I wish all the mod and tank makers would retire the 510 connection and go to the ego threads. They are much more stable and less apt to be stripped when used a lot.

The (near?) future will see the demise of the 510 connection. It was designed for cigalikes and is really not appropriate for anything larger than an eGo. eGo threads will not be the answer either. I think the future will bring a sturdy, multi-circuit (4+) connection to support new technologies. There will be 510 adapters available for use with our existing atomizers. I think we'll see the first change in connector with Innokin's forthcoming iTC.

I'd love to see it! It seems that a lot of the problems people have with mods are stripped threads and poor connections. That should be an easy problem to fix with a different type of connection.

the only problem here - burn's tank threads are failing not the threads in the istick. and since the tank has to be filled from the bottom there is no way to avoid unscrewing which will lead to a complete thread failure sooner or later :(

I understand, but I was thinking that the AFC can be attached to the tank semi permanently. When the tank needs to be removed from the battery, one just needs to unscrew the AFC (with the tank still attached) rather than the tank alone. Not an ideal situation, I admit, but doable.

I forgot to post this last weekend but I wanted to show you all my new shirt. I'm sure Nanny and IMRs will like it! I took this at the store because I couldn't decide on the blue, pink, green or the orange. I bought this orange one but in a medium. They were on sale for half price.

LOVE IT!! The grands came home from Myrtle Beach with two tie dyed souvenir shirts each -- so cute.

We are a quiet bunch today!

Does anyone know if Sweet-Vapes is having a Father's Day sale?
I would say NO on a sale for Sweet Vapes, too, Alden. I have no email from them about one lately. There will probably be a 4th of July sale soon, though.

Good to know about a sale from sweet-vapes. Keep my fingers crossed. I want to grab a few more airs. I experienced my first thread problem last night. I guess I use this one tank more than the others. I keep a menthol always on hand for flavor fatigue.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.

Hi Airheads,
Raining like mad all day here. Needed but unwelcome. Much prefer tropical style storms...lots of rain in a hurry, then sunshine. They told me Maine was tropical...just after I gave them the down payment for that bridge in Brooklyn...

Anyone care to play Wishlist?

OK. Mine has...
Sweet-vapes discount coupon good for more than juice, +
- two or three more GS Airs
- two or three more GS Air M's, not MS's
- a blue and a purple Cool Fire IV
- a selection of Defender 50watts, with the removable battery.
- Working hands, so I might try rebuilding coils (they work, but go numb from pulling weeds)
- Something other than my feet to amuse the three-legged cat between midnight and 4am

Edit: I do not need the Cool Fire. I don't like Innokin's control schemes. But they look good.
Pps- Heatvape Defender

EDIT. ... DO NOT USE THIS VENDOR WITHOUT REFERENCE CHECKS! 50W VV / VW Variable Wattage GearBest. $46, battery NOT included.

Get a simple Kuro coiler. I have this one--a Tobeco 1:1 clone with removable rod and it's the easiest coiler on this planet. I only use the 2.5mm rod--works well with all my RBAs, or you may also get a 2 mm version for your Airs. It works with 28 and 29 gauge wire--30 gauge may be too thin.

Tobeco Kuro Coil Jig

Coil purists may tell you that is doesn't make tensioned coils, which is true, but honestly, it's so convenient that i don't care. Watch some YT videos to learn how to use it correctly.

Happy Father's Day to y'all!

I bought a coiling jig..the girl at the shop showed me how to use it to make coils. I made 2 pretty ones at the shop. Got it home and can't make a decent coil on it to save myself!! I've looked at YouTube video after YouTube video and still can't figure out what I'm doing wrong at home. I always go back to grabbing my 16 gauge needle and using it. The girl at the shop says my wire(I use 28 and 29 gauge) is too thin and that's the problem. No one else seems to have this problem! Ay yi yi....

Which one did you get? I have the Kuro and, honestly, I can make coils now with my eyes closed... And I use the 29 and 28 g exclusively. Takes a little practice maybe--don't push too hard, just enough to keep the coils touching, finger tight.

Nothing wrong with the needle, BTW. I just find the coiler ridiculously easy.

I totally agree. Those tiny 510 threads were designed for tiny and light cartos. They can't handle our big and heavy and much wider in diameter tanks (cartos were 9 mm in diameter--tanks are 19-23 mm). The 510 connection needs to be redesigned, eventually, to accommodate new devices.

Thank you, Katya. Between you, Lynn and S.d for inspiration, and the Zen CoilMaster of the desert for instruction, I might be getting close to falling to the dark side. And then Bike can explain what I've done wrong! And why!!
