Just found a new use Reo tubing......

I bought some reverse tweezers, and a very small pair of very pointy scissors. Neither had a guard on the end, didn't have a piece of eraser or cork handy, then thought........tubing! Cut a piece to put in the end of each and it worked great! Plus it stays on better than eraser or cork.

@Spydro, I sure hope you were out of harms way. Check in with us please....we want to know that you're okay.
@Spydro and others in the Las Vegas area - very sorry to hear of last night's insanity.

Yes, please check in. I have an associate at work losing her mind right now. Her kid sister went with a friend to Vegas and she can't get in touch with her. Prayers to those suffering right now.

I haven't been on the Las Vegas Strips Casino District for probably 15 years. Besides, my wee hours of the night out and about's in the city are commonly between 2AM-4AM give or take an hour, so usually 3-4 hours later than this killing spree. I did however know about it almost immediately, so was following the local news as it unfolded.

Las Vegas is a lot like San Francisco was the years I lived there off and on '67-'71. People here from all walks in life get along very well with each other and support each other in time of need. The powers here are so overwhelmed with the local help being offered to the point that it was a 6-8 hours waiting line to donate blood at three locations, so they started making appointments. I'll not be able to donate blood until early Thursday morning. I have the universal red cell type O negative blood. They'll want it all.

Despite the new array of tag types (like, love, funny, etc), there is no 'relieved' so I gave you a like.

I figured you wouldn't be down there during this, night owl non-strip trekker that you are, but good never the less to hear from you, brother.

Also inspiring to hear of the citizen rally to aid and good for you to donate that valuable blood. :thumb:

Really hope she finds her and she's ok. Have you heard anything yet?

I hadn't heard about this since I rarely watch the news. Had to look up what had happened. That's just horrible. Just don't know how folks can do things like that. glad our spydro is ok!

Looking good. Makes me miss the old days. You had a couple nice jumps in there.
Thanks! Thats my first ever attempt with a gopro. Got lots of footage to make into a video review of a mod. Will be a few days before i can edit it all though.

I fell so in love with the act of filming like this I already ordered a higher end camera (this is the basic level) and some more mounts. Gonna have a blast learning the ropes and it will be great to be filming my adventures out west soon!

Testing, testing...

Thanks for sharing this. Miss the 'mountain' bike days of long ago, but mine had motors on them from the late 50's to early 90's.

IIRC you said you are going to the Moab Area?

I spent quite a bit of time there off road on dirt bikes, 4X4 ATV's and 4X4 trucks from the early 60's to mid 60's, and then again mid 70's to late 90's.

At one time there wasn't all that many two-track's in Utah that I hadn't been on, and near the same in most of the Rocky Mountains from northern ID/northwestern MT to UT/CO and quite a bit of the desert SW (UT/NV/CA/AZ/MX).

Some pics of a Moab Jeep Rally I think I have posted before...

Awesome pics! I am going to Colorado and probably Moab after that, but given a lack of time I may only explore CO on this trip. But Moab area is tentatively on the agenda. Looks so awesome out there. Never been to the rockies or the desert before.

Q - how does the video look quality wise? (I know it's shaky, but otherwise?)

See on my PC it looks fantastic, nice colors, zero blur. Watching it on youtube though it's sort of blurry. But my connection sucks, so I'm wondering if it's A) rendered to YT incorrectly or B) my connection speed just can't get a non-blurry image out of it even at 1080p.

Much of the RM's in CO are spectacular. What area(s) in CO?
