Glad to help. Those guys, along with the fine bunch here, got me started and have continued to help unselfishly with advice, suggestions, with some laughs tossed in. Several folks here have been trying different tobaccos and posting their thoughts. Drop by: Best tobacco for flavor extraction
Definitely will be stopping in! Had a quick lurk around. Noticed many seem to favor blends as opposed to single leaf. I was under the impression that single leaf extractions is the way to go but could be totally off base on that. Is there a general consensus on that? Also, do many people do extracts from whole leaf?

Anyone here got good blend recipes using NET.co. and/or MVJ single leaf extracts?

Looking to make something like GeJ Virginia and Wild Turkey (I luke a bit of their Fire Cured mixed in both)

Also BWB Virginia and Casablanca.

Also a blend like old, WWII era Camel would be nice (back when they tasted good and Doctors recommended them ;) )

At least a starting point.

I had planned to experiment in Feb/March when I get back from Afghanistan but thinking may need to stock up on extracts now. Then experiment with my own single leaf extracts when I get back.

If you want turkish try:

turkish 84 and 83 from stokkebye and from leafonly the semi oriental, the yenidje and basma. I like most the 84 and the semi oriental. They are a little bit sweeter than the other ones. My first turkish was the sun cured turkish from net.com. With the above staying tobaccos you can make the same quality and a very good taste.

Thanks for the good links folks!

Finally getting off my .... and starting a few new NET batches. These suggestions as to where to purchase really help. I've been purchasing at my local tobacconist shop for ages, 'cause I don't want to see him disappear. But, it's good to have a backup plan for quality tobacco.

Having spent the last three days vaping on some 7th Cut from NET.com has put a fire under my .... for the future.

"MyVapeJuice.com will be closing its doors August 19th

Steal Deals - Most of them are 5.99 and are really great deals on things like bottles, extracts...well you kinda have to check them out as they are changing all the time.

MVJ Bulk Bottle buys - OK if you want to talk about savings this is the place to go. These are 16oz 480ml bottles of my extracts. That works out to be 16 cents a ml. Based on mixing at 20%( which I mix my nets at) that would make 2400mls of juice. I also know the bottle holds more than 480mls so it will make more than that.

Capella & The Flavor Apprentice flavors - These are also listed at a great price. They are currently 30% off ( like everything listed in the store) but that is off my wholesale cost. You won't do better than that. You can find them in the Steals & Deals section or by clicking the link above.

CURRENT DISCOUNT CODES

  • TENMORE =10% ADDITIONAL DISCOUNT ON MVJ DIY EXTRACTS **excludes bulk bottle buys
  • GOODBUY=15% ADDITIONAL DISCOUNT ON ORDERS OF 300.00 OR MORE"

All of those are good and are worth trying. Nightcap and Mississippi are "must have". Dunhill Early Morning too. Frog Morton Cellar is a recent one I've extracted and it's very good. "English" blends are what I found I prefer. I was looking through the link @checkum posted and found this: Top 10 Best-Selling English Blends
These can also be found at P&C if you're filling a cart there.

.....from pipesandcigars? Did I miss a listing somewhere for by the oz? That would be nice to get single oz for testing purposes.

* Love the suggestions folks! Keep'em coming......putting them on my wish list for future use. :)
If you look under bulk pipe tobacco there are a ton of choices by the ounce. Sometimes you have to match up brands as they may be under a different name or number, but still it's the same tobacco as the brand name only in a baggie by the ounce instead of a tin.
Sure wish P&C sold American Spirit. Then they would get all my business. My holy grail is Esoterica Penzance which has been out of stock for ages. Not just P&C but everywhere.

Looks like it is everyone else's Holy Grail tobacco as well. I just spent 30 min looking for it on the innerwebs.....to no avail. ;) Perhaps one can find that tobacco available under the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.....and the little bugger guarding it will sell it to ya for $500 for an 2oz tin. *limit 1 per customer*
