Forgot to say the resistance is .22 (11 wrap).... after initial breakin, watts went down as vaping (under 15) so I'm just happy its a good vape. Yes its my same Achilles dripper tank; just a dripper with 2 deep drip wells, and air under the single coil. One of my favorites for flavor. -

I just up the ID of my coil to 2.5mm lots of cotton and i drop down to 450 because it seems 500 was too much for a thicker coil... Not only that but the wattage produced during firing is much more than with the smaller ID. Goes through the juice faster too (but the vapor is more dense)... -

I can imagine the concern if you are not versed in rebuilding and all that comes with it... that said I am stoked they put this out now. A question i have is what do we do with gunked or semi gunked coils that we used to dry burn? I am vaping on the first coil I made and have now rewicked it... -

that's interesting; i have a single coil 2mm ID, 30g, .18 ohms (10 or 12 wraps) and tried your settings: 440 and 40w. When semi cool, the coil only goes up to 33w to heat up and then when warm/hot, doesn't go more than 10w (5 to 10w fluctutions) and vapor is not dense enough... that's why i go... -
What is the relationship between coil diameter, ohms rating, awg, & wick size?
its organic Japanese cotton pads... there are a few different types and brands including Muji, White Pony, Ko Gen Do but look on ebay and any of those will do; they are pads that need to be cut with the grain, and either rolled into a cylinder or just cut to fit --- pinch the tip and slip into...- ukeman

ok this morning i took a look at my coil which I've had on 500 and 510 all day yesterday, and 450 to 500 the day or two before. I've had the same coil since day one... 3 days? Anyway, the wick did deteriorate; Japanese cotton and did come apart at the middle when i pulled on it from one side...- ukeman

no just the opposite... imo the difference is heat... the kanthal you are using is thick wire and at sub ohms resistance, the heat is there. Of course you are going to have a warmer vape. But the Ni200 is thin wire which also cools down faster too. So up the temp of the dna 40. That's what i've... -

I think one good factor is your voltage / watts used as well as resistance and all as posted... I'm sold on Japanese cotton, but many many love eko (and nextel RxW). There are different ways to coil this stuff... hand wrapped spaced, hand wrapped micro (contact coils) and also pre wrapping...- ukeman

well imo you need to up the temp to get it closer to the other devices (with all that thick wire)... I get it though, imo there's distinct choices to be made between thin wire TC vaping, and thick wire, high wattage... not sure what the differences in amps is but imo the difference is in the... -

Never did twisted coils --- does it halve the resistance like a dual coil? If so you are going to have to make a lot of wraps to get that up to .15 even. I guess if you use a wide ID of course it would help. I've started out with contact coils ( i just call them micro coils) because thats what...- ukeman

i think a point made was that over 400 is not unsafe if the juice is there; it seems to me the cotton is fine after vaping at 510 now and 500 all day. No burnt taste at all. Like I said, when it loses juice the TC lowers the power... that's how I'm sensing it anyway. I'll ahve to take a closer... -

it has something to do with my habit over the last 2 years of sub ohms vaping... I like a certain amount of quick response. But I don't think I have it like Bishopheals yet. I think as long as it doesn't dry hit too much its ok... i don't notice any discolor at the coil... and like i said...- ukeman

I have 4 other regulated mods running too, but this one in the Flask40 is a charm; I've refilled it about 3 to 4 times a day, changed batts every other day. oh yeah absolutely... i have 5 devices going at all times... similar but different juices in each. Now with the dna and what I absolutely LOVE about them... even the 20, you got low watts but high voltages.... I don't remember how high the 20 goes but the 30 has up to what 9 volts? ok, thin... -

I prefer my Origen2 b/f (authentic) over my Magma b/f... absolutely great job by CH btw... because while they both are cooler vape even at .25 ohms, they both have air limiting with small air hole choices, the Origen seems to condense the vapor the way a mouth to lung vaper likes it better...- ukeman
