Has anyone in here ever built a squonklab?

I want to build one of these, but I have never ordered from shapeways and I am curious about the quality. Does anyone have pics of a completed squonklab that that have made?

I find the position awkward for me... some are like those with it set a little off center, others are like this:

due to being almost a midget and having nerve damage and injuries, I can't press with my fingertips... but I can squeeze with the rest.

Yeah, that low squeeze location means it is my pinky finger doing the squeezing. I like the REO style with it higher on the large side. My thumb does it and then the mod slides a bit around so my thumb gets to the firing button.

lol well I'm not even 5'1" and I wear kids gloves and shoes, the bigger mods are awkward for me. I would see if you can get your hands on both types if you can, before you buy and see which you like better. they both have their merits.

My mistake, @Cheallaigh , I just looked at my REOs and the bottle opening is lower. I guess it shows how much I have been using the lately. Anyway, I had it in my hand, used my thumb to squonk and then let it slide lower in my hand so that my thumb got to the top fire button. But, I only really needed to squonk about every 3-5 vapes.

I've never ordered this specific thing, but I have ordered from shapeways before. Just repair parts for various electronics. Their quality is outstanding. Unless to get your eye 2cm from it you couldn't even see the layers. I did have an extra piece in one order, so I decided to test it's durability. I held up as well as I'd expect an injection molded piece and didn't break along a layer.

I've been eyeballing this exact item for some time. The only thing that's stopped me is it using a lipo. If he made a version that utilized dual 18650s I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat.

Might want to give this a look. It's along the same line but completed. There's no way to put together a enclosure from shapeways plus get the parts to complete it anywhere near the price. Comes with holder for dual 18650s or it can use a lipo. I'm really liking mine.

I don't mind using a lipo, that is what's in my Evo and 1300 mah lasts all day without issues. The player mod is nice, but I really want a squonk mod with a DNA 200 or 250, and the only one available right now is the lost vape Halcyon which only has a 900 mah lipo.

Note that 900mah battery is 3s. It has the same capacity as a 2700 mah single cell. More, because lipos have better discharge characteristics. It should last all day with no trouble.

Yes but my Evo has a 1300 mah 3s and is down to about 20% by the end of the day. I know a 900 mah wouldn't last a whole day.

I can kill a brown in maybe 2 hours... no lipos for me.

You would be surprised to find out how long a lipo lasts you. A 900 mah will only last most people about 4 to 5 hours, but larger lipos last quite some time. What device do typically get only 2 hours of use out of a brownie and what is your build.
