I guess luck was on my side. followed the link from this thread Achilles RDA and the seller had just put up 2 more Achilles clones yesterday. Bought them both. The wife is not going to be happy with the vape budget this month...
That was a thread I started looking for an Achilles, the legit version of which I've since ordered from Titanium Mods. I'm confused by this page on the Bonanza site: ACHILLES - Titanium Mods Atomizer RBA - RDA Dual Mod Clone

Looks like there's still a clone in stock, but the spares kit looks to have filter material in it that would be included with the Prometey, not the Achilles.

Could be its possible to use fluff in it like the Prometeys, or could be a misunderstanding by the cloner about how its used.

Hope you have a good experience with Titanium Mods. A friend and I both had very poor experiences and will not buy from him again. There's a reason I waited for a Prometey 3 to show up in the classys instead of buying one from Mr. Bashik.

I don't suppose you could divulge the nature of the "very poor experiences."

The Aqua FX is beckoning me...

Not sure about it though.

Me too, but what i have read in the FX thread from multiple Aqua V1/V2/SE users is that it's more airy and not as flavorful. That has kept me away from trying it. I do like the looks and idea of it. You don't find many RTAs designed strictly for vertical coils.

Sure can. For me it was not receiving everything I ordered with my Ataman2. When I contacted him, I got a response that said, "Thank you for your feedback.". I emailed back, of course. He would not send me the items, nor issue a refund. He said "maybe we can discuss it when you buy another atty".

My friend's titanium tank didn't fit his Ataman2. It just spins on the base without sealing. He got the exact same two responses I did.

So IMO, not only lousy CS, but he's a thief as well.

Well thats an easy fix. Wrap smaller diameter coils.

Did you ever get the missing parts? If so, by what means?

That sucks, I was told by a couple of high end atty members that the maker/modder was sooooo helpful and had great customer service..... Im so glad I did not keep my Prom 3 dripper now. I dont like to own things no matter how good by people whos aftercare/customer care is that poor.

No. There was no way either of us were going to buy more attys from him. And heck, even if we did, "maybe" he would discuss it? Sounds like extortion to me.

Big Aspire type coil... Looks like a great way to use up all the peeled skins from the Japanese Cotton...

Soon as I saw the build, it was you've got to be kidding, but it could be a great vape, or not.

If it is carto type filler material in there, can it be used in wicking instead of, or in addition to, cotton?

Also, looks like the seller just put up a second Achilles as well. If anyone is looking to stock up, the seller has a 35% discount if you spend over $60. So you can get one achilles for $40, or 2 for $51.

This is going to be a little bit off topic, but Roxy mentioned being willing to talk about mech mods a few pages back. I've been thinking that I probably should have a few in my vapocalypse kit, even though I'm a little bit leery of using one. I feel a lot safer with a regulated mod, even though I'm aware that no mod is perfectly safe. But in the event that I ever wore out all the mods I currently have, a mech would definitely come in handy.

Today I found a mech on clearance at a site for $3.99. It is an EHPro New Yorker. Never having bought a mech before, I have no idea if this is a good one or would be good for a beginner. But if it's decent, it wouldn't break the budget to buy a couple. Any thoughts?

90% of my devices are mech. I love mechs. I learned on a semi mech ( saber touch with a button) type button . Then jumped right into full mechs.
Ive only recently bought a P3 and 60watt box. Though I like them a lot, I LOVE my mechs.

I think its a good idea if the vapocalypse does hit get something that is easy to break down completely and clean. Technically it can last as long as its cleaned, nothing to fry.

There are a lot of great mechs in the classifieds right now, one of which is a great one for 50? 316 SS that works and looks great, Roxy can attest to it being a good one, A Polidiac by MMV in Greece. It used to be about 200? If I didnt already have more than enough great mechs....

BTW Im not the one selling it, Im just very tempted.
