Just got my joyetech ego AIO kit today and primed the coil and took a lot of puffs with no power. Was using it for a bit and not really getting flavor (nice vapor though) and set it down. Picked it up for a fairly decent drag and BURNT already! So bummed as I don't know what I did wrong. Have one coil left, primed it and just letting it sit not touching it. I'm afraid to use it now because I don't have any more coils yet. I'm a MTL so this is a new experience for me with a low ohm and the heat of it. Any suggestions?

Also if I get the 1.5 coils for it will it automatically adjust to the coil as far as it firing? It comes with .6 coils. Should I just stay with those?

Essentially what you purchased is an UN regulated mechanical mod, meaning the coil dictates the wattage output, which means right now your producing with a fresh charge about 29 watts down to 17 watts as the battery charge diminishes, with a 1.5 ohm coil you would start with about 11 watts and will have a slower "ramp up time" to heat the coil and produce less vapor

Can I use the Clapton coils even though it's not ss?

I would say you could, reason being that mod does not support temp control wire / coils, so it's either SS or kanthal, just not to sure how long the clapton will last as far as gunking up vs the SS 1.0 ohm

Damn girl, I hate that your having such bad luck with those coils, soak one of those coils or both in some pure grain alcohol liquor for a couple hours, stir it around occasionally during and blow through it and let it dry overnight, may not help but couldn't hurt to try.Do you have another tank to use or visit a vape shop and buy a cheapie for now ?
Start saving your money ?, this is what the 1.5 notch "clapton" coil was designed for Joyetech Cuboid Mini 80W Full Kit - $47.49

Ya no, if you've got a back up toss those puppies, me I would pull out the coil / wick in one and verify just how burnt it really is .........
I've seen worse, not sure on this.
