Hello again. I’m back today with another review for a new Geekvape product. Actually it’s two products that are similar enough that I’m going to combine them into one review. These new products are the Aegis One and Aegis 1FC. I don’t know if you are aware but Geekvape is an official partner of the Paris Saint-Germain FC. I don’t follow soccer but am thinking this is a big deal for them. The One and 1FC are very similar in appearance and operate similarly but the difference lies in the battery capacities and how they can be charged. The One has a capacity of 780mah while the 1FC has a capacity of 550mah but can be charged in 15 minutes using a fast charger. As far as I know this is the third device that Geekvape has released that is fast charging.






WHAT’S IN THE BOX?

I am not exactly sure how these will be packaged for retail so will just show what I received for the review. I am assuming they will be sold separately although the review sample I received contained both pod devices and two pods of different resistance.


After writing the above statement, I discovered that the retail version will include one mod, two pods, charging cable and user manual.

INITIAL THOUGHTS:

The packaging for the samples that I received was in the very nice reviewers sample. I’m pretty sure that this will not be the same for the retail packaging. Once the top is removed there is an orange flap that has a nice message on it from Geekvape. I lifted the flap and was impressed with the appearance of the 1FC and the Aegis One. Each was displayed nicely in a foam insert with the two included pods in the center.

As you can tell from the picture below, the silver with the denim look backing on it is the 1FC and the black one with the leather backing is the Aegis One.







The Aegis One and 1FC are the first pen style vape devices of the Aegis series. The body of the devices is made of zinc alloy to make it more resistant to shocks/drops and more scratch resistant.

The Geekvape name is stamped into one side of the devices which is pretty much it as far as branding on them. I do like them keeping with the Aegis design in having the padded backing whether it’s the blue denim or the black leather.

On what I would call the left side is the fire button. Both devices can be activated by pressing the fire button five times. Also both can be fired by either pressing the fire button or can be auto draw activated. T

There are three available power levels on either unit. The power level on either device is changed by pressing the fire button three times. The three levels are indicated as follows:

- High – Green: 3.5V

- Medium- Blue: 3.3V

- Low- Red: 3.1V



The fire button is on what I would call the left side if you are facing the skinny side with that has the LED or LEDs on it depending on whether you are using the One or 1FC.









The USB-C charging port is on the bottom of either mod so they cannot stand up while charging which is no big deal to me. The 1FC can be charged in 15 minutes which is a nice feature. The One will take longer if for no other reason than the increased battery capacity. The bragging point of the One is that it is good for two days use. I think that really depends on the person using it depending on length of draw and frequency of vaping by that person.

Both mods weigh in at 70g while the 1FC has a 550mah battery and the One has a 780mah battery. Both are rated at 5V/2A charging rate.



The pods included in the kit that I received are .8 ohm rated at 12-16 watts and 1.2 ohm rated at 8-12 watts. This of course depends on the battery level setting.

The pods are both clear to make it easy to see the liquid level and are also top fill by pushing off the mouthpiece which I greatly appreciate. To me a top fill pod is a very nice feature. The larger hole on one side is for filling while the smaller hole on the opposite side is a vent. Don’t put liquid in the center hole or you will flood the coil.

The pod only goes in one way as does the mouthpiece since it is angled down on one side. On the pod itself there is a rectangular protrusion on one side with three horizontal notches that faces the outside of the pod where the cut out is.

A word of warning, make sure the mouthpiece is snapped on completely or you will get a mouthful of liquid. When I first got the kit I made the mistake of not having the mouthpiece on all the way with the 1FC and it was not pleasant. No fault but my own. Just user error.











The pods use a special S type airway that makes smoother airflow and is supposed to increase throat hit. I can’t really say that I noticed the increase but the liquid I was using doesn’t really have a lot of throat hit.




FINAL THOUGHTS:

The design and build quality of the Geekvape Aegis One/1FC are fantastic in my opinion. They have a great hand feel and work well whether you use them with button activation or auto draw.

I felt like I got good battery life from both and what’s not to like about being able to charge the 1FC in 15 minutes. Since I received both for the review I tried the .8 ohm pod in the 1FC and the 1.2 ohm pod in the Aegis One. Both pods had good flavor production and generous vapor production. The flavor wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but it was good for a pod device. The draw on the 1.2 pod was a little tighter and better for a MTL experience while the .8 pod was a looser draw but I like an airy MTL so it was a good fit for me. I found the mouthpieces to be quite comfortable.

I do kind of wish that Geekvape had been able to incorporate an airflow control into these two mods to make them a little more versatile for different users. I had zero leaking or condensation during my time testing them. It seems like companies are getting better and better at eliminating leaking issues. I very much dislike leaking so greatly appreciate it when a device is designed so well that it doesn’t seep and there is little or no condensation.

We'll be taking an in-depth look at the Freemax Marvos S 80W Kit. In the Marvos family of 4, this is like the adopted sibling that you'd love to have (I was adopted, now I'm kinda jealous ). It separates itself from the others because it's the Marvos S 80W mod with a Marvos DTL Pod Tank plopped on top of it. We've seen this similar type of setup from other companies before, but how well were they executed in comparison? You shall soon find out.

Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, I want to first thank @Freemax_Jerry for providing the opportunity to do a review on a few different fantastic Freemax products. As always, I will remain neutrally bias and critical in this review (again, even though I love Freemax, I give credit where it's due while equally pointing out flaws and potential things to look out for). This review will provide you with my conclusive experience over the past 22 days of use.

(a quick update)
The first two products I did reviews for were both pod kits (the Onnix 2 and Marvos 60W) because I wanted to assemble and get them going first to see how well they would hold up over the course of a few weeks with leaking. That is by and large, the biggest problem with pod kits - the leaking. I am happy to report that the Onnix 2 is completely leak free (slight condensation from the airflow inlets, but to be expected) as well as the 0.35 Ohm and 0.15 Ohm Marvos DTL Pod Tanks I've been hot swapping back and forth between the Marvos 60W and Marvos S mods. 3 for 3 on no leaking over the course of 3 weeks so far. Thumbs up!

Based on the compatibility of the MS-series coils this kit uses, it falls in closely with its relatives, the Marvos 60W, the Marvos T 80W, and the latest release of the Marvos 80W. As mentioned above, it's a stand-alone mod with a 510 adapter utilizing the same Marvos Pod Tank compatible with all of the other pod kits mentioned above.

As mentioned in the Onnix 2 review and several times over in the forums, me being mainly a Restricted Direct Lung (RDL)/Direct Lung (DL) vaper, the Freemax 904L-series coils used to hold the standard by which I compared all other RDL/DL drop-in coilheads. That title has been officially stripped away by the new MS-series coils used in these Marvos pod kits. The flavor production is real sticky-icky, ooooooiee! There is a caveat to this however, and I'll get into that down below.

The MS-series Coils Come in 4 Different Resistances:

As mentioned in the intro, I've been hotswapping the 0.15 and 0.35 Ohm coils between the Marvos S and Marvos 60W kits. Both perform very well in the Marvos 60W, and both can perform well in the Marvos S with the 510 base, but that heavily depends on the Airflow setting. More on that below.

The 904L X coils used in the Fireluke 3 up to this point have been the coils I compare all other RDL/DL coil heads to. I was and am absolutely shocked by the flavor production in these MS coils. The only potential shortcoming I can see is overall coil life in comparison to the 904L X's, but I haven't worn the 0.35 Ohm MS coil out yet and I've vaped only 40-45 mL of juice through it - so far, so good. In comparison, I've probably put 85-95ish mL of juice through the original 904L X2 I currently still have in my very first Fireluke 3, and it's still pumping out great flavor. That is the standard to beat. Either I got a super freakish coil, or they're just that much ahead of the rest of the pack. Read reviews - this isn't embellishment what-so-ever. In regards to overall flavor though - the 0.35 Ohm MS coil wins. I have not tried the 0.25 Ohm coil or the 0.5 Ohm coil, yet.


Pod/Pod Tank Compatibility:

The pods listed below slide into the 510 base adapter pictured above and can then be used on most 510 mod devices. I say most because of a gripe I have with single battery mods that do not have a boosted chip. I will talk about that further down in the review. For the resistances that are available in the MS-series coils, the Marvos S works just fine.


The DTL Pod Tank is what comes included in this kit (far right). The PCTG DTL Pod (which is the same pod in this kit minus the 510 base adapter), Glass DTL Pod, and RTA Pod either come in other kits or can be purchased separately.

*To clarify the asterisk at the bottom of the picture, the RTA Coil that fits into the RTA pod is actually a deck that does not share the same dimensions as the MS-series coils, therefore the RTA deck will not fit up into the PCTG/Glass DTL pods or the DL pod tank, and vice versa. It does however appear that the RTA Pod will fit into the 510 base adapter that comes along with the DTL Pod Tank so that you can use it as well on a 510 mod such as the Marvos S. I am not completely certain on this, but it would make sense. To give you an idea what the RTA Pod mesh deck looks like, here is a picture and a link for more information.




All of the Freemax pods listed above can be interchanged between all 4 currently available Marvos kits. The 510 base adapter that comes with the Marvos S allows you to enjoy this pod on any 510 device which I've been happily testing on several different mods. The flavor is still outstanding.

It should be mentioned that Freemax has included the CRC Pod in their description. I did not receive this pod and cannot confirm if it's going to become their new pod standard, or if this is something that can be purchased separately for those concerned about child-proofing their kit.

Simple enough, there's a metal clasp that locks the rubber refill plug after it has been securely placed into the hole.


Airflow:

Normally I would give a general description of the Airflow Control, but with this kit it greatly effects the flavor of certain coils. Firstly, this pod tank is marketed as a DL tank, so we really can't expect anything other than a restricted DL (RDL) or DL vape style when purchasing this kit. Even with the airflow control fully closed, you're not going to get an MTL vape of any kind, so I applaud Freemax for accurately marketing their product. It annoys me when a company markets their product as "MTL", when at its most restricted setting, is an RDL vape. You can't really puff on this like a cigar or cigarette, therefore as it's advertised, this is a DL (DTL) kit only, so kudos.

Between the 0.35 and 0.15 Ohm coil, I've found that the particular juice I've been vaping which is a Glazed Donut with a small ratio of Honeydew Melon is better in the 0.35 than the 0.15 coil. This is purely anecdotal, so your experience may differ some. The only way I've achieved an almost similar performance with the 0.15 Ohm coil in regards to flavor is when I fully close off the airflow control ring. So if you don't mind a restricted DL vape, you can still achieve really good flavor from the 0.15 Ohm coil, or you can open the airflow ring all the way open and puff some decently sized clouds. I like that this kit can perform well in both of these aspects.


18650 Type-C USB with 2A Charging:

The battery I'm using in the Marvos S 80W is a 20A 3000mAh 18650. I have been vaping both the 0.35 Ohm coil at 30 Watts and the 0.15 Ohm coil at 40 Watts (AFC fully closed). Currently, the Marvos S has just breeched the 1000 puff mark sitting at 1012 puffs. Being that I've been swapping back and forth between the 0.35 and 0.15 and using different Wattages, it's hard to tell you what to expect in regard to puffs per battery discharge. Based on my notes, I'd say you can expect 120ish puffs at 50W, 150ish puffs at 40W, and probably closer to 180-200ish puffs at 30W.

The mod itself isn't boosted, therefore the Voltage output as with most non-boosted chips is 3.2-4.2V. If you're using the 0.35 Ohm coil at 30W or 0.15 Ohm coil at 40W, there isn't much notice of performance degradation until you hit maybe the last 10-20% of battery life. The higher in Wattage you go, the more noticeable this will become. Coupling this pod tank with the Freemax Maxus 100W, which is a boosted mod, is a more ideal pairing. For what it is, this mod does a pretty decent job of pumping out the rich flavor the MS coils have to offer.

If you think that artworks can only be found in museums, you are wrong. Vaping is a form of art and with ZERO 2 it finds its most supreme expression.

I've been looking for tube extensions for some of the popular 21700 mech mods but they're getting hard to find. I did find an extension tube for a Tauren and am eagerly waiting for it to be delivered from China.

I was looking at some 18650 mods. For instance Vaporider has a clone of an Origin Mod that comes with three tubes. The large tube is for an 18350 battery and has two female ends - one for the top cap and one for either the switch or an extension tube. The extension tubes have a male end and a female end. Add the small extension tube for an 18500 battery (adds 150 mm), or add the medium extension tube for an 18650 battery (adds 300 mm).

I was wondering that if I were to buy more than one of these mods, that I might find a combination of extension tubes that would fit two stacked 18650 batteries. Has anyone ever done that?

Actually it's looking doubtful because there's no combination of 150 or 300 that adds up to 650. But if I bought five of these mods, used one 300 mm tube for the first 18650, and added four more 300 mm tubes and five 150 mm tubes, it would add up to an additional 1950 mm which is equal to three additional 18650 batteries.

So it would work for four batteries. Hmm... 16 volts. That would probably burn up the switch pretty fast, but I'd have five switches to burn through.

I'd have to wrap two 2 ohm coils which would result in 16 amps and 320 watts!
I don't think the coils would fit into an atomizer for an 18650 mod.

I could go through the same calculation for 18350 or 18500 batteries, but now I have a headache.

Fun to think about but stupid.

I placed an order for $130 worth of product on November 8, 2021 and another order for $100 on November 12, 2021. I’m aware it says could take up to 14 days max but that time has come and gone and my order still shows as “preparing to ship”

I contacted support through vaping.com website on November 18th. Finally got a response on November 22 from support stating:

And it was recommended that I check out the available mods from the store, rather than going with a Smok kit.

The store only sells Innokin mods, and I didn't know what questions to ask the gal on the phone. I know absolutely nothing about mods.

For someone who's only used KR808s for their entire e-cig career (at least 5 years now), what am I looking for if I'm deciding between a Smok kit and an Innokin mod? What questions should I ask the staff when I head in today?

Please keep in mind there is no local to me store, I'm out of town for Thanksgiving, so this is my one chance to stock up. What am I buying? Extra coils, for sure. But what else?

Here I will talk about new zero pod system from Vaporesso. This pod system is new and better version than very famous zero pod system. This device comes in really nice package where you will receive two pods and bottle to fill the pod which is amazing. Build quality of the device is really good, everything is as it should be. Dimensions of the device are 89*31.8*19mm and it fits really nice in the hand if you ask me.









Pod:

So with this device you will receive two pods which is always good. Pod stays really nice in place because of magnets. Mouthpiece is good and comfortable for using. This device is compatible with pods from previous zero which is really good and I really like this because many people have previous version and they can use pods here. Capacity of the pod is 3ml which is really good and this is better than on previous version. Filling the pod is easy, you will receive bottle in the package and you will use it to fill the pod from the bottom. You can use here pod with 1ohm coil or 1.3ohm coil.









Mod:

From the top side is slot for the pod and everything here is made very well. The design is similar as previous version but it looks way more modern in my opinion and I like it more. Also this device is very comfortable for using. The device has built in 800mah battery which is better than on previous pod system. From the bottom you can see usb c which is good and this device supports 1A charging. On the device you can see the battery indicator, you can see few led lights and I really like it. On this device you can't adjust the power but it works in constant working mode which is good, it works at 9w with 1.3ohm coil and at 11w with 1ohm coil which is okay in my opinion and really simple.










My thoughts:

Build quality is very good, really nothing to complain about. In the package you will receive two pods and bottle which is good. Mouthpiece is comfortable for using and you can really easy fill the pod with bottle from the package. You can also see eliquid in the pod which is good. Pod stays really good in the place and it is compatible with pods from previous model of the device. The capacity of the pod is 3ml which is really good. Device is designed really nice and it is comfortable for using. We have 800mah battery here and you can pretty fast charge the battery. On this device you can't change working modes but it works in constant working mode which is good for someone who want to start vaping because it is very simple. With 1ohm coil device will work at 11w, but with 1.3ohm coil it will work at 9w which is good. The device has draw activated switch that is very sensitive and works really good. Airflow is tight which is good for real mtl vaping, we can't adjust airflow here. Both pods are very good, similar as on previous zero, flavor is very good and they preform really good. In my opinion zero 2 is one very simple and friendly device that works really good.
