"You're telling us that you don't like the tobacco taste,"
I like the tobacco taste and want to stay with it, so far the RY4 is my favorite although I did find I'd like it smoother.
"I'd suggest going with bakery flavors instead." When I think of bakery I think of cakes, pies and cookies which I like but don't want to get them involved in my vaping.
It's been about a months time and I decided to open up the tank and look at the coils, they still function well but I may as well replace them. I'm using a different tank with the same liquid but there is less flavor.

Yum that sounds like..well...heaven?
Is it a robust manly tobacco?
It's a bold pipe tobacco with notes of oak and molasses (many get rum but I get molasses, which is a fine distinction, I suppose). It's very deep, complex, and Earthy. It is most definitely a big boy tobacco. ;)

Yes, sounds like time for a coil change. Nothing tastes great on gunky coils.

Hey guys,
A buddy at work let me drip some of his Hurricane twilight cavendish and I loved it.
Was a nice strong cigar/pipe tobacco flavor with hints of sweetness and oak.

Hurricane is out of business and I would like to recreate a similar type of tobacco juice.
Could anybody help me out with the type of tobaccos that would give me a good base and starting point?

Ive been searching for hours and days and cant find any recipes. I know space jam eclipse uses TFA western (cowboy) as a main tobacco base flavor.... I know twilight cavendish and space jam eclipse are different but just ordered Inawera cavendish, TFA western, and Black honey.
Not sure if I can get a close tobacco by using these or a combination but thats what Ill have to work with as far as tobacco flavors go besides double ry4.

I was thinking maybe 3% cavendish, 1% western, 3% vanilla swirl, 1% toasted almond, 1% oak wood, .5% EM

Anybody have any suggestions or opinions? I havnt made much tobacco DIY juices but really have the taste for a strong, dry, somewhat sweet complex cigar-like vape.

Thanks!

Hey guys can anyone help this guy out. It was recommended he post his question in this thread and thus far he's been mostly ignored. Let's show this guy some tobacco thread hospitality here. I myself have no experience with Cavendish tobacco.

It's not a lack of love, just a pretty specific request that probably none of us can address.

I'm sure that's the issue. I haven't seen much talk on Cavendish but I'm sure someone will be around to answer shortly. There has been some discussion on oak barrel cured flavoring like in this thread that should be a close fit based on the description of the mix (strong cigar/pipe tobacco flavor with hints of sweetness and oak).

How To: DIY Oak Barrel Reserve

Sounds like a matter of finding the right tobacco flavor and aging it in oak.

+1 on the garuda and am4a. Both delish. :vapor:
Also +1 on the tirumusu. It's good on it's own and mixes well with several other recipes. Looking forward to your thoughts on all these.

Ah JD I haven't got around to tasting anything but the SC captain...I've been super busy and by the time I have some down time I'm just wore slap out..tomorrow I will have some reviews and notes and thoughts on the flavors I mentioned..thank you btw for wanting to hear them :)

Nope I'm sitting at 4. Are you liking 6 better? Feels pretty robust at 4 but maybe I'll try a bump to see....

I actually diluted a little bit of mine 50/50 so 2% total and it's a completely different flavor..I'm getting a way more simple tobacco at 2% but the flavor is still there..you have to try it man..I think your 100% right on the virus

No problem....yea, it is a long shot request I guess but- If anyone who has tried hurricane twilight cavendish, and might know a good base tobacco flavor to use, id love to hear your thoughts....
Thanks

I replied in your thread, but Inawera's Cavendish may be a good starting point. I discovered it a couple weeks ago and have really been enjoying it. What I get is funky Latakia tobacco, molasses, dried stone fruit and a touch of ash after the exhale. If this sounds anything like the liquid you're trying to recreate, it's a great base to start with.

I have mixed Inawera's Cavendish with a bit of Elder Captain and RY4, both with great results.

I'm not at home and didn't have access to my computer files to share a recipe with you. Did a Google search just now and my post came up on the VU forum. I really enjoy this one.......and agree, it is something nice.

Black Fire VZ #9
*VZ French Pipe, 7.00%,
*VZ Old Captain, 4.00%,
*FA Blackfire, 2.00%,
From Cyrus Vap on the VZ thread. He said it was "something nice".

OK so I think I'm on to something:

2% Hangsen Desert ship
2% FA Desert ship
2 drops per 10ml bitter wizard
2 drops per 10ml A.P.

Not bad, it's a little more robust than the Hangsen alone, not nearly as floral as the FA alone. Gonna play a bit with this one.

Maybe a dash of Hangsen Arabic in there?

Have all of this so I gave it a whirl, with SC instead of VZ (by all accounts, they're identical concentrates). Way too heavily flavored, sort of as expected. Cut everything in half, though, and it's a decent vape. The French Pipe really dominates, however. I'd almost be tempted to do something like 2 percent French Pipe, 3 percent Old Captain, 1 percent Black Fire. Would dial back what I see as overflavoring, while giving the Old Captain a chance to emerge against the more pungent French Pipe.

Thanks for the trial and comments. I'm vaping #9 as I'm writing and I enjoy it a lot. Nicely fits the whatever floats your boat category for me [emoji106]. However, I've been gone a few weeks for knee replacement, and when I get back home and mixing again, I'll give your suggestion a try. I've made hundreds of recipes in the almost 3 years I've been vaping and am always open to trying a new one.

Which brings another thought to mind. Of those hundreds of recipes, there are maybe a 1/2 dozen or so that I vape all the time, compared to smoking Camels then Camel Lights for years on end. And I don't think my vape habit is that out of the ordinary. Why is that? Seems like I really enjoy a vape and a different taste, as opposed to smoking out of habit and needing my fix. Just maybe?

I think it's a combination of getting your sense of taste back and enjoying varieity. I smoked Camels for the longest time then ryo before I started vaping, just to get that fix. I did have a pipe every now and then just to change it up and let's face it, it tasted good :D. I now have quite a few different juices I use (not all tobaccos either) to keep things interesting, and because let's face it, they taste good :D.
