Correct me if I'm wrong Tom but isn't the powdercoat super durable?

Powder coat is very durable but can suffer if exposed to blunt force drama. It can also pick up swirl marks although not that easily. With that being said, keep it polished with a good hard wax and the look of the finish can be unbelievable in the depth of color.

I am new to temperature control. I have started my education on TC and the dna 200 by reading as much as I can about it. I have some SS 316L wire already. Are there any other recommendations for coil wire that i should try? What wire types are the preset profiles based on in the LBC?

You might get some wonky readings in TC mode with SS wire. It works fine, but the readings jump around a bit. I like working with SS much better than Ni, SS doesn't get overheated, and my coils last longer. Plus, you can dry burn SS. I never could get all the buildup off the Ni wire with water unless I cleaned it every two days.

Oh, I didn't know you couldn't dry burn Ni. I dry burn and change wicks everyday. But I can make whatever adjustments I need to. I always just skipped over Ni coil info so I have to go back and re-learn some stuff. Seems kind of foreign with Ni and NiFe.

So far I'm lovin this Goon. I think if you like a Stumpy you will like this. I usually run the Stumpy w/ a center coil with one hole open on each side. I have slightly less than 2 open for this single & it's pretty close to that.

Until I received the Goon (22 black) I was a YUGE fan of the Stumpy. Have four (4) of'em.

Today a SS Goon should arrive and I am already thinking of getting a third.

I run in dual NiFe48 (Alloy52) under TC. Spectacular!

Yep. That's my next build in this. Duals for TC. Don't have any NiFe yet so I'm going to use 430ss. I just had these claptons & it was quick. TC is all I use my Stumpys for & I believe this will be just as good

2 presets of each type of wire 2 SS profiles, 2 NiFe30, 2 Ti profiles and 2 default nickel profiles.
