How it is made:

The zinc alloy frame is covered with a plastic surface with different textures depending on the area, at the top the texture emulates the skin while below we find two areas with diagonal lines both of these solutions give a very pleasant tactile feedback.
On the side the Vaptio writing takes on different shades depending on the reflected light.

For the liquid control, we have two small but effective diagonal windows.



The bridge houses a fairly comfortable fire button, built in oval-shaped plastic material, with texture and slightly protruding.
The 0.69-inch monochrome OLED display below is arranged vertically and shows in order: graphic battery level, VW unique vape mode, wattage lock / unlock symbol, coil resistance and set wattage.
The Up / Down rocker button is well sized, made of plastic material, oval in shape, slightly protruding.



On the back at the top we find the air regulation system with "gate" design, simple but effective, braked at the right point for an optimal and rapid adjustment.

Hello again and welcome back for another review, todays review is on device in the Voopoo Argus line and it's called the Argus Air. The Argus Air is a Pod system that has adjustable wattage and uses a internal battery and also has adjustable airflow, but only 2 airflow choices are offered in this device. After we get to know the Argus Air a little bit more in detail I'll give you my findings on it after using it for a couple of weeks.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS


The Argus Air comes in a box with a slide inner compartment that houses the device and two pods that sit in a nicely packaged tray with the charging cable, user manual and coil contained in a box underneath the tray. You will notice the top Pod has a blue fill port cover on it and that one is a disposable pod that when the coil life is over toss it, the coil can't be replaced, but the other Pod with the black fill port cover has the replaceable coil .




The Pods themselves are connected to the device using magnets that are very strong and secure and are side filled. The fill port in nicely positioned on the side toward the bottom of the Pod making full filling of the Pod easier.




I find the Argus Air to be a very attractive looking device with a leather wrap that has Argus embossed on one side and Voopoo embossed on the other side. On the bottom of the device is it's Type-C charge port.





What's nice with the Argus Air is you have a very bright LED screen located under the power button which is the only button on the device.




The PNP - TM1 0.6Ω coil that is provided is a very wide type of mesh that has good flavor.




As I said earlier the Argus Air only has one button which is the power button and to get into the menu is done with a couple of button combinations , pressing the power button 3 times quickly puts you in the wattage adjustment mode , once in this mode you will notice the W on the screen begin to blink once it's blinking each press of the power button will increase your wattage up to 25 then will round robin back to 5w .

Pressing the power button 5 times gives you a screen with 3 options being LOCK, POWER OFF AND PUFF CLEAR along with EXIT. Once in this menu each press of the power button will move you along and when your on the selection you want a long press of the power button puts you there. In lock mode only draw activation works the power button becomes non functioning. Turning the device off is done with a long press of the power button when in power off setting.

The Argus Air gives the user 2 air flow settings that is adjusted by rotating the pod 180°. Here is a couple of pictures of both air flow selections. The first is a single hole and the second shows a hole along with 2 slots.







I find the Argus Air to be a very attractive lightweight device that has a semi clear pod with a nice Pod capacity and a vert easy menu system. Having a screen that has a good layout and is very bright is a big plus . I think this is really a MTL only Pod system because of the set airflow choices that are provided. Using the fixed coil pod was a great experience for me but wished for a 3rd airflow setting using the coil replaceable Pod .

Both Pods produced good flavor and have lasted a long time. I really wish this device had fully adjustable air flow because it would be almost perfect for what it's intended to be. One things for sure though the Argus Air like it's big brother is gorgeous.

Vaporesso xros is available in 6 different colors. You will receive this device in nice package with two cartridges inside which is good. Build quality of the device is good, everything is as it should be. On the device you can see "Vaporesso". This device is small, dimensions of the device are 112mm x 13mm x 23mm.




I will start with the cartridge, in the package you will receive two cartridges and cartridges are different. On the top side of the cartridge you can see the mouthpiece that you can take off, the mouthpiece is comfortable for using. Under the mouthpiece you can see the fill hole and you can really easy fill the cartridge. From the bottom of the cartridge you can see magnets and airflow holes. So cartridge stays in place because of magnets and magnets are good, cartridge stays really nice in the place. Capacity of the cartridge is 2ml which is okay capacity for pod system. You will receive this device with 0.8ohm mesh coil preinstalled and in the package you will receive 1.2ohm mesh cartridge.





From the top side of the device you can see slot for cartridge and inside you can see magnets that holds cartridge in the place, also you can see inside the connection and airflow holes. On one side of the device you can see the fire button, it is not very clicky but it works really well. So this device has the fire button that you can press in order to vape and it also has draw automatic switch which is really good because you can use both. Draw activated switch works really good and it is very responsive. Under the fire button you can see led light as battery indicator, it glows in 3 colors:

- Green: 70%-100%
- Blue: 30%-70%
- Red: 0-30%



From the other side of the device you can see the airflow control, so here you can adjust the airflow which is really good. Here you can slide the button left and right in order to adjust the airflow. In my opinion airflow system on this device is really good and I really like that we can adjust the airflow here.
This device has built in battery with 800mah capacity which is great capacity for this device. From the bottom of the device you can see usb c port which is really good, you will use this port to charge the battery. This device with 0.8ohm mesh coil works at 16w and with 1.2ohm mesh coil it works at 11w.






My thoughts:

Vaporesso xros is a small pod system and this device is comfortable for using. You can buy this device in 6 different colors which is good. Package is good, you will receive two cartridges inside. Build quality of the device is good, everything is as it should be if you ask me. Cartridge stays in place really well, it is transparent which is good because you can see eliquid inside. Capacity of the cartridge is 2ml which is good capacity for small pod system. The mouthpiece is comfortable for using and I really like top fill here, you can easy fill the cartridge, all you need to do is to pull the mouthpiece here.
On one side of the device you can see the fire button that you can use to vape and also we have draw activated switch that performs really well. This device has built in battery, this battery has 800mah capacity which is good capacity for small pod system. Also we have here usb type c port for charging the battery. This device has adjustable airflow which is really good, on one side you can see the button that you can slide left or right to adjust the airflow. You can really simple adjust the airflow here. When you open airflow you can have restrictive dl draw and when you close it almost completely you can have really tight mtl draw. This device performs really well with both coils from the package, flavor is really well. I use 1.2ohm coil with airflow almost closed and flavor is really good. I use 0.8ohm coil with airflow fully open for restrictive dtl draw, flavor is also very good. Personally I like more 1.2ohm coil because it is better for mtl and tight airflow in my opinion. When you close the airflow with 0.8ohm coil you can expect warmer vape. In my opinion xros is one really good pod system, it has everything that you need and if you want to buy pod system, you should consider this one.


Cons:

- There is really nothing to complain about this pod system, it is really good device, but if I have to pick anything, I can say that it would be nice to have replaceable coils, not really a con

I have been reading through this thread because of what is going to happen on Sept 9th 2020 and how it is going to effect buying my favorite flavors online. I will have to go the DIY route. However, I have seen lots of threads talking about flavor concentrates being purchased online from different sources. I realise that a concentrate is not an e liquid. It is used to flavor e liquids. Are these going to be banned or be subject to the pmta rules and cost to these online suppliers?
My tastes are pretty simple. I like a raspberry and cake and strawberry and cake flavor, a lemon tart flavor and halo's Tribeca (which I will still be able to buy) and halo's menthol v (need to make my own menthol flavor now). It seems these flavor concentrates are more than just pg, vg, and flavoring like a strawberry flavor. These concentrates seem to be put together using a lot of different things.

-this was my daily carry and shows signs of use, Finish is worn in some areas and there have been a couple short drops but everything functions perfectly and no drops have affected the way the panels sit (no rocking or clicking)
There is a concave button installed but I have the original flat, as well as the occ adapter with a few boxes of coils and the flush nut adapter. Boro tank seals are good but it could probably use another cleaning.
Should be noted that I’ve only changed buttons and have never tampered with the internals. All is original.

Introduction

Steam crave are best known for their high quality, large capacity RTA's and RDTA's featuring multiple airflow options, versatility, and multi deck options but here we have something quite different in the form of an Authentic MTL RTA!

Quite some difference in size from the original 30mm in diameter DL Glaz RTA but with the same exceptional build quality and see through glass chamber. It has the option of extending from 2ml to 5ml and features an easy build single coil deck and equally uncomplicated airflow system. This has been out since the end of 2019 but for those not familiar with it the Glaz Mini MTL RTA is more than worth a good look!

Aesthetics

The Glaz Mini MTL RTA comes in cardboard flip open packaging with viewing window which Steam Crave tanks usually come in so the RTA can be viewed without opening the box. I received the Stainless Steel version, it's available in Stainless Steel, Black or Gunmetal, all versions have a two piece 510 drip tip up top which comprises of a Delrin tip and Stainless Steel bottom section which features heat sink fins.

The tank has two looks depending on if the metal extension is fitted which adds more metal to the upper section with carved branding and makes it quite a tall MTL RTA. The other look and how the Tank is pre-assembled makes it a stumpy RTA with narrow glass section and knurled base and top-cap which gives good grip for removing the base, turning the AFC and removing the top-cap to fill with juice.

The knurled AFC has a single 1.6mm airflow hole and the tanks main aesthetic feature is the glass chamber so the build is visible during use. Moving to the base we have a protruding 510 and both etched branding and safety marks. The overall build quality including machining, threading and tolerances are up to the usual Steam Crave exceptional standards!

What You Receive?

You receive the Glaz Mini pre-assembled in 2ml mode which includes a 2 piece 510 drip tip so you can use your own if you prefer. You also receive a metal tank extension which takes the capacity from 2ml to 5ml and both a spare glass chamber and outer glass tube. Finally you receive spare 0-rings, grub screws and a T-piece tool but sadly no coils or cotton which is a con for me as i believe any RTA should come with what you need to do at least one build.

It's Various Parts!

Starting up top as mentioned we have a 2 piece 510 drip tip which consists of a Delrin tip which screws into the Stainless Steel bottom section which is a standard 510 fitting and has heat sink fins. The top-cap has knurling for good grip and needs unscrewing to reveal 4 fill slots which are all quite narrow so a bit of patience is needed when filling. I prefer quicker access when filling but because the Glaz Mini has an extension piece which can be screwed on this needs to share the same threading as the top-cap so it's not practical to have the much preferred bayonet style fitting.

We have a Stainless Steel frame which holds all the glass sections in place that unscrews from the fill plate which includes a small chimney and Stainless Steel ceiling of the chamber. The rest of the chamber is a glass tube which looks just like a standard glass tube but very small, this fits to the ceiling and both it and the outer glass section is held in place by the Stainless Steel frame when screwed back onto the fill plate.

We then have the base section with floating deck and AFC ring which has knurling that matches the knurling of the top-cap.

Extension Section

Included is an extension metal tank section which takes the capacity to 5ml. To fit simply unscrew the top-cap and screw the extension piece in place which also houses an extension to the fill ports and chimney, the top-cap then screws onto the extension!

The Airflow

Steam Crave with their DL RTA's and RDTA's are known for their multiple airflow options but on the Glaz Mini MTL RTA it's a simple design of airflow outlets directly underneath where the coil will be positioned and single hole airflow control via the airflow control ring.

The airflow control ring has a 1.6mm hole which can be lined up with either a 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm or 1.6mm airflow hole for draws of various restriction. The air is then fed underneath the deck and up through the four 0.8mm outlets underneath the coil.

RTA's that use inserts directly underneath the coil usually include what they call a split airflow with 2 smaller outlets rather than 1, i always find this the best insert to use as it gives a much smoother draw. The 4 outlets on the Glaz Mini is the same concept but 4 outlets rather than 2 should really give this a super smooth draw!

The Deck And Build

The Glaz Mini has a simple deck design with 2 posts facing each other which use the screw heads as clamps which gives the added benefit of having larger screw heads than other designs so much less fiddly to unscrew and screw down when fixing your coil leads in position. We have channels with a port towards the bottom of each positioned centrally to feed the cotton placed in the channels and the airflow outlets underneath where the coil will be positioned i have already described.

Loosen the screw heads (phillips) and then just slip your leads in place (they will slide between the side lip and screw head). Position the coil centrally over the airflow outlets and fasten the screws down tight, the side lips will stop the leads popping out and help trap them under the screw head. Then just use a coiling rod or fit for purpose tool to position the coil exactly where you want it and then check the screws are still fastened tight and then snip the access. When positioning your coil you want it a good 2mm above the outlets to give the air chance to spread out for complete coverage and the extra height will also help reduce the chamber encouraging flavour further!





Wicking is easy just don't over-pack the wicking channels with cotton. I cut my cotton bow tie length, fluffed up and then just placed in the top of the channels so when e-liquid is added gravity will lower the cotton to fill the channels but not densely so won't suffocate the flow of e-liquid allowing more efficient wicking!




With build completed the base section can be screwed back onto the main body of the RTA, unscrew the top-cap and fill!

How It Vapes, And Thoughts!

I am loving this RTA and really only have a couple of quite petty cons which i will get out the way first. The fill ports are quite narrow so you do need to take your time when filling and the only other con is the fact no coils and cotton are included in the box. For a MTL tank it's quite thirsty and i find i am filling often but then that's my choice as there is the option of using the extension section but i just prefer the look in 2ml mode and quite happily fill more often to keep it in that mode especially as i am experiencing zero issues with flooding or leaking after filling which can be an issue with some atty's.

Other pros apart from the expected high quality machining and threading is the fact it can be extended to 5ml, the drip tip i really like and is a standard 510 fitting and most of all the tolerance of the airflow control ring allows it to be adjusted with ease while the RTA is on your device.

Steam Crave's large DL tanks have always surprised me by how quiet they are so it was no surprise that the Glaz Mini is silent, you could vape this in church! If you like a loose MTL draw or you even use a loose MTL tank to get a very restricted direct lung draw then forget this, it's one for the MTL connoisseurs. Fully open it gives a mid MTL draw but then can be adjusted to give a medium tight, tight or super tight draw depending on your preference.

The 4 way split airflow outlets really deliver as the airflow is silky smooth across the board and the flavour i have been experiencing is as good as anything i have vaped but then so many new RTA's are now delivering great flavour but this is right up there with the best!

One observation. On one of the websites I was asked whether 21 or older to enter. Filled my cart and at checkout age verification (00/00/0000) was again asked for. Was told shipping and billing addresses had to match, no PO boxes, and that my birthdate had to match my credit card info. I think this clearly illustrates that the measures can be in place to curb teen vaping.

Also I'd like to talk about that last flavor I ordered. It is Kentucky bourbon, almond Amaretto, vanilla and coconut. It is aged 2 months in oak barrels. Hi, new member here, happy vaping peeps!!

Hi guys I'm looking for a new RTA for work. I work in construction sector, constantly up and down the ladders, climbing scaffoldings, kneeling down, bending down etc.

Vape HAS TO BE in my pocket all the time. Sometimes I put it down in the area where I work. Both resulted in me dropping the mod or knocking it over multiple times. RDA's with squonk mods I've used so far aren't really working too well in this situation- squonk mods won't last very long, and squonking gets messy.

I've tried vandy vape berserker mini recently, plus silicone band and drip tip cap, with a smok mod + silicone sleeve: these work great. But I have a feeling that sooner or later I'll drop it an the glass will smash. Also sometimes I just don't want to do mtl and want something more powerful.

So the RTA I'm looking for: 23-25mm, short (has to fully fit in my pocket), DL or RDL
Glass has to be hidden under metal, like in Brunhilde RTA or Peacemaker RTA.
I don't care if it's hard to build, I also don't care whether it has a single or double coil deck configuration. I would prefer to be able to use my own drip tip with it, 810 or 510, because then I can use metal drip tip- I already broke 2 resin drip tips at work, had to vape directly from berserker mini top cap the other day, not fun...
