Non-Resistance Wire Added To Resistance Wire...How Do I Do It?

I want to put some non-resistance wire on each end of my resistance wire so I don't get the hotspots at the connections. How do I attach the two? Be specific please as I am a bit of a novice at this type thing.

I'm curious as well. I've read about the mini arc welder, and I guess some people use torches?

does the gauge on the NR wire matter much?

i plan to rebuild my killer clone (smoktech terminator TT) with 32g nickel nr wire. i think anything bigger than that gauge will be tough to fit. im thinking even 34g might be better. is there any advantage or disadvantage to 32g vs 34g?

The size shouldn't matter as far as conductivity goes, but I find it easier to wrap wires of similar sizes.
