Cthulhu Artemis MTL RTA is made from stainless steel material and sports an overall diameter of 22mm. With its compact size and low wattage design, it'll pair well with those single battery side by side devices like the Aspire Mixx. The Artemis does have a maximum e-juice capacity of 2.4ml and features a simple top fill design. While it's not the most capacity, you definitely won't be plowing through vape juice. There's a wide dome-shaped chimney on the inside, providing you with excellent flavor. Now when it comes to building on this deck, it's fairly easy.

Many users asked us, can I use a 5V 3A adapter to charge my XTAR VC2 charger (requires 5V 2.1A)? Or can I use a 5V 1A phone charger to charge the XTAR 5V 2A charger, or vice versa? I always receive these kinds of questions. So many users want to know what happens when they use the wrong charger specification.

There are two points you need to know.

Firstly, the Voltage supplied by the USB power supply must exactly equal what your device requires. Or some damage may occur to either.

Secondly, the Current of the USB power supply should equal what the device requires or be larger. If it is smaller, the device may charge slow or may not charge.

A device will only draw the current it needs. Under the same voltage, if your device is rated at 2A, it will only take around 2A from a 3A output of the USB power supply, leaving a 1A of headroom. So, as long your device needs less power than the USB power supply can provide, no need to worry.

If your device is rated at 2A and your USB power supply gives a maximum of 2A or even can’t reach 2A, it means it is working at 100% and will heat up. Your device will either charge slower or just drain the battery slower (if battery powered) or refuse to work (not enough power to operate).

Here's my current rig. It's a P.I.D. temp controller with a 25mm ID coil sourced from an injection molding setup. It uses a k-type thermocouple for the sensor, and thus is 5 rail grounded AC current. The controller is rated at 250w, but my coil is only 150w. Ramp time is a few minutes, but I leave it on all day, so no worries there. The vaping surface is SiC, or silicon carbide.

I have had the amazing opportunity of reviewing the Maxpod, sent to me by Freemax. This is my first review and I hope I can share some relevant information and my personal opinions with our vaping community.

Inside the Box

The colour around my Maxpod is a dark metallic black with a shiny blue and like a clear layer over it, a bit of fingerprint magnet but not too bad.


With every draw the LED light will light up, colours will indicate battery level, white, then blue and finally red. In my experience when it shows red pretty much next draw it will not fire. Not much warning if I wanted to charge it before it stopped working.

The micro USB port is located on the one side of the device and I had no issues with this at all. Using the micro USB cable provided is just plug it to the micro USB port on the side of the Maxpod and the battery will charge. LED light stays red while charging and once is fully charge the LED light will go off. Charge from completely depleted battery to full took around 35 to 40 mins.

Always remember to prime the coils, press fit the coil in the pod, fill with juice of your choice and let it sit for at least 10 minutes. Just to make sure the coil is fully saturated.



On the device there are two airflow holes one of each side to give a MTL experience.


This is a very solid device, nice feel on the hand with more weight to it than I expected, which is not a bad thing.

The pod can hold 2 ml of juice, it has a clear marking with a minimum line, when reached, the pod should be refilled to avoid burning the coil. The pod is tinted, slightly lesser under the mouthpiece, during the day is easier to see the juice level, not so much when it is dark.


The pod connects to the device using two strong magnets, I can lift the device just by holding the mouthpiece and I did get a slight movement of the pod once inside the device, almost not noticeable.


The pod has a side rubber plug, easy to open and hold while refilling, I had to tilt the pod to make the juice go around to fill completely. I used a 10 ml and 100 ml bottle, no issues with either to refill. Something to note here it is if I fill the pod to max capacity or leave it on it side, I do get a bit of juice in my tongue for the first few puffs.


The firing time of the Maxpod is fast which is a tick in my book, both coils are rated for MTL.

I started with the NS Mesh 1ohm coil (light blue), for me a loose MTL but I can happily do both MTL or a very restricted DL which is what I personally prefer, flavour is amazing, I get to taste different notes of my usual juice.



With the NS Mesh 1.5ohm (red) is a tighter draw, flavoursome, more MTL and a slightly more restricted DL for me.

If someone wanted a tighter MTL one could close one of the two airflow holes with the lanyard or a finger. I did try but a bit too tight for my liking.

Both coils are great, but I prefer the NS Mesh 1 ohm, not to tight and more flavour, not that I mind using the 1.5 ohms. I am a very versatile vaper.

The Maxpod has taken the top spot for my daily carry around device because it packs a punch in flavour and all around is solid device.

The Supbox including the Sleeve is mainly built in shock-resistant ABS and finely wrinkled to the touch. Some details are in metal: the bottom of the mod around the display, the battery-tube and its closing cap.

With a weight of 146g it cannot be said that it is a very light mono-battery, but I do not even feel like saying that it is too heavy, however in the hand it feels balanced and grips well.

Its form factor is particular; narrow on the back, slightly indented in the center and rather wide on the front; this in order to accommodate the 5ml Boro-Tank and the other accessories of the Billet-Box.





On the side we find the Micro-USB socket with 2A charging, above there is the plate that says "Supbox". Another decorative element is composed of the three lines in relief that give a good grip, embrace a part of the side panels and the back of the mod.



At the front we can see the section with increased size, the wide transparency of the tank, the silicone cap for a comfortable refill and the slightly protruding metal fire button.

I hope you are well during this crazy pandemic time. I need some help with an order I place on August 18th. The order is: #V100380217. Since August 19th it’s said it’s “preparing to ship,” yet never does actually ship out. So it’s been over 2 weeks and it’s still not even shipped.
