Hey guys - still lovin my Arabic though I have changed up the recipe and settled in for this one below...one of my 3 main ADVs and since getting the Spheroid v4 this flavor has not left the tank. It amazes me over and over again when I change tanks/atties how a flavor can become a new experience. The Spheroid brings out a warmth to juices I can not reproduce in other atties. I'm not talking about heat - or sub-ohm'in, dual coil'in, fancy twisted braided double back-flip ZZTop builds - warmth - like that yumminess that is in the middle of a chocolate cake that is undercooked and gooey - that kinda warmth!

Anywho...so I found I have Tobacco Absolute Virginia WG-INW

Does this need to be diluted as in 10% dilution that I see talked about around here? I thought that was for some tobacco paste or something. This looks like normal flavoring.

Very possible I have asked this before but I need to mix up some juice for a few folks trying to kick the habit and while looking through my stash I came across this flavor and thought they may like it.

On topic post

My ADV Arabic

Arabic 3.3%
DX Peanut Butter TFA 1% (I like this profile better than the regular peanut butter but you can sub it if you like)
DX Brown Sugar 2% (sometimes I get froggy and go 3% - Arabic can take it as it is very strong)

I don't steep this but if you do it mellows very nicely after about a month.

It's ready to use. Use it like any other flavor. No diluting nessessary.

A few thoughts on flavors I got recently from BCV (or, BCF now ... I guess we'll have to start getting used to that). All are still young, so take it for what it's worth.

SC Cohiba - ordered on recommendation from you good folks, and a worthy addition it is. I like this. I don't think I like it as much as some, but it's definitely one for the rotation. Nice relatively dry cigar flavor. Mixed it at 3 percent, wanted a bit more. Added to get around 4 percent and it's nice.

SC Old Captain - got this on a whim. Thought just maybe it would be similar to Hangsen's Elder Captain. It's not. What it is might really thrill a handful of you though. I have almost no doubt whatsoever that this is the base flavor for Nicoticket's The Virus. It's close to identical in flavor, to me. Again, I mixed at 3 percent and ended up adding to get to 4 percent. If you gave this to me blind and asked me to ID it, I'd tell you without hesitation that it's The Virus. Which makes it just a touch on the sweet side for my taste, but a nice rounded flavor nonetheless.

SC French Pipe - another one I grabbed on recommendation. And another one I'm fairly certain I've tasted before. This one has to have been the base for the now defunct Bionic Vapor's Countryside. The flavor is very strong. It also leaves a room note unlike most eliquid. I like bold, strong, distinct flavors, as a rule. This one, however, has just a bit of a cloying note that turns me off. I don't dislike the taste, but the smell of that room note doesn't thrill me. I don't see this one entering the regular rotation.

Black Cherry for Pipe - I ordered this one knowing I probably wouldn't like it. It's just not my thing. BUT, I've enjoyed every other For Pipe flavor that I've ordered, so I wanted to give it a shot. And guess what? I was right. Not for me. The cherry is not understated AT ALL. I can't get cough medicine out of my mind. I even mixed this 1 part to 3 parts with Captain Jack, and the cherry was still way too much and too medicinal.

FA Burley - Mixed at 3 percent, upped to 4, upped to 5. Just not doing much of anything for me. Seems like a dull, uninspired tobacco flavor with almost no nuance whatsoever.

FA Clove - Thought I might try adding a bit of clove to a tobacco vape (Captain Jack) for an interesting twist. Bad idea. This stuff is rat nasty. Run, don't walk, away from this flavor.

I just put my second order in so I'll have something to work with besides the basics. I've tried to sweeten the RY4 flavor by adding extra carmel, it softened the tobacco taste but I don't think it was sweeter, I also tried adding maple flavor to the RY4 both failed as far as I'm concerned but I'm smoking the mixture to reuse the bottles. I should probably try mixing the flavors in e liquid, (PG, VG and nicotine) and try that rather than mixing the flavors into the tobacco mixture.

Perhaps tobacco flavors just aren't for you? RY4 is about as sweet as they come. If you still want sweeter, maybe bakery type flavors would be more your thing? It seems like you're trying to mask the tobacco flavors with sweetness anyway.

The RY flavors from hangsen are not your typical RY4 flavors such as RY4D. They follow the hangsen tradition of true tobacco taste and not the candyish RY4 vapes of today. If your looking for the ultra sweet ry4 then TFA RY4D is what your after. Hangsens ry4 is based on the original Runyon formula of 8 - 10 years ago.

Well, I didnt know that! That makes sense now - guess that's why I had the peanut butter and AP to cut the sweetness of the RY4 from TFA. I need to try the Hangsen now.

I did notice that the website I use carries Hangsen RY1 to RY4 flavoring. I did notice that Capella is never mentioned here but I just noticed there is no tobacco listed for them at that website. I also noticed the RY4 liquid which is clear is not discoloring to a brown which has happened to premade liquid that I used and it's about a months time.

It's strange how the mix percentages have to be arrived at through experimentation. I understand that personal preference is involved. Three days ago I mixed up 6 more bottles of FA and HS tobacco flavors. I adjusted mixes from previous batches based on comments by posters with experience.

5 of the 6 turned pale to medium gold/yellow after 2 or 3 days, but the HS Turkish Blend is still clear, mixed at 7%. That one may require more steeping time or some additional added flavor. I may have to bump to 10%.

It's hard to figure out the optimum percentages for all these flavors.

I'm using Liquid Food Flavoring & Flavor Concentrate by Flavor Apprentice | E-Liquid Flavoring
I originally had a problem with age verification so I called the order in, that's okay now. There is also a link in this thread that looks good but I'll probably stay with this one. They are located in the eastern time zone which I am and delivery was quick.
I have the Ejuice me up calculator and in Program Flies (x86) it places file Breaktru Software which has a long list of recipes that can open with notepad.

:?:
Inawera Cavendish...

Arrived today from BCV. Mixed at 3% 50/50 12mg. Filled a Kabuki straight away and gave it a toot.

WHOA! This is something special. Equal parts funky fermented Latakia tobacco, dried stone fruit, molasses and smoky ash.

I can't wait to see what a few days rest will give.

Dark For Pipe: meet your challenger.
Sounds delish so on the list it goes.

I also learned something new. The article said "Peaches, nectarines, plums, apricots, and cherries are all members of the Prunus genus and are therefore closely related. They commonly are referred to as "stone fruits" because the seed is very large and hard."

It said "commonly" so I guess I should have know that, but I didn't lol.

Has anybody tried the Nude Nicotine tobaccos? I just got Menthol Tobacco, Island Tobacco, Honey Tobacco, and BRY4. I now wish I'd have bought the regular tobacco as well, so I'd have a point of departure for these other blends. I'll pick some up.

The menthol tobacco is very good shake and vape. I used 3%. No problems there, nice smooth, mellow menthol (I might even like a touch more) and the tobacco's great.

The others have been more tricky. These are supposed to be VG based concentrates, but I wouldn't have guessed that based on their viscosity in the vials. They are so thin that I suspect a lot of Ethyl alcohol is involved, which would explain the harshness issues I'm having.

The Honey Tobacco, flavor wise it seems great if you like this profile. I dig the tobacco element, but now that I've tried a few honey tobaccos, I've learned it's just not a flavor I can ever learn to like. Unfortunate, since this is the flavor NN sent me a double quantity of (30 ml) to make up for a shipping delay. (My honey tobaccos including this one are up for swappers, if anyone's interested.) I tried at 2.5% and it was way harsh. Poured another approx. 5 mls into the 10 ml sample, (stupidly didn't measure, I probably diluted it down to around 1%) and it was vapeable, though still rather harsh on the throat. What remains of it is sitting now.

Island Tobacco, I'll not try to describe this flavor till I get the issues ironed out, but suffice to say I like it. It too was way harsh at 2%. Made a new batch at 0.75%, let it sit overnight uncapped, and it tastes great. Unfortunately, it's still harsh. Gives me the sensation that my throat is trying to convulse closed around it. Seems like I'll be waiting a long steep time for this to mellow out to where it's vapeable for me.

BRY4, this flavor is...strange. It's supposed to be RY4 with mixed berries. I taste and smell the berries but I'm having trouble picking out the RY4. Again, my first attempt at 2% was throat clenchingly harsh. Also a bit of an "off" aroma coming from the atty. Not sure what it is...it's not pleasant.

Anybody who can educate me on how to use these NN flavors? :)

Sc old captain,inawera Cavendish,FA tirumusu,inawera garuda,inawera am4a
+1 on the garuda and am4a. Both delish. :vapor:
Also +1 on the tirumusu. It's good on it's own and mixes well with several other recipes. Looking forward to your thoughts on all these.
