Hello folks,This is my first post in a while,i had tons of trouble when i first started in making my own juice. Thanks for all your help as it has helped me tremendously.I started out using 100% vg base,vg based nicotine and mostly FavourArt flavors. My problem now is by not being able to use much pg due to an allergy to pg i've had to use distilled water in order to thin down the vg and get the flavor mixed in.How much distilled water to use without using too much is my question .I've also saw where northwest has some vg based flavors but am not sure how well they mix.I have learned that it is very hard to get much flavor using all vg.I have read some reviews where folks have made some great tasting juice using all vg,although i'm getting some decent stuff i definitely wouldn't call it great by no means .I've been using a sigelei 150 watt box mod and a smok tfv4 tank.I'm still hoping to find some good standalone flavors that'll mix up good.Any advice would be really appreciated and thanks again for all of your help thus far as it helped me out an awful lot.

I often thin my VG juices up to 15 percent with distilled water. I know of a few juice vendors who do the same. When using PG based flavors, I adjust the percentage of the water down based on the total ml of the PG flavoring(s). Hope this helps.

It's split between some stating the same amount and others stating a little more, but everyone agrees upon extended steeping time needed. How much flavor needed of course depends on flavor and brand. I have mostly experience with inawera and molinberry non-tobacco flavors which works fine, even standalone often, with 100% VG mixes additionally.

How much water needed depends a lot upon the viscosity of your VG which varies pretty much, but generally 5% - 10% for replicating roughly 80/20 to 60/40 VG/PG viscosities. For resemblance of 40/60 VG/PG, you can go all the way up to 15% water. Water thins approx. 4 times more than PG, so e.g. 95/5 VG/water, corresponds roughly to 80/20 VG/PG. You can use that equation to determine water amount based on preferred VG/PG viscosity ratio.

I don't think it helps with flavors diluted in VG, as it still needs to bond with all the other VG molecules and which is what takes time, but of course it doesn't hurt either...

Many with PG allergies, finds a ratio they can tolerate, as many can tolerate a little/some amount coming from the flavoring and possibly nic... PG is in practically everything, and people don't get sick there, as else they would have quite an issue, but granted, directly inhalling PG intensifies the up-take... Many of the people that state PG-allergies isn't allergic at all and suffer standard symptoms of PG like dried throat and dehydration. Real PG-allergy symptoms are hives, itching and trouble to breath...

Yeah, the griffin RTA gets good reviews from what i've seen.

Btw, I drip fulltime, but however still prefer 5% DW since it just also wicks better in a RDA like that imho... The juice still needs to travel from tails/juice-well and into coil-center i.e. wicking... Granted I don't use flavoring(or PG), so the DW is the only dilutant I use(+ VG-nic)... It's the same'ish viscosity as a 80/20 VG/PG mix.

Personally when I've wanted to thin e-liquid, I've used tap water. I can't see any argument for using distilled water. I stand in the kitchen and boil a kettle, I boil vegetables and I reduce sauces . I even stand in a small room filled with water vapour every time I take a shower. All of which have me breathing in far more fine water particles than I get from a fraction of a ml in e-liquid.

If I understand it correctly, PG and water also both reduce the vaporization temperature, and true 100% VG won't work without burning (it usually has up to 3% water in it already). Si it's not just the thickness.

I tried some Wholecig stuff, VG + 5% water, and their American Cigarette was really great, although it was probably the 25 mg WTA nicotine that made it so intense.
