Battery Revival

So, I always used to use mech mods from about 6 months to a year and a half into vaping. For the last 6 months I've been on regulated (iStick 30W and 50W).

When I switched to regulated I retired my mech mods and 18650 batteries to the closet. I made sure they were all around 50% charged because I heard from someone on here that was the best condition to leave them.

Well recently I've had this curiosity to try them again, only for at home use, mainly for the novelty of it.

So, my question is, what will I have to do to revive these batteries? Are they safe to just throw back on the charger and use when fully charged? Or are they not safe to use?

Batteries: 4 Sony VTC 4's (all were acquired about a month before I stopped using mechs), 2 XTAR (Sony) VTC 4's (about a year old now) , 2 MXJO 2500mah (20A LG's) (about a year old now).

What are they reading at for volts? As far as i know they should be good, I know there are quite a few warehouses that let batteries sit for very long.

Depends, how low did they get, and does your charger have the cycle for over discharged cells ( all xtar do)

In most cases they should be ok

Thanks guys. I have the Nitecore Intellicharger i4 and listed as one of its features is:

• Automatically detects battery status and selects the appropriate voltage and charge mode

All Batteries are between 3.0V and 3.6V.

I would take a reading make sure they did not drop below 3.2 and charge them up.

Sounds good, there are two batteries that did drop below 3.2. I'll dispose of them! Thank you veddy much!!!

3.0 is fine. typically they are good to 2.7 with many brands to 2.5.

Heck if 3.0 was bad I'd have to toss batteries all the time for running too low in my mech

Thanks everyone! Got a VTC4 charged up slapped it into my 4Nine Prime topped with a Hobo V2.1 built to 0.28Ω. Shesa vapin' veddy nice!
