechanical and already explained but the device also allows for just the navigational rocker to be locked which is 3 quick presses of the fire button, once locked another 3 quick presses unlocks.





Pressing both sides of the rocker brings up the menu list which can be scrolled through pressing fire to select, the options are Modes, AI, Color (colour), Puff, ID Check and Exit.





When selecting modes it allows you to turn AST mode on or off and if selected it will throttle back the power when it detects there is no liquid so giving dry burn protection but although the RX G doesn't have a full TC mode the AST mode to work does require for the coil wire type to be SS and can be tailored to work more accurately by entering a TCR value, on the modes screen it also gives the option of Voltage mode! AI mode is smart wattage so when selected it will automatically adjust to a suitable wattage for the resistance of the coil, I do like how the AI is implemented on the RX G as it's a mode you need to choose rather than it being default which can't be overridden! I also like that it only gives a suitable wattage when detecting a new coil, if it's the same coil it instead remembers your last wattage setting and also updates future wattage recommendations!







Color (colour) is for the LED settings which I will cover in the next section and then puffs allows you to monitor your daily puff count or reset. ID Check displays a QR code to check authenticity and obviously Exit takes you back to the working screen. Finally the wattage scrolls in 1W increments from 1W up to 100W, it doesn't round robin!

LED Lighting!

There is a design on the battery sleeve which until fire is pressed is well hidden only being visible in good lighting, from any reasonable distant the sleeve just appears a solid colour! The name of each colour option refers to the pattern on the sleeve and as mentioned I received "Beast", the Black version which has a joint smoking Gorilla design (not my choice I actually requested the Olive and Silver "Cyberspace" version).

When firing the device the design lights up with the colour of LED selected, at the same time branding either side "WISMEC" and "RX G" also lights up from within the mirrored panels, the lighting also flashes when protections kick in! Alternately selecting loop cycles through the colours for the entirety of the device being switched on which would annoy 99% of people I would imagine, at least they can also be switched off (no more joint smoking gorilla, yeah)!





In the menu the colour of the LED lighting can be selected between White, Red, Green or Blue while selecting loop cycles through Green, Red, White, Yellow, Dark Blue, Purple and Light Blue! Finally for those that don't particularly care for LED's there is an option to turn off!







When selecting the LED colour options certain accents on the display also change to that colour which I wish could be changed independently!

Charging

As usual I don't recommend charging in the device but if it's your only option then the RX G has a type C connection and 2A charge rate! While charging the screen displays a battery cell and gives the charge as a percentage! We also get some animation in the form of rising vapor, the RX G does support passthrough vaping!

My Thoughts!

Let's get the negatives out the way which first of all "a gorilla smoking a joint" Wismec what are you thinking? Apart from the particular design on the one I received I can take or leave LED's especially if like on this device there is an option to completely turn them off!

Other cons are the rocker which I find is fine for selecting up or down but quite awkward to choose both to enter the menu so sometimes the wattage zooms up or down before it registers. Finally I believe there is room for both single 18650 and 21700 devices with 18650's being really small while a 21700 device will give extra performance and slightly better battery life for those that need it but the trade off is a bigger device. My issue with this device is it's 100w, if you want a 100w device it needs to accommodate a 21700, maybe with a very good, new, freshly charged 18650 you might just about get 100w but realistically a single 18650 device should be 80w max!

The star on show is undoubtedly that fire trigger which is absolutely awesome, I also quite like the futuristic look and the designs on the sleeves without LED's are not obtrusive, also for those that do like LED's and customisation the sleeves can be bought separately and the LED settings altered although the loop option would drive just about anybody around the bend!

I like how easy the device is to navigate and the AST dry burn protection is a great option if using an SS coil, I also like how the smart wattage (AI Mode) is implemented! I also like the daily puff monitoring system although we only have a 3 digit puff counter which zeros after reaching 999!

The battery status is given as a percentage which I like a lot and overall I do like the display if a little on the dim side! I also like that the display colour can be changed but don't like that it's dependant on the LED setting!

While testing the device it fired at set wattage instantly and just worked as it should, no problems! Although I personally wouldn't charge in the device we also have Type C and 2A charging while supporting passthrough. Up top it will accommodate up to 26mm atomisers without overhang which covers the vast majority of atomisers anyone would want to use on a single battery device and finally one last time did I tell you about the awesome fire trigger?

Hello!

My name is Gabriel, and as I said in the title, basically i have been just introduced into vaping. I'm a newbie, and this will probably be a dumb question, but I can't find a solid answer for it anywhere on the internet.

I want to buy my first mod and my first RTA atomizer, and my concern is about batteries. I'm stuck between a single 21700 battery mod, or a dual 18650 battery mod. I want to buy an OXVA Arbiter 2 RTA Atomizer, and use it with dual coils. I can't say for sure which wattage range I will be vaping on, but I'll probably gonna use tricore Clapton coils, 3mm, 6 wraps, Ni80 and something about .35 or .40 ohms (as I'm new into all of this, I'm gonna do experiments between coils to see which one suits best for my taste, but I'll start testing with Fused Claptons and Alien Claptons coils, and I know that using them as dual coils the resistence will split in half).

My question is: can a single 21700 battery mod handle this setup and give me an all day usage, or is It more recommended to get a dual 18650 battery mod? I would prefer to get a single 21700 mod, cause then i'll need to buy only 2 batteries (Molicel p42a), while on a dual 18650 mod i'll need to buy 4 batteries (Sony VTC6). Things are overpriced where I live. But, of course that, in the end, i'll choose the safest and the best option.
