Xtar VP1.......
Just for clarification the Xtar VP1 doesn't need spacers, and also comes with a regular and car charger plug.

Ehhh - so some xTar charges need extra spacers for short batteries. I got four extra spacers for $1.80 when I got the charger.
What I don't like about the NiteCore chargers are the quality control issues. Like an entire Rev. 1 run of the product that, basically, wasn't safe to use requiring the design to have significant changes. And now reports on ECF about the AC line cords being poorly manufactured with the charger plug end of things starting to show bare wire and needing replacement. That's the type of line cord I would expect to come with a TrustFire...
Saving $5.00 in the game of Xtar vs. Nitcore - not worth it. Don't cheap out on, of all things, the charger.
FYI: I just tested the Nitecore i2 I just received this past week, and it took about 5 hours to charge 2 AW 18650 batteries. The same batteries take about 3 to 3.5 hours in my Pila charger. The Nitecore does appear to be a decent charger for the money (about $20 on Amazon), but it only outputs .5 amps max which will take longer to charge larger capacity batteries.
The Nitecore I got replaces an XTar WP2 II that had one of the charging bays quit after about 6 months use, and we'll see how well the Nitecore holds up over time.

This seems like a pretty decent deal on a Nitecore i4 w/free shipping, i grabbed one:
