Anyone else with polycystic ovarian syndrome?
My mother had it, I have it.
Haven't had my period for like 2 years!!!
Finally got health insurance so I've been visiting doctors like crazy-
they love doing blood work lol
My first obgyn was a guy and all he ever did was make me do blood work.
Then he saw I had an elevated thyroid so he sent me to a family doctor.
My family doctor is GREAT and his wife has pcos so he's very understanding and helpful
so I had him refer me to a lady obgyn.
The only problem is I couldn't get an appointment until march
so now I'm waiting on that.
I wanted to try metformin which helped my friend with pcos
it's also good for pre-diabetics and the pcos messes with your insulin so you have to watch blood sugar.
Anyway diabetes also runs in my family so I figured if it helps me not get diabetic that'd be great
unfortunately my stomach couldn't handle the metformin. I took it for two weeks and had the worst cramping and gas I've ever had.
the whole time. Finally I stopped taking it.
Anyway anyone else with fertility/ovary problems?
