not really a post i just had to share and tell someone lol. I love this stuff i cannot stop vaping it! yumm. i make it a qt at a time and vape it all day till my head spins. if you like the Ry4 with that molasses-y sugary caramel aftertaste this is one of the best i think.
if someone has a better one or similar i wanna try it!

funny too, my first week of vaping i thought this was the nastiest junk on the planet, strange how our tastes change when we can taste again.

Hey Thrasher,

I just got some regular RY4 from TFA, is it the same?? Maybe the Double RY4 is twice as strong??? LOL. I did mix it @ 10% with a 50/50 base and I am letting it steep for a few days. Any experience on this flavor??

Gracias!

I don't think it's the same, but I don't know. I have the TFA "Double RY4" and the "Asian RY4." I like both of them but I haven't tried my hand at making my own recipe with them. I'm weird and DK-TAB is my main vape and I add the RY4 flavoring to my 6ml "Reo Grand" bottle when I feel like it. I don't even do precise measuring. It's good stuff.

Let it steep for a good long time, a couple of week at least. The flavors all come together. I've tried a lot of RY4's. The Asian, RY4-1, Double RY4, etc. From different vendors too, TFA, Hangsen, ECx, etc. The best boutique RY4 I've tasted was Timeless Vapors' RY4. I've tried mixing a recipe to duplicate it but no joy yet. Vape Dudes is pretty darn good also. I'm vaping it right now and there's something missing. I'm going to try adding a little molasses next.

Thanks for the direction...just ordered 5 seconds ago a 1oz bottle...hope I .... it, sounds like I will from the comments in this thread.

Does it need to steep at 10%...is that a good percentage?

For me it is but for you it might not be enough or it might be too much. Flavoring can always be "bumped up." I probably use about 10% (.6ml in a 6ml bottle of DK-TAB in my Reo Grand.)

I'd say start lower than 10% and work up if need be; unless you just feel really "gutsy."

Thanks,

Norman

I have the same mix - Ry4 Double at 10% in a 70/30 base - steeping even as we speak. My very first DIY! It tastes pretty good to me as is, but when my new batch of flavors arrives, I think I'll add a drop of cream and let it sit for another week. I got sample sizes of every flavor except this one. I'm counting on it being easy enough and good enough to keep me interested while while I'm learning more complex recipes and developing my mixing chops.

I'm really liking my mix of 10% Double RY4, 1% EM, 0.3% (about 1 drop per 10ml) of AP and 1 drop per 5ml of white vinegar. I use it as my "Ah, time to relax and vape" juice.

Also, the differences between the three RY4s that TFA offers:

RY4 TYPE FLAVOR

water soluble
This is one variation on an RY4 flavor, we also have two others
so we recommend getting the small size to see if it is right for you!
there is a slight floral note in this blend that is missing from the other RY4 versions we carry
some customers really want this note, others don't.

Ingredients: Natural & Artificial Flavors, Propylene Glycol, Glycerine, Ethyl Alcohol

RY4 ASIAN FLAVOR

water soluble

This flavor is a stronger and more caramel type flavor than our original RY4

Some customers prefer our RY4 Double, and other customers prefer this flavor
Warning: there are some customers who don't like this flavor, it is recommended (as always) to just try a small amount first before buying a larger bottle. But that's why we offer both!)

Ingredients: Artificial Flavor, Propylene Glycol

RY4 DOUBLE FLAVOR

water soluble

This flavor is a stronger and more caramel type flavor than our original RY4

Some customers detect a very slight fruity note to this flavor, but others don't.
We also offer RY4 Asian, which has no fruity note.

Ingredients: Artificial Flavors, Propylene Glycol

I really like this stuff. I mix 7% to make a 12mg 75/25 juice. Funny thing is I don't let it steep. I made a 10ml batch once and let it steep and the flavors seemed muttled, but it was still good. I then made a 30ml batch and it was really good from the start, but being a 30ml batch, it took a while to use up, and the flavors are starting to muttle up again near the end of the bottle. I can't imagine it requiring any other additives, but everyone has their own tastes. I might try the RWHy4 above since I'm not going to make large batches. The flavors I get from my mix are very subtle. If I smoke a different flavor and then go back to this, I need to smoke quite a bit before the real flavors are tasted. Maybe I need to up the percentage, but I started at 5%, went to 8%, and I'll back down to 7% because it seemed like it was started to taste a little bad.

It's one of the best single flavors you can make.

What does the white vinegar do? Several people have said that they add a drop to every recipe, so it must have a positive effect - I just can't imagine what that would be. :)
