I'm thinking of adding one of the Erlkönigin products to my P3 topper squad. Erlprinz, probably, for starters. Greaaat taste.
Q can comment. He has at least 25 of them. Of the Erlkönigin, that is, not Erlprinz..

R
I have just one Erlkonigin, and I love it. Taste is awesome! Wicking is a bit fussier than the KFL, but once you know how it needs to be done, you're set. Just like everything else, I suppose. :).

+1 for the Erl. Long time lurker to this thread, longer term Provarinati and more recent member of the P3 club, I highly recommend the Erlk on the P3. (vape, check, yup!). I've heard good things about the Prinz too. I retired my KFL+ V2 once I got the Erlk. The Erlk is much lighter, but the air flow and flavor are what sold me. Q's bow tie wick is an easy, never fail set up. I'm a happy vaper :)

I hope you enjoy the movie!

I did. Actually, I liked it better than the first time, being older I got more out of it. Watching it back-to-back with Taxi Driver, I'm left perplexed. Cinematically, Taxi Driver was a groundbreaking film, but so was Panic in Needle Park, yet hardly anyone knows about it. Al Pacino's performance is amazing. It was his breakout film and got him the role in the Godfather.

I'm still in love with my Rüzgar on the P3!

I don't think I've ever seen Panic in Needle Park. I did see the movie in your picture (can't remember the name) for the first time last fall. One of the worst movies I've ever seen, but I couldn't stop watching it. Glad you're loving the Ruzgar!

Got my v31 beta P3 upgraded to v38 today. I knew I couldn't hold out 'till my trip to Santa Barbara! For those wondering what the programmer looks like, I took a couple photos for you. The shop just got their programmer in, and after the owner updated his (beta) P3, mine was the first customer P3 to get updated.

PS - Even if you could order one from ProVape, they cost about $200. That's why shops are charging various fees to recoup their cost.

It's the original Village of the Damned. I've seen much worse. One of my favorite "so bad it's good" films is Picture Mommy Dead.

Thanks for reminding me of the name. We watched it when we were on vacation in Asheville, NC last fall. We landed on it, and just couldn't stop watching. We laughed at how bad the acting was, that much I remember!

I just refilled my KFL+ with the top fill on the new top I bought for it. Boy was it ever easy and I didn't have to take it off my P3, turn it upside down and take out that teeny tiny screw, which I've dropped on the kitchen floor more than once. Those little suckers can sure roll into places one doesn't want them to. Like under the stove or under the refrigerator. This is so much simpler, that's for sure!

I still don't understand why changing the top on my KFL+ produces so much more vapor. It really is amazing!

Way too intelligent and logical. Nooooooooo, Sir Rod had to get on the floor with a flashlight and stick. But not any more. No he doesn't. He's got this killer new top fill thingy for his KFL+ and that waaaay too small screw really never has to leave it's threads again. No it doesn't!! So there!

ProVape / Vape360 / MonsterKenny - v38 bug report.

Keep in mind I have a beta that was still running v31, and just updated to v38.

When changing the display brightness from 1/2/3/4/5 on v31, everything was fine.
When changing the display brightness from 1/2/3/4/5 on v38, only brightness levels 1 & 2 are OK. Brightness levels 3, 4, and 5 exhibit the scan frequency, as if you were using video to capture the display and seeing the vertical rolling of differing brighthess (like a CRT TV vertical sync issue, for those engineers who understand that phenomenon). Somehow, you've introduced a vertical refresh bug in the upper 3 brightness levels. Unfortunately, since I jumped from v31 to v38, I can't tell you which firmware the bug was introduced, but I can assure you my v31 did not have this issue, and now v38 does. For now, I'll keep brightness at level 2. Being a video engineer, it "bugs" the living hell out of me ;) Pardon the pun.

EDIT, and PS - I agree with pretty much everyone that YELLOW was a poor color choice for the low battery indicator, and 18% was also a poor choice. I was one of those requesting the SAME behavior as the v2.5, and I don't think it started blinking at 18% (correct me if I'm mistaken). When the LED started blinking, I knew I had enough battery level left to make a 1/2 hour drive home from work, and soon after it would die. Since I just updated to v38, it'll take me some time to determine how many 1/2 hour drives I could get in before the battery dies.

Also, bravo on the battery percentage indicator. I've never seen 99% at 20W until v38. A freshly charged 18650 would best read 89%, and today after v38 and a fresh 18650, I witnessed 99%! Here's hoping I get down to 3.4V or less when EMPTY appears. Based on others' reports, you've fixed that issue as well.

Hmmmmm, you may have an issue with your P3. I don't have anything like you've described on my P3 at brightness levels 3, 4 or 5 on ver38.

I run my ProVaris with the lights off anyway. I'm okay with the flash-when-dead that my P3 does currently.

The "flash when dead" is extremely pointless. Press button, no vapor, oh, red blinking light is on - must be out of battery power. Duh.

Well, I tend to have a good idea of how much battery I've got left.

If it will be inconvenient to change the battery, when driving as an example, I'll pre-emptively change out the batt. When vaping at home or work, it's no problem to change the battery when drained.

So either way, no biggie for me.

What would be a bigger deal for me? A flashing Yellow light with close to 20% power left to go.

I doubt you're seeing something I can't. Well, let me rephrase that. I'm betting if you tried the brightness levels on my P3, you wouldn't see what you're seeing on your P3.

I wouldn't go that far. I've worked in professsional QC, and can see a single bad pixel in Ultra HD at video/film speeds. So that's 3840x2160x23.976 = 198,866,534.4 pixels/second. Think you can see what I see? I would never claim to be as good as someone else in their life-long profession. This is my profession, and yes, I could see it in yours too, assuming there were no hardware changes between the beta units and production units. That being the case, I ***GUARANTEE*** yours is doing it too - it's just that I have very trained eyes due to my profession.

OK.....I have no interest in arguing with you. You're clearly impressed with your amazing vision. I think however, you've made a blanket statement that there is a bug in version 38. You only have your device as the basis for this assumption. I'm sure I'm not nearly as talented as you, but I'm perfectly capable of recognizing scan lines such as you described. I'm telling you there are NONE in my P3 with the new software.

Let's make an analogy. You and an FBI agent witness a crowd. You both see exactly the same things. Are you arrogant enough to believe you "see" the same things the highly trained FBI agent sees? Of course not - that's what they're trained to do. Same situation here - I've been in the film and video business for well over 20 years, and for someone to tell me they can see the same things I can is simply offensive. Sorry to be so blunt, but seriously, think about your comment.

EDIT - Here are two ways anyone can prove this. First, set the brightness at level 1 or 2. Wave the P3 back and forth. You'll see the on/off cycles - the display is not on 100% of the time. LED/OLED's are either ON or OFF. You change brightness by setting both the time the display is on and the time the display is off, as well as the frequency at which this change happens. As you change the brightness, you'll see the difference in the on/off cycles. With a lower scan frequency, this phenomenon is more obvious when NOT waving the P3 back and forth. I believe the scan frequency was changed somewhere between v31 and v38, as my v31 did not have this issue, and my v38 now does. Perhaps 1% of the population can see it, but that doesn't change the facts.

Second, if you have an iPhone, use the "slo-mo" video feature. You'll see the difference in scan frequency.

If ProVape would like to contact me, engineer to engineer, I'd be happy to go into more technical detail with them to isolate the root cause. Other than that, I'm done discussing this, especially considering my post was directed towards ProVape.
