Awesome! thank you. Thats about how mine looked but I always saw myself tilting the reo to ensure the wicks get juice as the ends didnt touch the deck.

Will try it on the cyclone now as the cotton is ready to be replaced anyways.

Maybe I leave it a hint longer to get more surface area to cover we shell see how it goes.

No reason to tilt, it's not a genesis- but wick it right and it's fantastic!

haha never owned a genesis. Never appealed to me. Since my wick wasn't touching the deck I just tilted it when the juice came up on the deck to hit the wick. I just leave it a hint longer than last time. Yours looks actually perfect. I think I just left it way short.

Ok... So old broad... What if I sent you a working coil with ready wick? Just screw it in, and use?

Aww! That's so sweet! But then you'd have to make the setups for the rest of my life:facepalm: it's alright, I'm happy with my little ole cotton.

I swear..Reo peeps are amazing!

Does anyone have a picture of your build with readyxwick on a Rebuildable? I am wondering how long I should leave the ends. Sometimes I leave it too short that it doesnt even touch the deck so I was wondering how long you guys leave yours to get the ideal vape for yourself.

Short answer: It's ideal if the open ends of the wick are touching juice. It's a hose, not a doughnut.

:D

Ceramic braid doesn't permeate as well as other wick materials. It's very tight and directional. Far more so than Eko which has good directional properties. It loves to be submerged and in something like an Oddy or Protank can be short and limited to the edge of the cup. In a genny, I like to leave some extra so I can just pull it up and snip the dirty zone (after a brief dry burn). Back in business in a heartbeat. You can snake the "slim" or 2mm braid under your coil in a small dripper extending the number of pulls before dripping again. The 116 tends to get a bit chocked if you try to do that due to its more substantial wall thickness. It depends on your layout and coil set. Drippers with wells are ideal for verticals with braid and more length just makes them easier to enjoy with Nextel.

Good luck.

:)

Yes, and it worked quite well. I'm at work right now or I would provide picks. 1/16th bit with the XC132 (or the 2mm thin ReadyWick) threaded through. I don't know about other flavors but the Origin V2 tastes great with heat favoring juices like NET's. The flavor with the XC was off the charts yummy. My only complaint is you waste juice doing dry burns due to the size of the drip well.

Origin V2 with XC132. It worked quite well like this but I think the next time I hook this puppy up I'm going with straight stacks with open ends like FB's example. Like a Genny with no deck.

Pretty dozen on that micro pup. I'd be tempted to double that up, drop it down to one Ω and put more hooks in the water.

But I'm sure she's sweet.

For anyone having trouble getting the ReadyXWick to properly work for them, this may help....

here is one thing that I have come to learn about making the ReadyXWick work for me....

I am using the last of my 3mm now and here is how I made it work for me:

I took a Q-Tip and cut one end off with scissors.
I then wrapped 28 gauge wire around the shaft of the Q-Tip.
I mounted the coil onto my RM2 posts.
I cut the one end of the wick on a slant and screwed it into the coil.
Now, the wick gets a bit choked in there because the wick and the coil are basically the same size, so...
I took hold of one or two strands of the wick and pulled them out. This made the wick a touch smaller in diameter.
Lastly, I unfolded a large paperclip and ran it through the center of the wick to open up the hollow core.
Squonk and wait 5 minutes for juice to soak in.
Vape.
It wasn't great for the first 15 minutes of vaping, but then once the wick became accustomed to being wet, it started being really good.

Hey, it's worth a try since it is currently working for me.

I'm sure you've already tried it, but the key pointer for me was taping the end. I put the tape on the end, then make the cut at a sharp angle, and then slide the angled piece through the coil. I then peel the tape off the coil and enjoy.

Well...I give up. I've tried for quite a while to make a decent coil/wick and it's been a dismal failure for me, so i've gone back to my tried n true...and simple n easy.... CVS cotton. I guess i'm not the fiddlin type...quick n easy for me. I even bought an Artistic coil gizmo i was so sure I could conquer my ineptitude:facepalm:

I've wasted a lot of wire and RxW! And I still have over 5 ft. of the stuff! And I'm too clumsy handed to use the gizmo...woe is me....

live n learn i guess....

I knew I read it somewhere but that it hadn't sunk in at the time. I will go back and try it on a micro coil and see how I like it. When I first started using xc-132 I was a micro coil only person and tried spaced on a whim and found it worked better, but opening up center might change that.

I've tried and open the center after inserting the wick makes a big difference. I'm back to micro coils. Have converted 3 of my RBAs so far.

I'm using both spaced and non spaced coils. Both seem to work well for me. I do like your sugestion of running the small mandril through the center and I like it. Definitely allows better wicking.

Also for those building a new wick and coil. After inserting the wick I saturate the wick/coil and burn. I do that a few times. Then I put the cap on the RDA and the wick is ready to go. No waiting or soaking time. This comes right from the Ready Wick website.
