John D is correct. Just played with the brightness and at setting 3 it's not as sharp as setting 2 is. Look at boost and it's clear on setting 2, but slightly blurred on setting 3.

Not that it matters to me as I have no use for the higher settings. I do have 30 years of experience in identification. I'm a expert too.

Well I've gone and done it and as soon as the wife figures it out I'm dead meat. Went ahead and pulled the trigger on yet another ProVari, this time around I bought a classic. So now that makes it three ProVari's for me, a V2.5, P3, and the Classic. Here is a family photo:

My issue is you categorically stated it's a software bug with version 38. It may or may not be.

Of course it is! The problem didn't exist before, and now it does. I didn't say it happened in v38, but somewhere between v31 and v38. Regardless, ProVape made a change, and that change is causing an issue, therefore it is a bug. It's irrelevant how many people can see it or not - it's there, it's a bug.

The average is 15, so I would set it to 315,000. You can only increase the puff count then it figures out everything else. Once you get the puff count wrapped around and set to 315k, then you won't have to make any changes, it will keep track. :)

Thanks......Please make the suggestion to let us select the number of smokes we've not smoked, then your puff counter can take over as Ping also suggested.

I wanted to make a quick update about the Kayfun Top Fill I added yesterday. I filled it last night and got a little juice in the airhole. It wasn't much and all it took to get rid of it was to turn the device upside down, fire the button and blow a little air through the air hole and all was fine.

I refilled completely this morning and noticed the same thing. So, I can draw this conclusion. Yes, you can certainly fill from the top. But given the Kayfun is vacuum sealed, opening it right side up, does interrupt the vacuum just a tad.

All of the other things I really love about the top are still true. It holds more juice. It's nicer looking. And why it vapes better, I have no clue, but it does and that's all that matters to me.

This has been a public service announcement in case anyone decides to get one and is surprised to learn that immediately after filling a tiny bit of juice will come through the air hole.

Carry on..........

Rod, you might try holding your thumb over the air hole when opening up for a refill...I believe any bottom fed vacuum device will have the same issue.

Thanks Karl. I will try that. I more importantly wanted to let anyone know it's possible that filling from the top, which does break the vacuum, can lead to a little juice from the air hole.

If you put a straw in a bucket, then fill the bucket, the straw fills too. If the straw is small enough, it'll never reach the level of water in the bucket before you seal it up. That's what's happening to the Kayfun when you fill from the top. The chamber is slowly filling with liquid, because there's nothing to stop it from filling as you fill the tank. It reaches the level of the top of the deck, then overflows down the air intake tube, and out the airhole.

When top filling (without any tools), you put your thumb over the airhole, fill the tank as quickly as possible, place the top cap back on, give it a couple turns but don't tighten it down, turn the Kayfun upside down, then complete screwing the cap on. This avoids positive pressure in the tank that forces liquid into the chamber, flooding it, and out the airhole.

Karl's suggestion of plugging the airhole with your thumb is common practice among Kayfun owners who like to top fill, so it's good advice in this case too.

Thanks. At least two people, publicly anyway, get it. I agree 100% to the 99.9999% ;)

Make that three. When I go over the edge, I remind myself to "Stop painting the flamingo." It's in reference to me once obsessing close to a half an hour over what shade of pink to color a flamingo that turned out to be the size of a grain of rice. Most people don't notice the flamingo anyway.

The mantra I learned many years ago, which seems suitable to your hobby Ocy, 'is it something that a man riding by on horseback would notice?" If no, then don't worry about it. Ok, for the picky folks - it depends on the man and the speed of travel on the horse. Also, note that it describes a man on horseback.. a lady might notice more! LOL.

Shall I dare ask what your score was?
Let me say this about that. Before yesterday's round, my ESC max was a 7. I'm pretty sure it will be an 8 with the next handicap revision cycle. There were a lot of 7's on my card. But my P3 worked perfectly!

I was taught the 'jury concept'. Ask ten people on the street what they think, and if at least seven of them think one way-there you go.

Hurry and run some cable TV to the doghouse.

I may have to as I'll probably be in there for a long time. I know the first thing she'll say is "Why do you need so many?" She dreads it when I watch Phil Brusardo's videos on YouTube, thinks I'll go out and buy whatever Phil is reviewing. I just tell her that I'm quite satisfied with my ProVari's and KayFun's...
